Any one know any creative ways to save on Spa services aboard the Magic? example: When we visit WDW we buy discounted Gift Cards for Swan/Dolphin Spa.

There is usually a daily special in the navigator good for that particular day. That's the only saving I've heard of.

me too. I do know that they run different specials in the navigators plus on the first day you can enter a drawing for stuff. :thumbsup2 One of the bingo days had spa services to win too.

I believe the onboard spa service is contracted out to Steiner. I am not aware of any discounts for that company, but, during a cruise there will be various spa specials advertised in the daily Personal Navigator.
Generally speaking, spa services on a ship are more expensive than comparable services on land. There are some unique packages like the Time for One package (which can be done for either a facial or a massage) that are well worthwhile--but these packages can be fairly pricy.

So if you reserve a spa treatment online, and then they offer a discount, are you eligible for that discount, or no? For instance, I want to do the Exotic Rasul on a port day. Should I cancel my online reservation and just take my chances on the ship? What are the chances that things will fill up?

I have only been on 2 cruises, but I haven't seen discounts for the Exotic Rasul. Most of the specials are like, a 25 minute massage and a 25 minute facial for $99. 20-20-20, pick 3 20 minute treatments for $119.

Look at navigators for the cruise that you are going on. The specials are listed there.

Looking at the Exotic Rasul as well...

I agree with the PP - the daily specials are usually some kind of combo of massage, facial, etc. The higher-end offerings were not on the daily specials.

Go on the spa tour the first afternoon - they do a giveaway of 3-4 different treatments.

If they have a "Match Your Mate" game, try to get picked. ;) On our cruise, all 3 couples ended up with a GC to the spa.

Seriously, the specials in the navagators that has already been mentioned is the only other thing I can think of.

Ooooh.....love this!
:cool1:
I forgot aout spa gift cards! Do you mean th ones they sell at Costco?
Do they work for products or just treatments?

ETA......Just called spa finder and gift cards are not valid on board THE DISNEY SHIPS.
but I am going to still look for them for the spa at the Swan.
Where do you find discount cards?
Costco here in Canada isn't selling them anymore.
Our pharmacies have them, but for regular price.....

Last year I used a coupon code on their website for 15% off and double dipped with cashback site like fatwallet or ebates.

We won the game and got a GC. I was looking forward to a facial or a massage because thats what they kept saying during the game. Instead our GC was a one day pass to the Rainforest room. We were grateful but were expecting something different. Anyway, dont count on the game as your discount ticket to the spa. :goodvibes

We did it twice on our 7-day cruise. It was wonderful. There were no specials on the rassule that week, nor did I ever see any on the many, many navigators I've seen online. Still, it's a decent price, especially considering it's for two people.

So it is, FOR SURE, for two people?! When I booked it online, you can only put one name. And NOWHERE in the description does it say that it's for two people. But, you are SURE that it is?! If it's not, no biggie. I'm sure FH will just find something else to do during that time. But if it IS for two people, I'll make sure that he doesn't "go to the drink station" :rolleyes1 right around that time or something.

Exotic Rasul is MOST DEFINITELY for a couple!!!! Even though you only put one name, it is a romantic, fun couples thing!!
We got some discounts on our spa stuff by being frequent patrons - (5 spa treatments on a 7 day cruise). I worked out at the gym every morning & used the spa sauna & showers daily. Got to know the staff fairly well & we always brought gifts & snacks for our spa friends (bottled water, sodas, chips, m&m's, cookies, pretzels - YES we packed them specifically to give to the staff & they LOVED it!!). We received discounts on all spa services that we booked after the first one (made the reservations in person, at the spa, rather than online), were allowed to use the Rainforest Room two days without purchasing the pass, & got a bit of extra time on our last Cabana Massage (which we had Palo desserts packed and brought with us for the tea ceremony portion!!! JUST AWESOME!!).
