This is a thread for those looking to plan and pass the time until our September 2012 trips to the World and or the DCL. We have a two months until ADR planning can begin! Join in on the fun of planning with a great group!

Resort List for September 2012

Please see Post 438 on page 30 for the most up to date Resort list using the link above.

Due to an unexpected change of plans, we are no longer going in September. Basketkat is now maintaining the Resort List for the September 2012 group.

Happy travels to all!

This space saved for links to future pre-trip reports so we can follow each other's planning.

We got back last week, and booked a bounceback offer for Sept 4-10th...YEAH! This is the longest time I have had to book, and sooo excited to get started!

Sept 5-9th at BWV, another adult-only sept bday trip for me!! I already know where I want to make my adr's for, just have to wait til March!!

Our adr wish list:

day 1 - DHS- Capt Grill lunch/Kouzinna dinner (or qs lunch & FFC dinner)
day 2 - EPCOT- Le Cellier lunch /California Grill dinner
day 3 - me am MK/dbf sleep (EPCOT emh) - Big River brewing/ Jiko dinner
day 4 - AK - Tusker House (either late bf or early lunch)/Yachtmans dinner
day 5 - Cape May late bf, relax at hotel/pool, til they kick us out. :lmao:

We may get dxdp or we may just pay oop, we have TIW, will have to do cost difference.

This of course is all dependent on schedules and such, but I worked this out based on Sept 2011 schedule. We do almost all our park time during the day, we leave around 2-3pm. Then pool/relax time, followed by dinner and relax.

Nice to see a familar name from the September 2011 thread. Hoping this one can be as fun as the last. I already have our plans too. I.just have to wait for park hours and EMH to plan everything out. Can't wait to make ADRs in March. We have been trying different things each trip and really want to try the Behind the Seeds tour in the Land. We will see as it gets closer though. :goodvibes

Glad to see you as well!!

Dbf really wants to do that tour. So I think while I am riding Soarin (back to back using his fp, since he won't do it), he will do that tour. We may do that on our trip in January.

Yay!! I just decided on our dates of sept 1-10! Going to book it next week. Anyone familiar with early September? (Weather, events, crowd levels, etc) so excited!!! The time will fly by, just you see!

Weather wise, it is still hot. The crowds are historically at their lowest, as well as it being value season, so prices for hotels are lowest and there are usually FD promotions as well as other promotions. However later in the month it gets much busier because of the Halloween parties.

Sept 1-10 is a good time to go, even Labor Day isn't a busy holiday. I use easywdw.com for info. It is a pretty comprehensive calendar of crowd predictions as well at pricing info and temperatures.

We got back a month ago, and we've already booked Bounce Back for next Sept  Love me some Bounce Back!

We've always gone the first week of Sept, and LOVE it. Yes, it's still quite warm but we're from S Louisiana, so we're used to it  What we love is never having to fight crowds or crazy-long lines. In fact, this year we saw the largest crowds ever in MK, I'm guessing due to Toon Town having closed. Being able to walk right onto many of our fave rides is totally worth having to deal with the heat, at least for us.

We're also planning a quickie 4 day trip in late Jan, but ssshhhh! It's a surprise for our kids :woohoo:

So, on our ADR list for next Sept, we have Mama Melrose (love!), Via Napoli or Biergarten (never been to either of these...any opinions as to which is preferred?), Le Cellier (that soup...oh my), Yak and Yeti, 1900 Park Fare maybe. Obviously, we haven't firmed these up lol.

Also, we're flying for the first time this year. Our kids are old enough now that we don't have to pack half the house to travel for 8 days, so we're looking forward to saying adios to the 10 hr pilgrimage :yay:

:welcome:

It is awesome to have another September traveler. I am a Floridian so I totally understand about being used to the heat. I agree that I would prefer to be hot, then wait in ridiculous long lines. I have the patience of a two year old. Actually the two year old might be better than me. ;)

Wooo whooo found ya!!!

Plans are still up in the air, but I think I will be going with or without my friend! (She won't know till after the beginning of the year).

It seems to be on my mind alot... I am a planner and like to plan... but afraid I will turn her off if I bug her too much about it.

We're looking, right now, at September 29 to October 6 at AKL. That is if we don't move our dates more into October to beat the heat. :cool1:

Yay! Glad to see everyone jumping on board the September 2012 train! I promise to update our list tomorrow. I have been really busy the last two nights with graduate work and will have more time tomorrow. My kids asked tonight when we were going next. My little one wants to be big enough to ride Test Track with her brother. I hope she will be. She is an inch and a half a way, but I am hoping a year will change that. Well, I will update the main list tomorrow. :thumbsup2

:welcome:party: So glad that we can all be planning together! I updated the list on the first page to reflect the current tentative plans listed by people so far. I know things always change, so just let me know and I'll up date the list with the changes.

We are excited to be planning a 10th anniversary trip. My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Disney so we thought it was only fitting to return again for our 10th anniversary. Right now, we are debating an adult only trip or whether we want to include the kids also. (they will be very sad if they can't go and I don't know yet if we want to do Disne without them) My mom has been going with us the past three years and said she will watch the kids either way- here at home or part of the time in Disney.

I'm joining in! We don't have definite plans, but we may do a cruise and a couple days at the World. We were going to skip a year, but I'm thinking I won't be able to.:rotfl: Hope you don't mind me stalking the thread before we have plans in place. I can feed on your enthusiasm meanwhile.:goodvibes
