On our cruise, FH and I will be celebrating our honeymoon and neither of us are especially morning people to begin with. But, we're also both the type that doesn't like to miss anything, so we might be getting up earlier than normal just on that count. But what time do things start happening in the mornings? What time does breakfast start and end? What time do the earliest activities (say alcohol tastings, etc...) start happening? TIA for the information. :goodvibes

Let's see...."morning" officially begins right after midnight....:lmao:

Seriously, I am not totally sure as I'm so not an early morning person. I THINK some things like Yoga are rather early.

Those who are knowledgeable about the times on the clock that I don't admit even exists will probably soon be here to tell all!

I have a Navigator from our recent 5-night Dream in front of me. The master schedule starts at 7:30, mainly with exercise-type stuff. Character M&Gs around 9. Cabanas starts serving breakfast at 7, the sit-downs at 8. The first alcohol tasting (champagne) this particular day is not until 1.

Thank you. :goodvibes So basically, if we don't get up until about 9, we really won't be missing anything, right? What time do the stateroom hosts come to spruce up the rooms? I don't want to interfere with their schedules either.

We are not morning people. On non-port days we were not up and about until after 10am each day (maybe later). We hung a DnD sign on our door at night and never had any issue at all with our stateroom host.

HTH,

OK, that sounds good. :)

One of the port days, we've got an excursion at 8 something in the morning. Yeah, that'll be quite the interesting day. I hope FH likes "grumpy girl." :rotfl:

On a morning "at sea" after a busy day in port, we often get moving around the crack of noon. And yes, those Do Not Disturb signs are very handy.

Ah, that would be the day I ran through BB, grabbed a breakfast burrito to go and a cup of OJ as I dashed up to the meeting area for our excursion (eating breakfast while they finished final check-in procedures). :rotfl:

Yeah... I somehow doubt I'll even be THAT on top of it. Breakfast? Not likely. popcorn::

Just let your stateroom host know what time you want them to come around. They will not disturb you if they know of your plans. Plus, using the DnD and it is just like in the resorts, if it is out they are not even allowed to knock on the door.

Yeah, that is pretty early in the morning, but...

24 hour FREE room service + FH already on Pacific Time working mornings (super-motivated by the prospect of FREE pizza for breakfast) = Guaranteed breakfast (not pizza, I assume) waiting for you when you wake up :)

Honey, you're MUCH more of a morning person than I am. It disgusts me sometimes. ;) And pizza for breakfast??? REALLY??? :headache: Thank you for offering to get me (non-pizza) breakfast that morning so I don't have to get up any earlier than I have to. So sweet! :lovestruc

Yeah, I guess I am one of those lucky people who gets to be a night owl and a morning person. Ok...pizza for breakfast sounds crazy, right? Break it down:

Sausage...very common breakfast food.
Bacon...born for breakfast, even the Canadian version.
Cheese...very commonly for breakfast (i.e. breakfast burritos, sausage biscuits, etc.)
Bread...Used commonly for toast, English muffins etc.
Now...what's missing? People frequently have some type of fruit with their breakfast (i.e. banana:banana:, strawberries, blueberries) Since I am gunning for a more balanced diet and no other fruit compliments this particular combination...we have the tomato. It should be noted that tomatoes are not completely foreign to breakfast (i.e. sun dried tomatoes)

Essentially, what I am doing is putting together a very sophisticated composite breakfast together while ensuring that I don't get hungry until noon (pastries and tea for lunch, I believe)

And I am always happy to use my cheerful morning spirit to make life easier on you :)

I have had many a breakfast of a cold slice of pizza and a glass of milk!!!

I have the opposite problem...no matter what time I go to bed...be it 9:00 pm or 2:00 am...I am up at 7:00ish. My body just wakes up...never use an alarm clock....can't sleep later even if I tried.

They have those cards that you hang outside your room with what you want for breakfast and what time you want it delivered.

I will be very interested to see if this gentlemanly behavior continues on our second cruise together - i.e. our 1 year anniversary cruise next year. :rotfl:

I tried cold pizza for breakfast once in high school. DEFINITELY not my thing.

And that's a REALLY nice feature they've got with the card saying what you want for breakfast and when! That might come in pretty handy!

Room service is also a great way to make sure you are woke up in time to eat and make it to your meeting spot on time also.:thumbsup2 You can have it arrive at any time you want.

You know it will :) And don't expect me to be eating tons of pizza and go back to my "old unhealthy ways" either. I see this as a once (ok...twice) in a lifetime opportunity to have pizza delivered whenever I want ;)

Ahh, just the encouragement I needed

Thanks for letting us know about that. It will be really useful :)

Speaking of pizza for breakfast........cake is also a great breakfast option. Lets take a look:

Flour (also found in items like bread and bagels)
Milk....who can have breakfast without milk. You can also add more calcium by drinking a glass of milk WITH your cake :thumbsup2
Eggs....awww the incredible, edible egg. It has breakfast written alllll over it.

So, if you not inclined to eat pizza for breakfast you can always have the cake of the day delivered the night before with milk and enjoy a nice breakfast option.
