Thank you sooooooo much!!! It looks great---I'm definately going with this!!

((I'm thinking I'll take my own $12.99 bottle of Rosa Regale, lol))

:yay:

Thanks for sharing those menus!!! I am sure December will be here quick:)
And my favorite! No Disney trip is complete with spending some time with Rosa:)

:goodvibes Happy Wednesday Everyone :goodvibes

Anyone have a picture of the private dining menu?? I checked the menu on allears and it was from 2009. Trying to figure out breakfast the morning of the wedding since club level isn't available. The lady steaming my dress and his suit is coming at 7:30am  and said she would be there for about 45 minutes-an hour. After that, it's too close to run out... unless I just go to Gasparillas :( Not what I was visioning

Much appreciated if you have it!

This just reminded me of my wedding day :goodvibes my hair was done complete with tiara and whilst Caroline Allen was steaming my dress and my mum was getting her hair done my bridesmaids and me went up to the lounge for breakfast! :rotfl: it was pretty early so not many people about, I even made my own toast...lol

Hi Everyone!

Well, after a very interesting trip getting here from PA, WE ARE AT THE GRAND!!!!! We are in RPC room 3407. Great view of the castle! :cool This resort is SO georgous as usual...no surprises there! I will check out the walled of area where the rumored DVC is going up in more detail, but what we saw from the monorail, it's not too bad!

We arrived in Orlando very late, so we decided to sleep a bit longer than we normally would and headed over here around 9ish. Got checked in (room not ready, but was ready by noon) and went to MK. All I can say, is I'm very surprised that all the rides were walk on, except Splash and Space Mountains, but I never saw the times go above 10 mins, but they were more like 5 mins max! As the day progressed, Peter Pans Flight started to build and by 7 it was posted at 1 hour. Just about every fast pass return time were about 30-35 mins when we got them. We did use them a few times, but honestly, really didn't need to!

Park was very busy tonight when we returned. We are all super tired from the stressfull travel delays, so we met up with DH's Brother and family and did a few things with them, and called it a night. We decided to leave before the ELP, but will see that later during the trip.

LOVE the new HM added interactive stuff! Don't really like the new lap bars on Splash, but they aren't too restricting, so although I don't like it, I'm sure that people feel safer and Disney no longer has to worry about any guests doing crazy stuff anymore.

Came back to the room and watched the fireworks from our room.

Off to bed...DHS tomorrow morning, but we are not doing the TSMM crazy rush, plan on getting to the park around 930ish.

Any questions, just ask. I will answer the best I can!

Stephanie

Love to hear all the above. I even sent my friend a link. We'll be right there with 'ya in two more days. After an extremely stressful and sad time we DEFINITELY need this break.

DisneyBride03 - you're welcome!:goodvibes December will be here before you know it.

penlanspice - Cute memory, I'll bet you looked fab for breakfast.;)

Stephanie, glad you've arrived safely and are having a great trip so far! Enjoy your time at the Grand, and how wonderful that the parks are not too busy.:cloud9:

coopersmom - Two more days, yay!:dance3:

I miss the GF so much! Soooooooooooooo for my 2012 trip (which I booked, but booked the Poly) I inquired about GF suites AND......

I am now booked at the Grand!!! My DD6 will have her 8th birthday there :lovestruc

Luckily my CM was a GF lover and knew EVERYTHING about the outer lodge suites, etc. I think I made the right choice. She requested Boca Chica for me, because she said that would be the best location based on what the kids liked about the GF :cloud9:

I am so excited!!!!! My DH wanted to stay at the Poly, so we are going for a weekend VERY SOON! This means my turn to pick

Disneybride03 December is so close :goodvibes It feels like just yesterday the kids were finishing school, and they just went back 2 days ago..

Stephanie Glad you are having a wonderful vacation, we had NO wait when we went either EXCEPT Peter Pan :confused3 And we had a lot of fun in the HM graveyard. Very cool. Enjoy the rest of your stay!!!

coopersmom Safe travels! Enjoy! You must be so excited :woohoo:

KCMike Thank you for another wonderful picture

And a  to all my other friends here that I am leaving out

is the outer building really that bad? should i wait for the main building to open up before switching or doing a split stay?

Do you mean club level? We stayed and Sugarloaf and LOVED it!! I have never stayed in the Main building. But I would stay anywhere in the Grand :lovestruc

A couple of weeks ago when my family and I were visiting the Grand Floridian as we walked out of the M. Mouse Mercantile store one of the Monorail Cast Members was telling everyone going towards there that the Resort Monorail was not working. Anyway it was obviously down for a while because as we left the Grand Floridian and were waiting to leave from their self parking lot, I saw a bus that said it's destinations was the Contemporary, TTC, Grand Floridian and Magic Kingdom, along with it being packed with a lot of guests.

Pas130, of course you miss the GF. It happens to all of us GF lovers, we can't wait to return! That's exciting you were able to book another trip there already. What a wonderful place to celebrate your daughter's 8th birthday next year!

And of course it was good to hear from Stephanie that she is there now and having a good time. Also nice to hear that the construction isn't that unsightly.

Looks like our trip at the end of the month is on, my health has improved and they are holding off chemo until we return. :wizard:

Is it wrong that I'm updating the page every time I walk by the computer hoping for more RPC and park updates from Stephanie even though I have 5 days worth of stuff to do before the trip and less than 2 days left in which to do it?

36 hours and counting until departure ...

EDITED TO ASK: Stephanie, can you let us know if they're still offering free wifi at the Grand club level and if it's available in the main building as well as Sugarloaf?

Can anyone update the construction going on at the Grand???? The loudness any heavy equipment the disruption?????
Thanks,
Tanjiers
