2013 dates

Think I'll do some on-line exploring this weekend on various cabins for this cruise, to see if I want to change into one before it is re-classified.

.....anything to avoid housework......

As of today I officially have enough to put a deposit on a cruise:cool1:

So now I can join the fun! I think I was the only one hoping the end of Oct. announcement:lmao:

A little birdy told me today that there is a good chance that they will be announcing either Monday or Tuesday!!!!!

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

No little birdy here but that sounds reasonable. Since the room configuration changes are for bookings prior to October 20th, it makes sense that they would annouce the 2013 dates on Mon or Tues and then open booking on Thursday (the 20th).

I been waiting! :surfweb:...How is the structure to open the dates and bookings? Is it for everyone on that day or will they allow Gold and Platimum be able to book first? I'm so confused over that b/c I am only silver (for now ;) )...would they consider me as the general public for now?

OK question now is what to do! Does anyone know how quickly prices went up for the TA when it was announced for this year? We sail on the 30th so debating if to book then try to reshop or just leave it

They announce.
A couple days later Plat & Gold can book.
A couple days after Plat & Gold booking starts, it opens for Silver and General Public at the same time.

This waiting is killing me! We just got off the Dream and we booked a dummy date, so I'm anxious to change it to the "real date". :cool1:

I'm with you. We just got off the Dream, not quite 3 weeks ago, and we are anxious to book too. We didn't book on the ship and we should have.

I'm definately reading too much into everything now! Just found shore excursions for Palma lol! Patience is a virtue but I clearly have none!

I hope DCL learned their lesson about lumping Silver with the general public!

Haven't seen anything about them adding early booking as a silver perk. But then, they certainly didn't notify anyone when they downgraded the gold/platinum shopping perk. :sad2:

:sad2: I would think that they would give silver a day or two before, I understand that Gold & Plat would be first (being they've been on so many cruises with DCL)... can't wait until I've reach my 6th cruise I guess to be on the next level...:confused3

What is this? We just became gold & saw a shopping perk on our last cruise but we didn't buy enough.

It used to be a $25 stateroom credit for a $100 purchase (which is why you probably didn't use if if you didn't have purchases totalling $100). I remember adding an $8 item to bring my total to the $100 amount so I could get the discount/obc.

Now is is 10% off most items in the stores (regardless of amount spent), which is a nice thing for those just buying an item or two. But, it sure was nice being able to pick up two Dooney wristlets and saving $25. A 10% discount, sure ain't a 25% discount!

It may be that computing the discount and applying it to the stateroom account was a hassle and people who weren't buying a lot were not able to get any kind of shopping perk, and it sure is nice to get SOMETHING.

(Also the discount does not apply to the shops on Castaway Cay, fyi)

Do you think that the Magic will do the 5 nt in 2013?

I would like to pick the 5nt on the Magic and 7 nt on the Fantasy ....
hoping for a B2B.. am I hoping for something that won't be happening?

When did this change? We just sailed the 3-nt Sept 29 and the shopping offer was a $25 obc for spending $100. I tried to save our purchases for the last night but still didn't come close. It would be nice if they let guests choose either option once per cruise.
