Hi,

Almost time to make my ADRs, and I am trying to figure out where to make the last one. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge, and I'd like something close to the parks (but not in since we won't have park hopper and I want flexibility in which parks we go to which days). So far I have one dinner at Whispering Canyon (Wilderness Lodge), a character dinner at Chef Mickeys (Contemporary), Spirit of Aloha (Polynesian, uses 2 credits), and we'll have one character dinner at Garden Grove in Epcot. I'm planning on one day in Epcot, 2 in MK and 2 in AK. I'm debating between 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian) and Boma (at AK) so if you have any opinion either way or other suggestions, that would be great!

We'll be travelling with a 2 yo and 4 yo, plus my inlaws, hence wanting to avoid too much travelling between a park and a place to eat. I'm not entirely sure what day we'll be where since we have some off site plans as well- won't have a schedule for that until early January.

Thanks,
Kelly

If you will be spending a day at AK then I really, really, recommend a trip over to the AKL for dinner at Boma. It's not a character meal, but for me the chance to spend a little time wandering around Jambo House and the outside areas are a special treat all its own. And we think it's the best buffet on property.

I vote for Boma. The food is great and there's plenty of variety. The resort is beautiful and if you time it right, you may be there in time for storytelling at the firepit. They also have night vision goggles you can wear to see the animals after dark.

I'd spend the day at Animal Kingdom then catch the AKL resort bus over and dine at Boma. We had a nice meal there and reallay enjoyed the hotel itself. It was really beautiful but for as large and impressive as it was, it was also very cozy and like I was at home. There are lots of viewing areas to watch the animals and very comfortable seating should you feel like staying a while.

Don't forget to get the gift certificate for Garden Grove at Restaurant.com. It's a 25 dollar certificate and during their 80% off sales you can get it for $2! Have a great trip.

Don't confuse Garden Grill (the family style restaurant at Epcot), with Garden Grove (restaurant at the Swan)

Just a matter of opinion but I prefer the buffet at Tusker House at Animal Kingdom over Boma.

Boma is good if you want a meal after going to AK. The food is good and there is a large selection is good. Over in the MK area we like Kona Cafe and Grand Floridian Cafe. I haven't done 1900PF for dinner in about 11 years so I can't really say much about that.the kids may like the antics at Ohana but if you are going to the luau you may not want to do that one.
