-I remember lots of people not liking Kouzzina before it closed down and re-opened. Anyone been there recently?

-Are they both on the DDXP?

-Would you pick either?

Kouzzina is on the Dining Plan (regular and Deluxe). Can't speak about dinner here but they have a fabulous breakfast.

Rainforest Cafe is not on either Dining Plan, not sure about the Platinum or Premium.

Since your dining plan question has already been answered, I'll move on to the second part.

Kouzzina is pretty awesome for both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast definitely has some Mediterranean influence, but there's plenty to it that is more traditional, of that's what you'd like. They also serve a very good Bloody Mary. Dinner leans much more towards ethnic Greek, and it's delicious. They do a great job here all around. It can get quite noisy, though, so prepare yourself for that.

Rainforest Cafe is a place I'd only eat for breakfast (which you can only do at the Animal Kingdom location, by the way). They actually do a pretty excellent breakfast menu, and the restaurant seems significantly more laid back in the early hours. It makes the meal much more enjoyable than I imagine it would be any other time of the day, when it looks like a mob scene, and frankly, the lunch and dinner menus just do not appeal to us.

All they did when they closed Kouzzina down was put Cat Cora's picture up in more places. Didn't change the menu. And I've always liked it. I don't do Rainforest Cafe. It's mostly interesting to families with children and there is no way I'd go there for the food. I have been to the bar before (they did a pretty cool bloody mary with potato chips), but never to sit and eat in the restaurant.

I went to Cat Cora's place in December for breakfast. It was ok but our service wasn't the best. I wouldn't pick there to go for my first choice.

Rainforest cafe is good, I love the atmosphere, and I do not think it is on the dining plan. However, my girlfriend is doing the College Program and she said their server asked if they were on the Dining Plan. So I don't know if they were asking to avoid embarrassment later in the meal.

They are both good and you can't go wrong with either if you are looking for an interesting meal.

Not sure if you have been there lately but they have changed some of the menu. We went at christmas time and there were new items along with bread and olive oil tasting they give you before you eat...we love Kouzzina by the way

I wonder about Rainforest Cafe myself, we had booked a reservation there before free dining came out for our trip in October. The kids always enjoy the experience and as long as you have a reservation its not too bad a wait.

When doing a search for reservations it does come up as dining plan accepted. I think I will give them a call to confirm as we will need to make a change otherwise.

First time I EVER noticed that olive oil has a taste, and that the taste is somewhat good. I was amazed! (always sort of thought that the people who said olive oil has a taste were off their rockers, really)

In case you ever do, the pita quesadillas are scrumptious! I get them without chicken, but they are probably good with it, too.

RFC only takes the Premium and Platinum Dining Plans, NOT the DDP or the DxDP.

RFC does not take the dining plans - just the premium and platinum. And yes, they ask if you are on it, so they can tell you before you order anything that they don't take it.

And it would have to be a really good quesadilla for me to want to sit in there with the electronic critters.

Kouzzina is wonderful, the whole roasted fish is to die for. Yummy apps and desserts too. We have had over the top service both times, and it was a must do for our trip next month.

NOTE: The food, although named "Greek" resembled Greek in
name only. Very, very Americanized. My $32-steak was dry and her
$27-lamb was overcooked. Both had to be sent back to the kitchen.
The daughter had the sampler. Pretty small, 6-7 bites for the three
items. Poor room design makes for terrible acoustics, making it
one of the noisiest eateries in WDW - worse than Chef Mickey’s on
a bad day. As many people have offered, the service is VERY
spotty. We waited 19-minutes to see the waiter AFTER being
seated (5:54pm-6:13pm). Family bought me one of the a 6" podium
Sara Lee frozen birthday cakes - surprisingly it was quite yummy!

(I guess when you get to be a famous chef, you don't care about your
restaurant, as long as the bucks flow in - or it seems that way.)

Wow that is a pretty harsh review. We have had the steak multiple times and it has always been cooked exactly like we asked (and that was the old flank steak and the newer one) My husband who is 6'3" and 250lbs had the sampler and while he could have used a little more for someone his size it wasnt a bad amount of food.

We have been there 2 times now, once with the new menu and had great service both times and our food was hot and really good

Oh and he is Greek and thought the food was very good.

I went to Kouzzina in May 2011, had the fishermen stew and licked the bowl clean! Also, I drank a ouzzo-tine a nd loved it so no complaints for us...
