Dream Deck 5 Aft? Convenient? Quiet?

I was looking at deck plans and trying to figure out if the cabin we selected (because we thought it might be quieter and have less traffic) will be at all convenient.

We're on Deck 5 aft -- 5156. Looks like when we board there's no good way to "get there from here". That caused me to wonder how convenient that location will be for the duration of the cruise. Not that there's anything I can do about it now. The ship is full from what I understand, but if anyone has any thoughts about that location on the ship i'd love to hear!

I was worried too but reports are that the deck plans dont show the true layout of deck 5. They say you can walk all the way from end to end (on your side) even if it doesnt look like that on the maps. Maybe someone with experience will verify.

I've read that some aft cabins on deck 5 are very noisy due to Evolution below.

Just remember that the kids clubs are on deck 5. Not a big deal but there was heavier traffic from the deck 5 aft elevators to the kids club.

Ok, not what you are gonna want to hear, but here goes. Deck 5 aft. Never again. Noise from the night club was awful. But my ship was full too. They did give me and my inlaws cabin both a $100 extra OBC for the noise, but I had rather had my sleep. Bring some fans, earplugs, ect. Lesson learned.

Yes, it is just a winding hallway with a few turns in it. We always took the stairs from our room on deck 7 aft to deck 5 aft. It's not too far a walk to the kids club.

I was in 5162 which is only a few away from you and loved it! Very close to elevators but not to noisy. I never heard anything from the night club below.
And you can walk from the aft elevators to the kids clubs.
I would book this cabin again!!

A few feet can apparently make a difference!
5162 is on the Port side and really more above Skyline than Evolution.

5678 is Starboard side, directly above Evolution.

I'm sailing next week in 5676 and am prepared to stay up late if the noise is as bad as reported - might as well join in

We were also on Deck 5 Aft (5650) and loved it. You can only get to mid-ship & forward on the port side, but that was never a big deal for us (even though we were on the starboard side). We also heard no nightclub noise, so the exact location of your room makes all the difference. We also found the location to be very convenient for everything...quick ride up the elevators for Cabanas or the pools, easy access to all of the indoor activities, restaurants and services (guest services, port excursions, future cruise desk). I would definitely stay in my room again.

Oh no! We booked 5678. She was going to put us deck 6 but I asked if we could be on 5 because I assumed it would be in better proximity to the kids club. Now I'm a little confused. So, are you saying we WILL be able to access the kids club from this area? I guess I should have researched this a little better.

Ya, you can get to the kids clubs no problem, deck 5 aft port or starboard. Wait, maybe not port, I'm not really sure. But starboard is a go for sure.

We were in 5056 and LOVED it. Would book again in a heartbeat.

We had 5130 and 5132. There was only one night I heard noise - I think the night they played POTC 4. It was wonderful, convenient and would definitely book again!
