Hi! We planned to take ME from MCO to AKV and made the appropriate arrangements with Member Services. As it turns out, a friend will be in town and wants to pick us up and take us to the resort.

I have two questions:
(1) Do I need to let Member Services or anyone know my plans have changed? Does ME have a list they use to keep track of who is supposed to be there?

(2) Since I'm not taking ME, am I still able to use the luggage tags they sent and have them handle the luggage transport to the resort or will I need to claim my bags?

This is my first encounter with ME as we almost always drive or rent a car.

1 No you do not have to let them know, though it would be a nice thing to do. I do not think they cross check the names as flights and arrival times can change drastically.

2 No, I believe that someone is supposed to be on the bus, though how this can be verified escapes me.

They scan the bar code on your travel voucher as you board the bus.

We've always had tomcheck in for the bus. Either at the desk or with the person at the queue. They've either scanned or taken our tickets. Doesn't ,ean you have to be on it, but they certainly knew if we were.

i'd call and ask. with the luggage thing you want to be 110% sure!!!!! that would not be a nice way to start your trip if they arent picking up you luggage!!

I think it would be a good idea to let ME know you won't be there so they can plan.

As far as luggage, when I inquired, they said that we needed to ride the bus in order to take advantage of that part of the deal.

During one of our trips, we were scheduled to take ME to our resort and changed our plans at the last minute. I thought my DH had canceled our reservations, and he thought I did.

They ended up calling and leaving several messages checking on us (making sure we had arrived) while we were in the park that night.
