Planning Our Happily Ever After - A Disneymoon PTR! (NEW 7/13 - TR Link!)

All caught up! I am in LOVE with your dress! You looked absolutely stunning. I'm pretty sure that I would have been freaking out if my dad was taking over lacing up my dress! Good for you for remaining calm :)

CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE! Love this!!!

Welcome home and congratulations!

Wow the St. Regis is beautiful and that suite is lovely. I love all the detail pictures your photographer took. Sorry about the dress drama but if that was the only snag then you are very lucky. You look absolutely stunning and your MOH's as well as mother and grandmother look beautiful as well.

I can't wait to hear more about your wedding day!

Hello, Hello! New reader here, I followed you over from mine. You were such a stunning bride! and that beautiful hair!!!! OMG, I am a very envious girl here! I can wait to read your honeymoon TR and the rest of your wedding day! Congratz :)

Long time lurker here! I just wanted to say you looked beautiful and I can't wait to read more!

The only thing i have to say is that you looked beautiful. I can't wait to see everything and how the venue turned out! you're dress was amazing and that picture of you sitting in the chair before you left was stunning. The light made it look so fairy tale like. So excited for your next update!

Thank you so much! The hotel was a great place for photos. One of the reasons that I picked the room we had was because it matched our colors. :lmao:

Omg so behind!!! But all caught up.. I was anxiously awaiting your return to read about all your exciting adventures!! Glad to see your back and hD great trip!!!

Thank you so much! :goodvibes

As I have said before, snafu's happen, but I am glad that it was a minor one that could be fixed rather quickly.

I also made sure I ate protein and carbs on the morning of my wedding day and I had a granola-ish bar before walking down the isle (I have a tendency to faint sometimes; don't know why, it just happens!)

On another note::
YOU LOOKED GORGEOUS!!!!! That dress looked stunning on you!!!

I can see the vision you have of your wedding coming together with the colors of the girls dresses as well :) I can not wait for the other posts about the wedding! I just know it will all be beautiful and wonderful :)

Thank you so much! :goodvibes

I definitely feel lucky that the minor dress incident was the only one! I have heard about far worse things happening!

I loved how all of the ladies dresses complimented each other so nicely. :thumbsup2

Congratulations, Courtney! I've been anticipating your arrival back to the boards, and darn if I didn't miss it!

You were absolutely beautiful!! I'm glad that everything went so smoothly. I have to say that I admire all your organization and planning!

I'm enjoying every minute of this, and can't wait for more!

Thank you so much! I am so glad that you are enjoying the wedding report! :goodvibes The organization paid off even more than I expected. I think that was the reason I was so calm!

First, you looked beautiful!!!!!!!!!!! :bride:

Second, I can't believe how much you ate! My nerves were so high I could barely get down toast & ginger ale! :rotfl: That whole center-of-attention thing got the best of me!

I can't wait to hear more! :goodvibes

Thank you! I am surprised I ate that much, too since I have such a nervous stomach. But I was so strange the whole day - I wasn't nervous at all. :thumbsup2

Wow! It's only the getting ready pictures, and already everything looks gorgeous!

Thank you, Mel! :goodvibes

Well hey there stranger =) I know I've been MIA for the LONGEST TIME EVER (okay, 6 months, but still - UNACCEPTABLE). THE WEDDING - PRE-CEREMONY PHOTOS

When I last left off, my girls and I had made it to our venue and we were marveling over all of the work that the florist and my day of coordinator had accomplished so far. While we were in the pre-function area, someone snapped this photo of us. I don't remember who, but I really like it! I think we had just received our bouquets at this point!

After a few quick sneak peaks, my DOC led us outside where Janet snapped some pictures of us, me by myself, and my with my parents.

I absolutely loved our flowers. My florist did an amazing job of creating exactly what I had envisioned in my mind!

During this time, the car had left us and went over to the Four Seasons to pick up the guys, so we were on a very strict time frame to get the pictures done and get inside so that there was no chance of Miguel and I seeing each other. The driver was supposed to call my DOC when he was 10 minutes away, but he ended up calling at about 2 minutes away and my DOC ran outside and ushered us all inside right in time! Crisis averted!

My DOC’s assistant Capri took me and my MOH’s down to the bride’s room while Janet and Courtney continued their photo session – this time with the guys!

I just love this picture of Miguel!

The time that I spent down in the bride’s room was so surreal. It was so quiet and peaceful down there – kind of like the calm before the storm. While we were still upstairs taking pictures, I could tell that many of my family members were expecting to come down to the room to wait as well. Like I mentioned before though, they all had so much nervous energy that I didn’t want rubbing off on me, so I asked if my grandmother could spread the word that I wanted it to be just me and my MOH’s. She did and they all agreed and I am so glad. This turned out to be a wonderful decision, and I so enjoyed that time with just me and my ladies.

We were down there for about 45 minutes, and I think I spent most of it just pacing the floors! Haha. I was slowly but surely getting very nervous. It was all finally sinking in! That and the fact that it was too difficult to sit! At about 20 minutes until the start of the ceremony, my DOC came down and just ran through everything that would happen with us again. She said that Capri would come get us when it was time, and then we would ride up in the elevator where my dad would be waiting. Capri would then line the girls up and then she would come get us right when it was time, since our ballroom doesn’t have doors (didn’t want anyone to see me!) She told us a few funny stories about past weddings that she had worked with, and gave me instructions on how to use the restroom in my dress! Haha.

Janet came down to visit us at one point and snapped a few pictures. I asked her how the guys were, and she said they all seemed nervous! At one point, I asked her what time it was and she told me it was 5:22 (our ceremony was scheduled to start at 5:30). That is when it REALLY hit me and I started to freak out big time!

Soon enough Janet left and before we had time to relax Capri came down to get us! It was time!

THE WEDDING - THE CEREMONY

The walk from the bride’s room to the elevator gave me a very familiar feeling – one that I hadn’t felt in about 5 years. All throughout high school and part of college, I did theatre. It was my passion and my life for a long time (and what I thought my career would be). Sadly, I gave up on it my sophomore year of college, and I have missed it terribly. Because I hate being the center of attention (yet loved being on stage in front of hundreds) I kept telling myself that this was all a big play, and that Miguel and I were just the stars. As we walked with Capri to the elevator, I felt like I was about to take the stage. I was so nervous and could have probably thrown up, but it was so amazing to feel that adrenaline rush again. I had almost forgotten what it felt like!

As soon as the elevator door opened, I could hear the beautiful music playing from the string quartet. The entire bridal party (including my family) was walking in to Canon in D and it sounded so lovely! My girls were whisked away and my dad and I stood waiting. More quickly that I would have liked, Canon in D ended and Capri ran around the corner to signal us. Here we go!

The trumpet player started playing and the curtains opened up at just the right moment, and we were off down the aisle!

It was such an odd feeling seeing all of our family and friends standing up, waiting for me to make it down to Miguel. Talk about the center of attention! Haha. It actually wasn’t that bad, and soon enough, we had made it!

I really did make it a point to savor each moment of the wedding. So many people had told me that it goes by in such an instant and that you really have to stop yourself to take it all in. I think I did a pretty good job of that with the exception of the ceremony. It truly is all a blur! This was definitely the most nerve-wracking part of the whole day. I could tell Miguel was so nervous, too! I think we were both worried about getting all of the motions right, but thankfully we did. The ceremony went so much smoother than the rehearsal did! Everyone said it was really beautiful, and they loved the additions that we made for Miguel’s culture.

The only thing that I wish our officiant would have done differently was to announce that we could kiss. He said it very quietly to just Miguel and I and I felt like it was a kind of awkward moment.

The walk out of the ballroom was exhillerating! Everyone erupted in applause and the quartet’s version of our exit song, Si Nos Dejan, was absolutely beautiful! It is traditionally a Mariachi song, so I didn’t know how it would sound with string instruments and a trumpet, but it was so pretty and unique! One we made it out of the ballroom, it was like we could both finally breathe! Miguel kept saying to me “can you believe this?!” He was so cute!

We immediately made our way outside to the courtyard for some pictures. Janet commented on how much more at ease everyone was now compared to before the ceremony!

After our group shots, my family and the bridal party were all “released” to enjoy the cocktail hour while Miguel and I finished up our pictures together.

Up Next: The Reception!

Well hey there stranger =) I know I've been MIA for the LONGEST TIME EVER (okay, 6 months, but still - UNACCEPTABLE). And I had to come check in and tell you that you make an absolutely gorgeous bride.:love::love: I cannot wait to see more wedding pictures from you, and follow along when you do your honeymoon trip report.

Hi!!! I was wondering where you have been! Glad to "see" you around! Thank you so much, and I am so glad that you'll be joining in for the TR! :goodvibes

Absolutely beautiful Courtney! I was running through the motions in my head as you were describing being in the bride's room waiting. My emotions were starting to take over then, too. As soon as I saw my Dad, I started balling and it continued all the way down the aisle! I wish I would have waited a minute to collect myself, but I couldn't help it!

I love the picture of you kissing Miguel's cheek. You guys both look so wonderfully happy! :goodvibes

That last 30 minutes before the ceremony is really surreal. I'm glad that the nerves waited until that moment to hit, because I don't think I would have made it if I felt that way all day!

I am a really emotional person, but I hate showing it in public. I stayed composed the entire time! I was proud of myself!

Oh you guys are so cute!!! The wedding details are gorgeous of course but I love the cuddle/snuggle ones :lovestruc

Did you know that I was a dual major in Social Work and Theatre? (there is a combo for ya!)

i can't believe you had to wait for 45 minutes. I'm so happy that I pulled up at the church right when it was time to GO because I would have gone crazy. I was one of those nuts who didn't eat :rolleyes1

Hi!!! I was wondering where you have been! Glad to "see" you around! Thank you so much, and I am so glad that you'll be joining in for the TR! :goodvibes

I'm just happy you remember who I am! I have no real excuse, just that school and work (and a new nephew) got in the way of feeding my DIS addiction.

I'm loving all the new pictures you added since my last post! ::sigh:: I love weddings.

Wow! Wow! Wow! So many beautiful shots! Love the photos of Miguel kissing your cheek, and you kissing his, so intimate.

The picture of both your hands with the bouquet reminds me of my similar picture. Miguel's hand is darker than yours, just like Ron's hand is darker than mine. I like the contrast.

You are an amazingly gorgeous bride! All the pictures are great, but I especially love the one of you alone (before the wedding) looking up and sorta to the side.

As I was reading all about your ceremony it got me thinking back about mine. I too tried to slow it all down and capture each moment in my head, but it's so hard! Being nervous, and everything happening at once, and just this huge feeling of happiness.

I'm only disappointed about one thing though. No picture of Miguel tearing up watching you come down the aisle? ;) Or at the very least, any picture of him watching you come down the aisle? I love looking at the groom while everyone's eyes are fixed on the bride.

Courtney, all I can say is WOW! I honestly don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful wedding. Everything about it just screamed "love and romance". It was so elegant! You are amazing for planning such a beautiful day...you should really be proud of yourself for making something so beautiful happen! That was truly a fairytale wedding!! Everything looked perfect...from your hair and make-up, the flowers and the photographer!! I'm in awe!
