DH and I are heading back again this year to WDW. We were just there in February/March, but just found out that the soccer team he coaches got into the Disney Showcase tournament :cool1: - this after we were told they weren't in (after I had made all the ADRs for our trip), evidently they reconsidered and they're in.

We will be there from 12/25 :santa:-12/31 - yes the craziest of crazy times during the year, but hey it's an essentially free trip so it's well worth it to us. We're staying at All Star Sports, because that's the one onsite resort they offer.

So here are our ADRs, what do you think?

12/25 - Arrival, tour the resorts:
Lunch - Gasparilla Grill
Dinner - Narcoossee's, late enough that we'll be able to see Wishes from there.

12/26 - Animal Kingdom
Breakfast - Tusker House, before the park opens
Dinner - Chef Mickey's (DH loves it here and we didn't get there in Feb/Mar)

12/27 - Magic Kingdom, Soccer Tournament & Epcot
Lunch - ESPN Grill, you'll note that we're eating here the next three days for the tournament, good thing we like the pulled pork sandwich
Dinner - Crystal Palace

12/28 - Epcot, Tournament & maybe a little Magic Kingdom
Lunch - ESPN
Dinner - Yorkshire County Fish Shop, another place DH loves

12/29 - Hollywood Studios & Tournament
Lunch - ESPN
Dinner - 50s Prime Time, followed by seeing Osborne Lights during F! (which we will not be attending)

12/30 - Magic Kingdom & Tournament
Breakfast/Lunch - TBD, based on if the kids get into the consolation or championship game
Dinner - Hoop Dee Doo Review

12/31 - Tour Resorts
Breakfast - 1900 Park Fare

Now, I should add that depending on game times, we may have an early buffet breakfast at Cape May Cafe one day, instead of lunch at ESPN, but we won't know until the schedules are out.

Thanks for letting me share!

Wow! What great adrs and for such a busy time! We couldn't get TH and we are going during a slow time! Congrats and have fun! :yay:

Thanks! I'm amazed we got TH at 8:05 but figured this would be a good day for AK since alot of people will hit MK since some will just be arriving on the 26th. Woo hoo!

Congratulations on your ADRs at this late date!

We will be at WDW the same week as you. My entire family is celebrating Christmas together at the parks. It should be fun!

I made a whole bunch of ADRs back in June at our 180-day point. I was pleased to get the ADRs we wanted since they were for Christmas week and for a large group (12-16 people). Here's what we have:

Dec 25: EP - Les Chefs de France for Christmas dinner
Dec 26: MK then EP - Rose & Crown Pub for lunch
Raglan Road for dinner
Dec 27: AK - Yak & Yeti for lunch
Epcot - Biergarten for the CP dinner package
Dec 28: Universal Studios
Dec 29: Universal Studios
Dec 30: DHS - Sci-Fi Dine-In for lunch
MK - Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner
Dec 31: Home

for the whole December month.

I had to change two, TS reservations this week for an early December trip. I didn't have any problems doing it. I picked pretty popular places and times. To me this was highly unusual considering I'm there for free dining and we are under 60 days out.

Even based on disboard discussions, I feel there will be low crowds. There doesn't seem to be as much action, here lately.

I'm curious about the crowds myself. Even with the soccer tournament, we had no problems getting All Star Sports that we booked through Disney, the only Disney resort the tournament is offering. Also saw that CRT is available for something every day we're there. Plus Narcoossees on Christmas in time for fireworks? Crazy!

Gayl, your ADRs look terrific! 'See' you in Disney!!

Your choices look good...great picks!
We're going the 20th-26th...all 15 of DH's family. I made ADRs at 178 days out...forgot at 180 days, oops. I had trouble getting exactly what we wanted. We wanted a lunch at Le Cellier for Xmas day...but couldn't get it. And we wanted Ohanas on the 21st at 6-7-ish pm, but could only get it at 9:45. Here's what I booked. And paying OOP,no DDP.
12/20 fly in at 3:45, so we didn't make ADR...maybe do CS or try to get in somewhere...don't know what we'll do that night (a park or not). We are staying at OKW, so could probably get into Olivias easily if we need to.
12/21 Biergarten at 7:05
12/22 Bongos at 6:00
12/23 Ohana at 8:00
12/24 Whispering Canyon lunch at 2:20
12/25 Rose and Crown lunch at 1:20
12/26 we have a 6:50 flight, so will probably do a lunch CS somewhere

Looks good! We were there in July for my girls' softball team world series tournament. We ate at ESPN grill a little that week. We were super tied up with the tourney and barely made it into the parks. I hope your tourney is less intense. That WWoS is crazy busy/chaotic and if you have an opening ceremonies, that will be a madhouse and start late. We only played 2 games at WWoS and the rest were at another park in Orlando area...are you playing everything at WWoS? Have fun and good luck!

I just made reservations for that same time period and had no problem getting what I wanted -- including choice restaurants. Only funny since I spent literally months checking several times a day for ANYTHING for our trip in September -- "slow season" -- but super-high season was no problem. LOL!

What places did you book and on what dates? I had trouble getting what I wanted when I booked back in June...and I've been still watching for what I want to come up, but no luck.

We are definitely quite familiar with the ESPN complex. This will be out 3rd tournament for soccer. He had teams in the 3v3 tournaments in 2009 & 2010. We can't wait to go back! Thankfully no opening ceremony, that we know of yet. Only one game per day too! Yahoo!

We are having one ADR issue now. We are trying to change Chef Mickey's from 7:50pm to 5 or 6 so we can get to the 8:30 team meeting. So, we wait, watch and hope.

Have fun everyone!!

I have the Plaza on the 26th & 28th, lunch and dinner. (We :lovestruc the Plaza, and are going OOP this trip so it's a great deal!)

LTT lunch on the 27th and 30th -- I had one, decided to move the reservation and of course the system was down so I couldn't cancel the first. Now I need to figure out which one I needed to keep. :/

'Ohana on the 27th, dinner -- albeit a late dinner at 9.

Sci-Fi on the 31st, dinner, and LC on the 1st, lunch.

It's not a ton of reservations but I was shocked that as soon as we decided the trip was a likely "go," I logged on and was able to find 'Ohana and LC. We may not keep the 'Ohana (it was a very poor allergy experience last trip, but OTOH, the friend with the problematic allergies won't be along.) I'll be lucky if I don't get talked into adding another LC. ;)

Looks good...similar to mine. You should keep the Ohana...yummmm! I tweaked mine yesterday so we could do the Candlelight package on Xmas Eve. We need something for the 21st now...would love Sci-Fi but that's booked. We may do one of the dinner shows. We're using the TIW card. By the way, Jen12573, you can use TIW card st the ESPN Grill place. I'll make use of that if we go back for softball tourney in July. When we had a rain delay this July, I sat back in the bar with my mom and we had soup and salad and a couple yummy drinks :thumbsup2

Mmm, drinks - thanks lovin'fl! Actually we really do love the pulled pork sandwich there, and it's usually big enough that DH and I will split it. We were able to book through WDW and get the DDP, because DH is the assistant coach so only the head coach had to book with Anthony Travel (we found the loophole ;))

We did a tweak to ADRs as well - we gave up the 7:40PM Chef Mickey's ADR on 12/26 and replaced it with a 5:45 ADR at 1900 Park Fare, we've never been there for dinner, but we love it there for breakfast. This way DH can make it to the team meeting at 8:30PM. Whew. I can't wait - all flights are booked (now that fickle Southwest dropped the price of our 12/25 flight!) and ME is also booked. We're ready to go!!!
