Our first DVC Stay.

We just got back from the happiest place on earth and our first time using our DVC.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Kidani for the first 3 nights and then Beach Club Villas for 4 nights.

I want to share...

1. I will not change hotels again if I can help it. I thought it took a good chunk of our day changing.

2. I wished that I would have stayed at the Beach first. The rooms in Kadani are huge compared to the Beach. Not that Beach was small, just a shock after staying in Kidani.

3. I really wish they had more "do not feed the ducks" signs around. The DVC pool was closed for the first day of our stay. And we were talking to someone and they said it was closed for a couple of days because there was duck poop in the pool. the pool opened the second day, but there still looked like duck poop on the bottom.

Don't get me wrong, we loved our stay, and can't wait to go back. :goodvibes

Disney has the special 'pixie dust magic' in plentiful supply...maybe just maybe...they should use it to stop the ducks from pooping!!!!:rotfl2:

BTW, glad you had a great first DVC visit. :thumbsup2

Glad you had a great trip. I agree with you about the split stay. We did the same thing on our first DVC trip "home" because we wanted to experience more than one resort. Unless necessary, we would not do it again. It was a huge chunk of lost time.

I agree with you about the room size difference as well. Plus, we really liked the extra bathroom.

Welcome Home!

If you think AKL and BCV rooms are big, wait until you stay at OKW. They are by far the largest in DVC resorts.
