After two whole years away from Disney we’re finally heading back. As usual we’ll be doing a lot of eating as we have the deluxe dining plan for 15 whole nights, which will mean tons of food porn!

This will be my third dining report on the Dis, and our fifth visit to the world. If you want to read my previous reports you can find them here:

2009 - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2275706
2008 - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1980338

Who are we:

Me: 31 years old, will eat pretty much anything unless it’s spicy. I have a love for cocktails and desserts and can’t wait to indulge in both on this trip! I’m the planner of our trips, and have driven DH mad for the past six months, constantly tweaking our ADRs and resort (I think I've had seven different hotels booked for the last section of this trip!!)

DH: 39 years old. If you’ve read my previous reports you’ll have seen that DH was completely vegetarian, eating no meat or fish. In the past two years he’s started to eat fish occasionally when dining out, so this time it will only be a partly vegetarian report.

Where are we staying:

This is going to be our longest trip yet, from the 8th September until 1st October!!
15 nights at the Beach Club on the DxDDP
5 nights at Royal Pacific Resort, where we’ll spend time at Universal (can’t wait to see Harry Potter), go to Halloween Horror nights, and visit Seaworld for the first time ever.
Finally 3 nights at the Contemporary, where we plan to enjoy the F&W festival and MNSSHP.

I am in! This sounds amazing and I cannot wait to read your reviews. Have a magical and wonderful vacation!!!

This sounds too good to be true! So excited! Now I am going to be anxiously awaiting October!!!!

I am very looking forward to your reviews. I so envy you. I wish we could stay for 2 weeks at a time but have a feeling DS's school will not be happy after a week.

Wow that line up of ADRs is incredible! Hope you have a great trip and can't wait to read the reviews! :goodvibes

No!! Tell him to go all vegetarian!! Trust me, just two years ago I was eating a 10 piece chicken nugget meal at McD amd now I'm a VEGAN!! If he likes seafood, tell him to try the Yves shrimp scampi/one other seafood option too. It is DELICIOUS! He'll never miss the fish!

Thank you!

Wow!! Sounds heavenly. I can't wait to hear all about it. Have a great trip!!

Thanks

Have a great trip!!

Thank you

Thanks. I'm hoping to get a few updates done while we're away so hopefully you won't have to wait until October. I won't have internet access every day (as at Disneys prices it would cost a fortune!), but intend to access it every 3-4 days.

Thank you. Yeah, that's the good bit of having no children yet, at least we don't have to work with a school to get time off! We're actually off work for 4 whole weeks, so I've been saving my leave all year for this!

Thank you. Believe me I've spent the past 6 months constantly changing this line up. Cancelling places, changing my mind and re-booking, asking DH would you rather go to this restaurant or this one? I don't know what I'm going to do when this holiday is over and I don't need to stalk ADRs any more!

Thanks but I think he's good with his decision to eat fish. He's been a full vegetarian for over 16 years, and I think he just wants a change. There's only so many pasta dishes a person can eat in three weeks, and that always seems to be the staple veggie offering!
Congratulations on going vegan. DH would never be able to do that, he loves cheese too much.

Can't wait for pics!

Thank you. I've got my 4GB memory card ready and waiting. Last trip I came home with 300 food pics, and I'm expecting to take even more this year!

Thanks

Good for you living it up! We went to WDW & US for 2 weeks once & so many people thought I was nuts! Some thought I was being excessive. Honestly, we didn't even get to see everything. There was still so much we didn't have time for! The best part is you don't have to rush @ all. Just enjoy! I CAN NOT WAIT to see the review, the line up looks fantastic! Have a great trip!:goodvibes

Love, Love, Love the ADR line up! I can't wait to read (and drool) all about it!

I'm in! I can't wait to see pictures of all the food from these great places. We are going next year and hoping to do DxDP at our favorite places and some new ones. It will be my 18th trip and the kids are excited because all of us will be on the Adult meals (DD super happy to try some of the meals we see on the menus). It's just too bad that we have to wait a year :sad2: But that's one of the reasons I look at dining reviews so I can keep the magic withing reach of my tastebuds...:lmao:

Wow, sounds amazing.

Thank you. I love long trips to the world. It becomes much more relaxing, and even with three weeks we probably won't get to see everything!

And I thought I was doing good pulling 17 days out!!!

Now I'm jealous again!!!!

:worship: :rotfl2: :worship: :rotfl2:

:rotfl:Yeah but you did a whole 17 days on the deluxe plan, we're only doing 15 nights on dxddp and the rest oop (although if DH had his way he would have probably had the plan for the entire 23 nights!)

I am so in for this one...can't wait! :cool1:

We love the Dxdp, it's so nice to enjoy a lunch in the air-conditioning when you've spent the morning running around in the hot sun. And as two adults, we enjoying being able to experience all the signatures. Hope you get to do the plan next year.

Less than a week to go now and I'm so excited!

We actually fly on Tuesday as we're going via Amsterdam so I get to spend Wednesday visiting Amsterdam city centre. I've never been there before and I'm really hoping to see the Anne Frank Museum, as well as take a canal tour.

Therefore only two more days left at work! That's both exciting but also really scary, as I start a new job on promotion when I come back from Disney, so on Monday I will be leaving the department I've worked with for nearly 8 years!
