The 3rd Time's A Charm! A June 16-23, 2012 PTR

Ok my faithful followers, even though I am sure I have lost some along the way. Thanks for sticking with me! Those of you who have not met me & my crazy family, hold on cause here we go!

Me:
Joni, a 30 year old SAHM of 3. Totally Disney addicted. If I am not wearing or watching or listening to something Disney, I am planning our trip or helping others plan a trip. My dream is to one day be a Disney TA.

My husband:
Ben, a 30 year old hardworking father & husband. He is slowly becoming Disney addicted, even though he has been to WDW more times than I have. He totally supports my addiction

The Good Son:
Koby, a 11 year old soon to be 6th grader who plays the trumpet in band, loves roller coasters & will spend yet ANOTHER birthday at WDW.

The Crazy Son:
Brady, a 8 year old wild child that never lets us have a quiet moment & leaves us wondering what will he say or do next. He has conquered his roller coaster fear & can't wait to go back to WDW!

The Princess:
Shelby, a 2 year old who is the sweetest more adorable little girl you have ever seen. She is very smart & loves all things Disney, just like her Mama. Training her right!

So a little background on the title. Thanks to my good friend, Joni-therussells08, she said this was a great idea! So this is my 3rd attempt at a PTR. I had to keep changing my dates, so I started over everytime with a PTR. This is our 3rd trip to Disney since we have been married. And Shelby will be 3 when we go. They say the 3rd time is a charm & yes it is! These dates are definite & vacation has already been planned to take off of work!

Dates: June 16-23, 2012
Resort: Port Orleans Riverside! It was cheaper than the Value resorts, so we are super excited to be staying there!

So stay tuned. I have our plans all figured out already & a monthly countdown chain already going!

Ok so first it was June 2011, that didn't happen. Then it was definitely April 2012 for Shelby's birthday, well they changed my husband's schedule at work, so we had to push it back to June 2012! I swear if I have to push it back any further I will cry. So we are going again for Koby's birthday. Here are the general plans & later on in the next posts I will go into more detail. I will post on where we are eating, and we are doing the dining plan this time!, and drinking around the world that Ben wants to do, the BBB for Shelby & Pirates League for the boys! We are going for a glorious 8 days 7 nights & staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Since Shelby is no longer considered an infant, the only value resort we can stay in is ASMu in the family suite & that is more expensive than POR! So whoo hoo for an unplanned upgrade! So without further ado, here is the quick run down of our trip:

June 16-24, 2012

June 15th-Leave for Disney World. Stop midway to sleep

June 16th-Arrive at Port Orleans Riverside, Check In, Head to Magic Kingdom, counter service meals

June 17th-Magic Kingdom, BBB, Pirates League, CRT

June 18th- Epcot, Akershus

June 19th-Epcot, ‘Ohana

June 20th-Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Chef Mickey’s-Koby's 12th birthday, so he got to choose the park & the ADR

June 21st-Hollywood Studios,Play and Dine Breakfast

June 22nd- Animal Kingdom, Donald’s Safari Breakfast

June 23rd-Animal Kingdom, 1900 Park Fare, Leave & stop midway to sleep

June 24th-Arrive home

Now I want & need all input on these plans, on the BBB, Pirates League & Drinking Around the World. But there you have it, the basics.

I really hope more stop by to read, most of these places I have never been & these are things I have never done!

Oh yeah, and clothes are ordered, so pics of those will be posted!

Great update! I hate that your plans kept having to change, but I think that you are going to have a blast in June 2012! It is so exciting that you get to go for so long and that you got that unplanned upgrade! We stayed at POFQ on our Disneymoon and loved it!

I don't have any experience with BBB or Pirates League, but I have some experience with drinking around the world. Best beer in all of Epcot is the Oktoberfest in Germany. Also, make sure you try at Lapu Lapu or Pina Colava at Ohana. Plus, the Grand Marnier orange slushie in the French pavilion of WS is to die for!

Thanks! It was killing me to have to keep changing my plans! But it worked out for the best due to us getting to stay longer & us staying at POR. I really didn't want to stay in a Louisiana based resort, since that's where I live, but hey I'm not complaining!

Day 1, June 16th: Magic Kingdom

*Leave our hotel, since we are leaving the night before & getting a hotel to stay that night. We drove straight through last time & if you read my TR...NEVER again!!!!

We are hoping to see this big beautiful sign around 9 or 10 am:

That's right, Port Orleans Riverside! Now being from Louisiana, and SOUTH Louisiana at that, it was not my choice to stay there, it was the price that chose us to stay there. I am really hoping for a room in the Magnolia Section. The swampy looking section, well I see that just looking out of my front door.

I doubt we will do the Hall of Presidents. Ben & I did it back in 2007 & while it was a great place to get out of the rain, we wasn't impressed & I really don't think my kids will like it.

Mainly because Shelby is a Tiana freak! She went from calling her "Na-na" to "Tee-Na-Na" to now actually saying "Tiana". I was really hoping she would have kept one of the other 2 names for when she met her.

I love pictures! It always makes me feel more in the Disney spirit! I will have tons of pics in this ptr! I was actually listening to Gnomeo & Juliet playing on tv while my daughter was slowly drifting off to sleep! Most of the days I am listening to Four Parks One World or SOMETHING playing on the Disney Channel

So last night Ben told me that him & his co worker had a heated discussion about Disney. I looked shocked & asked about what. Now Ben has been to Disney more times than I have, but thanks to the MANY websites & tons of Disney friends I know more than him & have schooled him in everything I know. I asked him what the discussion was about & he told me that his coworker & his wife are planning a Thanksgiving trip & it would be cheaper for them to stay OFF Disney property. He told him no it wouldn't. Enter heated discussion. So last night Ben had me go on the Disney site & give him prices for with & without the dining plan. Well of course I jumped on that! Anything to do more Disney planning! So I gave Ben the prices. This morning he tells me that he told his coworker the prices I gave to Ben. His coworker calls his wife, hangs up the phone, looks at Ben & says, "Would Joni mind if my wife gave her a call to ask questions about Disney?" Ben looked at him like he had 3 heads & said "Uh no! Joni LIVES for this!" I just had to share that quick bit No on to our regularly scheduled ptr!

Day 2, June 17th: Magic Kingdom

Wake up & head once again to

Since the boys will be so done with Princesses & girly things we will then head to

Pirates League!

Tangled Play & Greet! Shelby is another HUGE fan of "Tango Puzzle" as she calls it.

We ate there for the first time on our last trip and we ended up eating there again because it was so good. I just want to swim around in that cheese sauce. It's delicious!!

Thanks! We have to do the barber shop again! Brady would die if he couldn't get the mohawk colored again!. The BBB is a must & since I can't leave the boys out, we are gonna do Pirates League for them.

So glad to hear that Casey's Corner is good. We haven't eaten at any of those places before. We are trying all new things, with the exception of a few.
