A few questions about DxDP

Alright, I need to make sure I'm clear on what my DxDP will entail in 28 days (we upgraded from free dining, so normally we wouldn't be planning to eat so much. :thumbsup2)
First, when they say one appetizer at a table service meal, do they mean one per table, or one per person? (As a party of 2, we would generally order one, that's why we want to make sure whether or not we can order two) From what I'm understanding, we can each order a Tavern fried cheese from LTT, but we can't both order anything that says "for two" or "serves two/three/four", such as the onion rings for two from PT50's?
Second, can milkshakes count as drinks OR desserts? And with WCC, we would most likely only eat breakfast there, can you order a milkshake for your drink at breakfast since it is on their breakfast menu?
Third, we were considering going to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue for the about 25th time, but it says we must put in payment before we can reserve seats, even if on the DxDP. Should we just wait and book when we're down at Disney? Or is Disney good at returning the money you put down on the show?
I'm sorry these are so many questions and I really should know this, but I'm just having an off day I suppose.
Thanks in advance!

You get one appetizer, one entree, one dessert, and one regular drink for each person using a DxDP credit. So if there are two you at the table, both using DxDP credits, then you will get two appetizers.

I've not done this yet (DxDP on the next trip!), but I would guess that at the Disney owned and operated places (such as LTT and 50's PT) you can order the appetizer for two. They may say that you cannot order a second appetizer (because the "for two" part covered both of you). I would ask before ordering just to be clear.

I've not ordered the milkshake at WCC, but on our last trip the server said we could choose the milkshake (at dinner) as our drink.

One per person. Unless it is an appetizer labeled "for two," then you both might have to order it. Depends on the restaurant as to whether they'll let you order a "for two" appetizer individually or you'd have to split it.

Second, can milkshakes count as drinks OR desserts?

Depends on the restaurant.

And with WCC, we would most likely only eat breakfast there, can you order a milkshake for your drink at breakfast since it is on their breakfast menu?

If it's on their breakfast menu it will depend on whether they consider it a drink or dessert, because there's no dessert with breakfast. You'd have to ask when you are there.

Try booking by phone, not online. If you must book online and the system makes you pay, your payment will be refunded when you pick up the tickets and let them know you will be switching to paying with dining credits.

1 per person

Typically correct, though you may be allowed to share something "for two" if you pool your credits.

Second, can milkshakes count as drinks OR desserts? And with WCC, we would most likely only eat breakfast there, can you order a milkshake for your drink at breakfast since it is on their breakfast menu?

I don't know about breakfast. And it varies by restaurant. But at most Disney-own restaurants, you can get a shake as beverage or dessert.

You should be able to pre-pay for HDDR with your dining credits. If it doesn't work online, then do it over the phone.

Thanks in advance!

Milkshakes will count as your drink if you order it at breakfast. DS and DD were very pleased last December.

Just did a week on DxDP. Be prepared to waste food - we were so sick by the end of the week and felt like fat cows! Anyway, in our experience, you got one appetizer that was "for two" EXCEPT at ESPN Club - we got the nachos which I believe are "for two" and the server let us order a second appetizer.

Second, can milkshakes count as drinks OR desserts? And with WCC, we would most likely only eat breakfast there, can you order a milkshake for your drink at breakfast since it is on their breakfast menu?
I believe you can order a milkshake at breakfast but we did not think the milkshakes at WCC were that good. Pre-made and chocolate sauce is added to a vanilla shake to make it chocolate and ours were not even mixed. If you're looking for a good shake, go to Sci-Fi! They let us get it as a drink there, so we still got a dessert.

We did the Deluxe last August & found it very simple to use. The servers will point out what aps/drinks are included with the plan. I thought I had everything 100% planned out before we left but we had a few bumps & ended up with 8 credits left over.

Have a GREAT trip!!! :thumbsup2

Planning on getting the DxDDP in 2012-will the plan still include appertizers?
TIA

It's 1 appetizer for each person unless it say app for 2. Some restaurant like sanaa will let you get one of those per person but Mama Melrose won't.

Yes you can order a milkshake as a non alcoholic beverage included in the meal

HDDm, if you call to make the reservation, I know if you take a certain category, it counts as a 2 credit meal and you don't have to pay for it however they will ask for a cc number as guarantee in case you don't show up.
