2013 dates

Thank you everyone who replied to my question. I can see why it will make sense to book right away. What is the current deposit per passenger to book a cruise. We were supposed to take a 4 day in 2008 and back then I remember it being $200/passenger.

20% of the cruise fare

We haven't cruised yet, but want to try one in 2013. I am just wondering how much you truly save by booking early. Is it a matter of a couple hundred dollars, or is it significantly more? We would be 2A 2C (12 and 10 at the time of the cruise), and going for the cheapest stateroom, probably on the Fantasy, in June or July. It seems like I keep getting told to book early, but if I have to put down a huge chunk of change to book something that I'm only actually saving $100-200 on by booking early, I'd rather hold onto my money and book closer to a year out. Any suggestions? :confused3

This will put it in perspective: The cabin we booked the first week that booking was open for our June 2012 cruise is now double the price if we were to book it now.

Thank you for answering my question! Is there a big difference in price between summer and fall?

I was determined I wasn't going to post on this thread but I can't resist looking at it each time I come on the DIS so here goes, I'm another one who's impatiently waiting. Looking at August so keeping everything crossed that I won't have to wait until the spring to book - I HATE being tickerless!!

I am waiting as well...we have a June 2012 booked on Fantasy for a great price and a Dec 2012 dummy cruise that I am ready to move into 2013 as soon as they open up their booking...any day now right.....:surfweb:
