We have been trying hard to get reservations at Le Cellier for this upcoming trip. I found a date where it popped up for 4 guests but there are only 2 of us and it won't come up with only two guests. Is there any way around this?

Hi OP... I'm just wondering if you did call and try to modify the ADR? Did it work out? I have a similar situation.

so how did you check availability without specifying the number of guests? i guess i'm missing something??

Remember Le Cellier is now a signature restaurant so if you going for dinner and on the DDP it will take 2 table sittings per person :)

There are only a handful of 2-tops at LeCellier, and they go quickly. Most tables here are set up for 4.

I did see that, we are using TiW this time not the dining plan so it looks like it's a good thing we chose this trip insteand of a futrue one on the DDP.

So if one of our kids is a baby in a highchair should we try looking for a 4 top ressie instead of a 5?

No, you'll need to book for 5. That high chair wouldn't fit at your table if you booked for 4. Plus, restaurants have to keep occupancy under capacity. If they're booked solid you could very well be turned away for having more than your reservation is for.

No, because the child counts as a person. When you arrive they'll switch you to a party of 5 and then you will have to wait for a table for 5. Worst case scenario is that they tell you they can't accommodate a party of five.

You can remove people from a restaurant reservation pretty easily, but adding them means there is a possibility it could get tricky.
