Does anyone out there have the shopping maps that DCL has for St. Maartin and St. Thomas?

I'd like to do a little advanced planning!

So tell me - since you have been on that itinerary before and have the maps (therefore I am assuming you did some shopping)...

Any shopping advice?

Also did you feel pretty safe walking around?

I can recommend Majesty Jewelers in St. Maarten. I've bought two watches there and my wife bought two necklaces (one gold and one diamond). The watches were about 10-15% cheaper than here in the states and the diamond necklace appraised for significantly more than we paid for it (@ $1,000.00). All of the items are over 3 years old now and have proven to be of high quality. It's smaller than the giants like DI, but family owned and very friendly.

As far as staying safe, as long as you stay in the main areas of St. Maarten, you'll be fine. But it is possible to stray too far and into some somewhat rough looking areas.
