Breakfast or lunch at Kona on last day?

DH and I have only eaten at Kona for dinner a couple of times and it was great both times! I am thinking about trying breakfast or lunch there on our last day during our November trip. We are staying at WL and Magical Express will pick us up for our flight home around 3:00 p.m. I am looking for this to be a relaxed day and thought since we are so close to MK, that we might venture there for just a few hours for one last look at Main Street and the castle. We could either eat breakfast around 9:30-10:00 a.m. that morning and then go to MK for a little while, or we could go to MK that morning and end our day with lunch at Kona around 12-1:00 p.m. Which sounds like the better choice? I know the Tonga Toast at breakfast gets rave reviews and I like the sound of the Kona pressed pot of coffee (love a good cup of coffee!). That said, we are big fans of the Banana Chocolate Creme Brulee and we could get that at lunch. This is a tough one - which one should we choose?:confused3

That would be easy for us:
It is a family tradition to do Kona Cafe on our last morning at WDW. And just for the reasons you listed!

Either way- you could go down to the FC and get a Dole Whip!

Sounds like a good tradition!:thumbsup2

This is probably a stupid question - I know what a Dole Whip is, but was is "FC?"

Can anyone tell me if you can get the banana chocolate creme brulee from the dessert case at Kona?

We love b-fast at Kona -- and we set our reservation for a late b-fast. Serves as more of a brunch.

Thats a tough one as we love both meals there...I would grab breakfast at RF or MSB in MK, tour MK for a bit and then grab lunch at Kona...the place is so empty, nice and quiet and relaxing

Thanks everyone for your replies. :goodvibesI think we may be leaning more toward breakfast. I have no doubt that we would enjoy lunch there as well, but we have three dinners and one lunch already booked, so this would be our only breakfast. This will be our only OOP meal, too, and I suspect breakfast will be a little cheaper than lunch.

My only regret about not doing lunch is missing out on the chocolate banana creme brulee. Maybe it will be available in the dessert case and we can get one to enjoy later!;)

By dessert case you mean Kona Island then no, the creme brulee is not available there. Its only at the Kona Cafe and served from noon on.

I guess that's what I mean, but I thought it was located within the restaurant - around where you check in or somewhere as you pass by on the way to your table. I'm having trouble remembering . . .

We have an ADR for Kona breakfast on our last day this September. It is one of DH's favorite breakfasts.

We have bkfst set for our last day as well 730am then hit the park! Flight is at 6pm so thought this would be the best idea and looks like it is a popular idea too.

14 days,can't wait!!
