The Hero, and His Princess Return DxDDP - Earl of Sandwich (4/21)

Just found this dining report! Sounds great so far. We are going in Sept. and staying at CBR - Can't wait for your TR to hear all about it!

Day 2 (5/29) Magic Kingdom – Tony’s Town Square

Seating time: 8:45

As we wandered our way over to Tony’s we met up with a wonderful man named Jeff. Jeff was parking strollers in front of Tony’s and was as cheerful as they come. We chatted with him for a few moments, and he asked us where we were headed. We told him we were on our way to have dinner at Tony’s. Jeff suggested that we ask if there was anyway that we would be able to sit on the porch, while we ate our dinner.

We headed inside, and went to the check in desk. The very sweet girl that took our information told us that there wasn’t a sever assigned to the porch that night, but if our server agreed, they would seat us out there. We were given a pager, and told to have a seat. On our way to finding a seat we got a mushed penny.

After standing around for a few moments, a rather large group was called, and we got a wonderful bench seat right in front of the TV where Lady and the Tramp was showing.

Josh had to use the restroom, and got a few funny shots on his way
The mens’ room door.

And the baby changing station
IMG_3428.jpg

We sat and watched the movie, and the kids at the small table on the floor color for a bit, and then were called to our table.

I was thrilled when our hostess led us out onto the patio, and to a table covered in confetti!

IMG_3435.jpg

I have to say, sitting on the porch just made this meal. It was cool, because the doors were open, but we were outside in the music and excitement of Main Street after dark.

IMG_3440.jpg

IMG_3447.jpg

I ordered an Ice Tea, and SURPRISE Josh ordered a Coke, while we took our time looking over the menu.

IMG_3444.jpg

The decor’ is just so cute!

IMG_3442.jpg

Rebecca, our server was more than sweet, and very attentive, she helped me decide what I wanted, took our order, and then ran off to get our drinks.
While she was gone, the sweet couple across the way took our photo for us! We traded, and took theirs as well.

IMG_3443.jpg

For my appetizer, I chose to go with the cheese bread.

IMG_3450.jpg

I was HUGE! I could have gotten half of this, and still have thought the portion was out of control! I ate less than a quarter of it. There was TONS of cheese on it, and it was very soft. I like soft garlic bread, so for me it was yummy. The tomatoes on top were ok as well. I am not a fan of raw tomatoes, but every once in a while I will order something with them on it, and not request that they be left off. I am glad that I left them on here, because the heavy bread, and heavy cheese needed that little bit of fresh veggie to calm it down.

Joshua, no big surprise here went with the Crispy Calamari

IMG_3451.jpg

According to Josh, it wasn’t the best one he has had.
Me : So talk to me about the calamari
Josh: yea
And back to fighting with the dog he goes.

Anyway, back to our meal was very distracted as we were eating our appetizers, because sitting on the front porch, as we were gave us a front row seat for:

IMG_3457.jpg

That right! We could see the electric parade perfectly! It was amazing!!
The waitstaff did an amazing job of keeping the window / patio clear so that both the folks on the patio, and the people inside could see for where they were sitting!

As we were watching the parade, and munching on our appetizers, they brought out some nice soft rolls. They were not anything fancy, but they were tasty. They were served with olive oil and pepper.

IMG_3464.jpg

As we were watching, our dinners arrived!
I chose the shrimp scampi, and boy was it fantastic!!!!!

IMG_3475.jpg

The shrimp were big and juicy, and cooked perfectly! The asparagus, which is my favorite veggie was nice and crispy! The sauce was amazing, and it was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had!

Josh went with the chicken parm!

IMG_3476.jpg

Josh says it was good. “It had chicken in it, and spaghetti.”

We slowly enjoyed our meals, and just talked about how perfect the day had been!
Soon enough, ti was time for dessert! Rebecca had encouraged us to save room, she said the desserts were amazing!

IMG_3488.jpg

I went with the chocolate cheese cake.

IMG_3492.jpg

Rebecca said that Tinker Bell had flown by on her way to the castle, and left me a picture on my plate!

IMG_3493.jpg

This cheese cake was super yummy! I was glad that I had picked through dinner, in order to save room! I wasn’t so sure when I first saw the shape, but it really was great!

Josh went with the Crème Brulee

IMG_3494.jpg

Josh thought this was good. “Crème Brulee is always good” It was crunchy on the top, and it was very creamy!

We asked for our check, and raced off to see Wishes and ride a few more rides!!

Josh: Yea, the view the décor, it is one of the nicer environments in MK
Me : YES YES YES!!! We will be returning. This was the most romantic meal of our trip, and one that I will never forget. It was a perfect night.

WOW! That sounds just about perfect. I hadn't thought about what it might like to sit on their porch at night. Obviously, its pretty fantastic!

It was just perfect. Honestly it was the most romantic meal I have ever had

My husband and I had a similar experience at Cali Grill a couple years ago, on our adults-only anniversary trip. I started crying when I saw we were seated directly in front of a window, facing the castle, perfect view for Wishes!, at a table strewn with Mickey confetti. That's the stuff that makes Disney so amazing. :lovestruc

I'm so glad to hear how wonderful Tony's was!! We've been going back and forth on that one.... you read some good reviews, some bad. You had me at CALAMARI!!! YUM!!!!
Can't wait for more !! You guys are so adorable !!

How amazing does your Tony's experience seem??

That table looked brilliant - especially when you got such an amazing view of the Electrical light parade.

I'm loving your reviews!:thumbsup2

Doooooo itttttt! I was on the fence, and I am so glad that I booked it. I warned Josh that others didn't like it to much, and now he can't understand why I said that:lmao:
Lol thanks for thinking we are adorable, don't let the dining review fool you though.....

Day 3 (5/30) Hollywood Studios – Caribbean Beach Food Court!

Seating time: not sure, I can’t find our slip!!!! :confused3

Well I failed you all here. I have no photos!!!! Josh and I both grabbed a Chocolate Croissant from the grab and go. I had lemonade and he had Coke!
Once again they were both super tasty! I love that the hotel has a special little sink to rinse your mug out, it was nice to make sure it was fresh for our refills!

Josh – Yea, they were great
Me- Oh Yes!! Yummmmm

Day 3 (5/30) Hollywood Studios – Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

Seating time: 11:45

We arrived VERY early for our lunch seating, and were checked in by a very nice young man. I asked if it was possible if we could have a car seat. He assured me that because we had a reservation, we were guaranteed a car! :cool1:

We had a seat, and as we were waiting two young girls approached me and asked if I wanted to trade pins! I said of course, and pointed out to them which ones I wasn’t willing to part with, and they were more than happy to take a few of my baby princesses off my lanyard. :cutie:

We had a little wait, as we were about 45 minutes early, but were called in long before our seating time! I very nice man lead us to our car, where we had a great view of the drive in screen!

IMG_3597.jpg

We were placed in the back row of a car where a family of 5 (a little one in a stroller was asleep) was having their dessert.

IMG_3599-Copy2.jpg

They were offering a special dessert because it was a StarWars weekend week.

IMG_3603.jpg

We took a look at the menu, while watching the great clips that were playing above us. We were both torn between the onion rings, and the spinach artichoke dip, so I got the dip, and he got the rings, and we agreed to share!!! I chose to go with a Diet Coke, I needed some caffeine! Josh went with the regular Coke, are you surprised!??

IMG_3604.jpg

They were both yummy! I stuck mostly with the dip, but I did have a few rings. I always ask for ranch with my rings, so that is why you see it sticking out of the side of the plate….

The rings were hot and crispy! When you bit into them, the onion would snap, so you didn’t end up with one bite of onion, and one bite of coating. They were a little greasy, but hey what do you expect.
The spinach artichoke dip was good as well. I wish it had a little less cheese on the top, there was tons, which made it really hard to get into! The chips were crispy and salty, and it was hot, so not complaints here!

I was torn with what I wanted to order for lunch. I was looking at the burger and the shrimp pasta. Surprise right? I went with the pasta. Josh and I are both creatures of habit. Josh went with the Turkey Sandwich.

IMG_3606.jpg

My pasta was…. Ok. The shrimp were cooked correctly, and the pasta wasn’t over or under done, it just didn’t have the flavor of the other pasta dishes that I had already tried. It wasn’t bad by any means, and I would order it again if there was nothing else on the menu that I was thinking about ordering. Long story short, it wasn’t bad, but I wish I had gone with the burger.
Josh’s sandwich – “fries were good, sandwich wasn’t that bad, there was a lot of turkey, and it was kinda soggy”

Here is a fun photo of us in our car that our very sweet waitress, Holly took for us!

IMG_3607-Copy2.jpg

After a we both ate about half our meals we decided that it was time for dessert!

Josh chose to go with the Ice Cream Sunday, and I went with the peanut butter cake with ice cream!

IMG_3613.jpg

My cake was really good! I ate most of it, and a lot of the ice cream. I am not normally a big sweets person, so eating dessert at every meal was a big deal for me!

Josh’s ice cream Sunday was “really good”, I guess that is all you guys are getting for a description. He has asked that next time, if I am going to do a dining review that we write this stuff down while we are still on the trip!!! LOL that’s right I have turned him to the dark side!!!!!

Any who, we finished up, and waited to pay. We were on our way again after about an hour! The film was just starting back to the first thing we saw when we walked in, as we were waiting for Holly to come back for us to sign.

Total : 71.35

Worth the Credits:

Josh- “Yes, I wasn’t a huge fan of the sandwich, but the fries were good, the Sunday was good, not only that but the environment was good. I loved the videos they showed! It was hilarious!”

Beth- Oh yes! Very fun, I liked eating in the car, and watching the clips as we ate!
