what a great thing you are all doing. I wish I could go and meet some of my fellow Hampton Roads (And mid-atlantic) Dis-ers but I plan to be at DHS that day.

Cherinva did you say there was a way we could donate through the meet or is it best to do so through the boards weblink?

Geez, go on vacation for a few days and the board becomes busy.... All is well in Las Vegas. Believe it or not, but there are Disney characters here. They are on the streets waiting for people to take pictures with them. They are rather sad looking and require money donations. Great, now when I visit WDW I will want to hand the characters money during a meet and greet. . They also talk.

What is sad is that people are actually excited to see these characters and pay money to have their photos taken with them. I guess it is cheaper than actually paying for WDW, and the lines are much shorter but to me it seems sacrilegious. (I hope I spelled the word correctly). Anyhoo...


The Las Vegas Disney Character Outlet was a disappointment and really expensive. But if you want Disneyland items, this is the place to go.

I hope everyone is doing okay especially those effected by the hurricane. Cheri, have a great week at WDW.

Hey Everyone.....I'm back from a most wonderful vacation to WDW....I got some nice items for our meet.....I was a pin trading fool too.....my DBF now says I have no shame when it comes to trading pins...I went up to every cast member I saw with pins and looked at what they had...it was so much fun !!!

Still need to unpack, but all in time.

I guess we would have to separate supply money donation from the Power of 10 money donation. I just assume it would be easier to send the supplies on the GKTW wish list and then send any money donation under the Power of 10 campaign. I guess I want things to be as easy as possible instead of being more complicated, but we can work with everyone and figure it out.

I suppose if anyone wants to donate money for the GKTW wish list we would have to send it separately from the Power of 10 money donation.

How are you planning on delivering the 'WISH LIST' items? Our family would like to contribute but don't want to burden you with having to ship. We'll do whatever you all prefer. Thx! Nov. is sure coming fast.

It sure is !! As far as I know, we are planning to ship the items down. Melissa and I are going to meet up next month to finalize some items.

I finished one of my items for the auction...it looks great !!! One more to go.

Have you thought about selling t shirts to raise $ at the meet? I sent an email to GKTW to ask if they could possibly supply some for our meet. DIS unplugged t's would be cool too. I started looking for t's to buy for our family to wear at the meet and thought we could support the cause at the same time. Others may be interested also? It would be a nice take away from the meet & help spread the word on this great charity.

Cheri has sent out letters to corporations, etc. to see if they would donate to the Meet. Should we receive any money, we will keep this idea in mind. Cheri and I have spent a lot of our own money for our Meet and I am not sure if we can do this.

I really like the idea, so we will see what happens. We still have 49 days to go. Thank you for the idea.

It's not an idea that has crossed my mind, but it could be cool.....you know the rules.....you're idea.... go for it
