I was told I need to have an address ready for customs/security at the airport in case they ask for it - is the general Disney address enough or do I need the address of the particular Disney resort?
Thanks so much!!!!:flower3:

You actually have to write it in on the customs declaration form. Just do a web search for the address of your hotel.

Got the form in front of me now and it says that you can give hotel name/destination. We have alway just put Disney's Polynesian Resort/Walt Disney World and have had no trouble.

This is what we do also. Don't know why they tell you to provide it online and then you still have to fill out the form at the airport anyways! :confused3

I've never put an actual address, just hotel name, walt disney world resort, orlando, florida..... they know how to find it if they need to, it's the place with lots of giant mice running around lol.

It's not really for customs at the airport but for your airline to have an address to deliver your luggage to should it get lost along the way.

No, it's called the Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS), the information is transmitted to the US Department of Homeland Security prior to your flight for pre-screening.

Plus, you also need to enter the address on your customs declaration card, although they're generally pretty lenient with what you put there (Sheraton Hotel, Orlando FL would likely be sufficient if you were staying at a Sheraton)

If the airline loses your luggage, they'll ask you for your local address when you make a claim at the arriving airport. They do not use the APIS information for that.

True, but there is also the US customs form that you have to make out at the airport and hand to the US customs agent. That's the one I was referring to and my read of the OP is that's what they were referring to as well.

I'd like to add in that I've never had a problem with just putting my hotel name in. In fact, on the last time I traveled, I panicked about not knowing Pop Century's address, and the clerk just told me to write the hotel name down.
