Hi all

We will be flying into Orlando and then boarding the cruise
Are we allowed to pack a case of bottled water , juice boxes and some snacks for the trip??
I do understand that all alcohol must be brought in a carry on soft sided cooler
Thanks in advance

Also I see that some have chosen to mail a box ahead to the ship and that you are unable to pack perishables
What do you put in that box to mail??
Thanks

ALL drinks (alcohol, sodas, water, whatever) must be carried on. DCL requests that you do not put drinks in your checked bags.

The drinks don't necessarily need to be in a soft-sided cooler, just in a bag of some sort. If you are bringing a cooler, it must be soft-sided and small enough to fit through the security scanner.

Some people will mail thier Fish Extender gifts (no food). Others pack extra clothes or supplies that they will use on the ship, especially if they are doing something ahead of time (pre-cruise).

For what it's worth, on one DCL cruise, a porter saw my case of water and asked if I wanted him to port it with my luggage. I was really surprised that he could do that! Sure enough, he did and it was in my room later. But that was at least 2 to 4 years ago.

The porters work for the port, not DCL. They will tag anything for delivery to your room. They only take your bags and deliver it to the ships crew for handling.

DCL is the one requesting not drinks in checked luggage. And, if you've seen how the luggage is handled/stacked prior to your receiving it in your room, you would understand the request.

I can appreciate that. Much like I can appreciate how much goes into feeding a few thousand passengers seamlessly every night on the ship - after taking the galley tour, I am careful not to have any special requests (such as "hold the tomato") unless it's absolutely necessary. popcorn::
