Well, she'd better get really used to it - we are snorkeling with stingrays in Grand Cayman in April!!!!

Now let me tell you a little about Castaway Cay, and my thoughts BEFORE this cruise.

It's a beach. It's Disney's private island. But it's a beach, right?
exactly what I thought... until we got there on our 1st stop (we had a double dip!) and we couldnt wait to hit it again on our last day!

I guess everyone was on a mission to find a spot. Their own spot for which to allow the sand to make it's unnatural invasion.
castaway cay spot hoggers are almost as bad as Carnival chair hots... its mad crazy there


It looked as good as any other spot, and it probably was. But I'm a McSparkleson, and I was not satisfied. So I called Jeff to gather our things (yes, the wave phones work here!) and move over to the jetty. Isn't that was that's called? At the end of the jetty was a bar. Looked like a good spot to me......Thats my girl!


Ally and I found a great spot, nobody around us, with direct access to the Heads Up Bar.....
Her momma taught her right!

Poor guy was trying to lug evreything and find us, while juggling the wave phone, all the while he was sick as a dog, and nobody knew it.
the kids get sick every last day on vacation it kills me

You have your choice of an open slide, or the dark, spooky, enclosed slide. Guess which one I chose?

There was a very sharp rock or something when I landed at the base of the slide. I'm thinking of taking legal action. I'll own Castaway Cay. Wait.... make that Kara's Cay!!!!!

After the slide, we were done out there. The wait was longer than Space Mountain, so I'm thinking DCL will look to build another slide soon.
I see why they do the exit and entrance thing all roped off but its got to take a good portion of the beach up right?

Surprisingly, I don't think PP really takes up much beach space. They kind of do it like a pie shape, angled in toward the beach and wider out at the slide.....

As for Kara's Cay, just bring me a bottle and I'll provide the ice for all of us!!!

Another day closer......

This morning Ally opened the door to let the dog out and she came in and said, "Mama, it's not just chilly outside, it's COLD!" It was about 60 out.... but we are not winter people, so 60 really IS cold to us!!!

Not sure if I will be doing the Pelican Plunge - I can't seem to do a water slide without screaming like a girl - and then surely you just end up with a mouthful of salt water - ugh! I am looking forward to seeing the changes to the island since our last visit though, although I suspect we will be spending a large proportion of our time on Serenity Bay

B) Yes, she gets lots more freckles in the summertime. Also her hair gets the most beautiful white blonde highlights from swimming.

We had a 3 story water slide at our community pool in Florida - it was waaaaaay faster and twistier. It was not uncommon to see adults complaining they hurt their backs after a trip or two down THAT one!

I love your reference to sand in places it shouldn't be! On our cruise in June our DD couldn't wait to get back on the ship-her exact words were "I have sand in places sand should never be!" I did feel bad for her because she looked so funny walking around. For our March cruise we get 2 days at CC. I have no idea how she's going to handle that. Maybe she will choose to spend some time in the kids club on the ship. That gives DH and I more time at Serenity Bay.

Looking forward to hearing about the rest of the cruise, although there isn't much left
