10+pages back I had to catch up on.. & I still have Kara and Els cruise trippy along with like 3 others I need to catch up on and thank god Jen doesnt do pre trippys or i would be in a load of trouble.

K going off of the old noggen since it was way to much to quote.. now member Drea has been enjoying her day off pool side with Rita... everyone say hola Rita! Rita brought a friend by too Mo(jito), so bare with me.

1st thing... you said NO to more Sangria.. why? no seriously why? why would you turn down perfectly good alcohol?

-I feel for the lady in the socks. Yes, there has been more than one occasion that I have been the victim of improper footwear in WDW, so I can sympathize. We saw several ladies in impossible heels this last trip though. Why in the world anyone would want to wear 4 inch spikes to Epcot is beyond me

I agree with you El about the other cruises kids programs. But I think thats our fault for "spoiling" them/us with starting with the best cruiseline 1st, DCL has wrecked our idea of kid friendly expectations for life. But not like thats stopping us....

We walked over to see the band, because it was Davy Jones, and from what I hear, he's a MONKEY!!

Why yes, Davy Jones IS a monkey, but Herman is a Hermit. I'll leave you to contemplate that. Along with Henry VIII.......

Well, I couldn't get close enough to kiss him, but Evie did her best, most uninhibited dancing to try to get his attention-

OK...now THAT was FUNNY!!

We made beeline over to France, and ran into Jen and the fam at the Slushie cart! What a surprise!! Jen likes slushies, too! Then went to visit the store, where we purchased our own personal taste test (well, Lonnie, Evie & I did, anyway) to compare the two fine champagnes (pronounced Sham-pan-yas) they offered. We were happy to see our favorite Frenchie again-

OMG, this was the BEST thing- that whole area of France was vacant because Illuminations was going to start soon, and sitting there, sipping fine sham-pan-yas in the moonlight, at a table at a pretend cafe....it really felt like we were in France! It was sooooo nice!

Well, we had seen Illuminations the night before, so we were all perfectly happy in our little corner of Paris. We actually stayed there for quite a while after the fireworks ended- the park was closed, but we could still sit there and enjoy the ambience of deserted Pareeee...

And besides, Joan still had to give birth to a Vera Bradley purse-

Eventually, it was time to go- although we really could have stayed longer if we had wanted to- no one was kicking us out.

We all LOVED walking out so late, having the park to ourselves- C'est Magnifique!

Up next...the shenanigans continue! Seriously!! There is still MORE to come!!

I absolutely LOVED hanging in France while everyone else was fighting the masses to get out of Epcot. I do think they got a bit concerned when we started hiding behind bushes, and trying to find someplace that we could stay forever!!!

OMG, I am SERIOUSLY never drinking again!!! (at least when you have a camera pointed at me!). What WAS I trying to say?
Maybe I was describing the BIG BEER?
Me thinks it's time to invest in some curly straws and sit demurely in the corner drinking chocolate milk with Kara!

Hey everyone! I have been reallly, REALLY busy since school started between Sean's nonsense and PTA, so I haven't had time to post- but, I have to say....

OMG!!! I KNEW Davy Jones wasn't right, but I couln't think of who else it could be!! Henry the VIII I definitely am NOT!!! OFF WITH MY HEAD!! I feel like I'm writing fiction now, lol!

Sorry for not having a clue- but I'm pretty sure everything else was true! Hopefully, I will be back soon to update our semi-accurate accounting of the latest DISmom trip!

Stopped by Target today to buy a can of mixed nuts and saw "Blue Diamond Almonds with Wasabi & Soy Sauce". They were on sale so I had to buy them. Yummmm, they go every well with red wine.

YUMMMM....I love anything with Wasabi...

Life in our neck of the woods has settled down and I now am caught up the the DISmoms report. What a trip!

Kara, thank you for letting me know how DISmoms began. I think Jeff is right, you could end up on 20/20 with all the other DISmoms right beside you.


Update on Sarah's mishap with her brand new retainer, her doctor was able to trim off the melted part. It appears to have worked. The gap between her front teeth has disappeared again. The doc said he thought this was the only area where the teeth were shifting. We go back next week for a checkup but for now all seems to be ok. Thanks everyone for your stress reducing words.

Ellen, you know I'm a HUGE fan of hanging out in World Showcase after Illuminations! They really don't kick you out! We stayed so long once, by the time we made it to the bus stop, they just asked us where we were going and put us on the next bus and we were the only ones. It is so great to watch everyone rush out and just sit and listen to the music and relax!

Yea....and you'll be doing it again in just a couple of weeks!! You really stayed a loooooong time- we were probably about an hour- even that was wonderful. It is so beautiful at night when you have it all to yourself!

BTW, I have the same shirt AND bag that Joan had that day! But it looks like it took her much to long to drink that beer!

Nope!! You're good- I'm the one losing MY mind!! The thing that's weird is, I was REALLY REALLY psyched we got to hear Henry the VIII- I LOVE that song- I used to dance to it in my crib (according to my cousin).

It was all pretty amusing, if ya ask me- don't forget about Evie and her dance- and that won't be the last time we see that behavior on this trip!!

After we leisurely left Epcot, in all its nighttime solitude and glory, we walked back to BWV...which doesn't suck, either-

Ok, well, that's not all the BW, but it IS what you see on the way. The moon was breaking through the clouds-

Hmmm....hope those clouds are gone by the morning- we were going to have PRIME viewing of the Space Shuttle on Monday if they did! The fun was everywhere we turned, loads of activity at the BW-

That guy must have just been starting- there is always a big crowd around the entertainers, because they are AWESOME!

Sorry, dude- I left my hoopsters at home. See ya in the fall! Some moms went up to the villa to get- a sweater? Some me time? I forget at this point, but hopefully they will fill us in. I DO know it was chilly, and I was very happy they brought back a sweater for me. The rest of us thought we would go into Big River Grill and hunt down Ship-

But he wasn't working. And the bartender was VERY busy, so after sitting there for 10 minutes, we walked out to sit on the BW instead and wait for the rest of the moms. They were doing something up there over those Big River umbrellas-

When we were all together again, we walked over the bridge to have another drink and appetizer. Ya see, we HAD to go to Blue Zoo. HAD to. It's MANDATORY.

We all sat at the bar and ordered- I personally, along with Kara,HAD TO try the cocktail recommended to us by Tracey (Manntra)- the Serenity-

I found this on the web-Kristin Cooper (is) the creator of Serenity that had won a contest sponsored by the vodka importer for best mixed drink. Serenity was a mix of cucumber vodka, elderflower liquor, strawberry, basil, rosemary, lime, pineapple and just a touch of rock candy syrup.

Here she is when she was serving us our drinks-

That was one CRAZY cocktail!! Really yummy, VERRRRRRRY unique. Very glad I tried it- someone else (Lonnie, I think) had this drink which may have been a Mojito?

I believe there were also some ZOOberries had, but I don't have that pic- too far at the other end of the bar, I guess. And I personally can say that the Zooberry is delicious- I had one the last time, when I was here with Pods and we forgot to bring a credit card and had JUST enough cash to pay the check (although Blue Zoo DOES take TIW, they DON'T take KTTW!).

But the REAL reason we HAD TO come to Blue Zoo? The worshippable scallop appetizer-

No-JOKE! Best appetizer at WDW- Teppan Seared Jumbo Sea Scallops - Served with a braised beef short rib, & silky cauliflower puree. - $14.00

We all agreed this was the BEST! Sooooo different, such an unexpected combo, sooooo delicious! I actually made this over the weekend (we had our annual Seafood gig- so I made enough for 19 adults, and served it family style on a huge platter. I started the day before meking this dish- and it was REALLY worth the time- except I screwed up and got wet scallops- which you can't sear- you need DRY scallops, which I should have gotten when I picked up my sushi tuna at the Westfield Fish Market. ) Here's a link to the recipe in case you have a spare 12 hours....http://www.swandolphin.com/recipeclub/0404.html.
