Buying a resale when already a member?

Do I need to do anything special to make sure that a resale purchase is combined with my current membership? I am buying a resale with the same use year.

Make sure your resale contract is titled EXACTLY the same as the original. If there is more than one owner, be sure that even the order is the same.

Make sure both the broker and the closing company know you want the resale to be added to your master contract. I'd do that in writing.

We also wrote our current member information (ID#) on our documents to help ensure that they'd link them correctly.

include a note to that affect with your docs. the staff is surprisingly good at linking. do make sure the names are exactly the same though
