Hi - I need some handholding on how to use a Photopass. We joined up with a share on FB for August & I just do not understand how it works.

Thanks!:surfweb:

I thought DIS wasn't allowing shares to be organized here??? :confused3

That being said, the leader of your group would probably be able to help. I don't want to get in trouble for talking about something I'm not sure they allow.....Yeah, I'm a chicken!! Bak bak bak!! (I have no idea how to spell a chicken sound....bawk? baaack?? Hmmm...) LOL!

Dis doesn't which is why I said FB (facebook).

The leader did explain, I still don't understand it though.

Can't imagine why explaining how Photopass works would get you into trouble. I didn't ask how a "share" works, just how Photopass itself works.

Lastly I asked for handholding, why bothering posting here unless you have some help to offer. Sounds to me like you just want to start trouble.

Sorry I was watching my bottom!!! Sheesh!!

You get a plastic credit card sized card from a photographer at any parks, then just keep that card with you and you can have your picture taken by any of the Fast pass photographers around the parks. They will scan your card, take your pictures, then give your card back. Lots of people will take a digital photo of the numbers on the back of the card in case they lose them, then the photopass people can retrieve them for you. If you forget your card in your room, you can get another from any Photopass photographer. You'll enter your photopass numbers when you get home on the Photopass system using the information your FB group provided.

And no, I don't "Start trouble". If anything, I was tryign to save you from trouble. If you read any of my past posts, you'll see that I am not mean, angry, out to get someone, or anything of the sort. I love everyone!! :) Peace to you and yours, and I hope you have a fantastic trip!!!

Thank you very much. I think I understand it a bit better now.

So I can reuse the same photopass card for the entire trip? Can each member of my family have a different photopass card if we are not together & they would like their picture taken? Do I just walk up to a Photopass photographer & ask them to take my picture.

Great tip regarding the digital camera, so if I lose a pass all I need are the #'s to access them when I get home?

Yes, you can use one. We usually end up with about 10!! Each member can have their own card. You just enter them all in at the same time at home. Yes, you walk up to them, ask for a picture, and say cheese. Yes, if you take a pic with your camera or write the numbers down, you'll be able to enter those numbers at home.

Thank you both very much, now I understand MUCH better.

After all our trips this is the 1st time we are going to do this. Can't wait!

Not on a "how to use" but be sure you ask about magical shots when you have them made to get the most out of your money and have LOTS of photos taken!

We had pictures with Stitch, Tink, Captain Hook, wings, balloons and other things taken that were great!

Also write down your card numbers just in case you loose your cards so you still can get your photos!

Most important thing, when you get home you enter your photopass card(s) on your leader's account. Do not set up your own account on the Photopass website! Everybody's cards from the share must be entered on one account. Your leader will send you the account log-on and password once everyone is paid and can start uploading & editing pictures.

I can't stress enough what a PP said, write down your photopass numbers! Enter them in your phone! Take a pic of them! In my last share someone lost her card, found it a few days after we ordered the CD. If she kept track of the number, she could have accessed her pictures and they would have been on the CD. I always punch a hole in my photopass card and put it on a lanyard, I hate taking it in and out of my bag.

Thank you both for those great ideas.

Since DD will still not go near Characters (& she is turning 13 this trip!) that would be a great way to have her in a picture with them w/o the trama of actually standing with them/

The hole in the card to put on a lanyard idea is wonderful. Knowing me I would get sick of pulling it out of my bag, putting it in my pocket instead & them losing it.

I will definitely text the # to myself, write it down & take a picture.

Can't wait!
