Hey Dads: My DW has decided that I would be allowed to pick my birthday dinner location for our land/sea trip in February. I am very tossed up because we never did a nice meal at the World. We will have the kids with us, so nothing too fancy, but I am sure I am going to want a GREAT steak!

I thought I would throw a poll up and see what most guys like me would pick. We have about a month left before ressies need to be made, so if its not on the list, let me know.

It is time for some of your best sales pitches.

BTW, here is a link to my pre-trip report - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2753128

The Mushroom Filet @ LeCellier!

To save some money, get it at lunch. Same great steak, much cheaper. :thumbsup2

Of the places you listed, only Le Cellier is really a steak place. While I know there are many Le Cellier lovers here, unless you're going to have lunch there, I just don't see the value of it. That mushroom filet at Le Cellier is now $42 at dinner. They've priced themselves out of the market. You can get a bigger and at least as good (if not better) steak at Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club or Shula's at the Dolphin.

I agree The Yachtsman is excellent.

Sorry fellow guys, but I agree to have the steak at lunch when it is cheaper (and still the same steak) and go for the Wishes Desert Party. Having done that before, I would say that experience is much better than any steak I can buy.

Agreed!

I have heard lots of good things about the Yachtsman as well. It may overtake all the ones listed.

I would do the Yachtsman as well. We had it for dinner one trip and it was fantastic. We also had the kids with and they were great with the kids as well, which made it even better for us to have them accomidate the kids so well.

Yachtsman all the way. Less hectic than Le Cellier, a little more upscale (forget the t-shirts at Yachtsman)
