Ikea coupons?

I've decided I've had it with this bedroom and I'm going to Ikea tonight and redoing the whole thing. It was spurred on by the fact that my parents are coming to visit soon and I'd like for them to stay here. They offered to bring an air mattress.... I'm not having my 70 year old parents sleep on an air mattress on the floor!

This is going to involve some serious purchases tonight. I'll be getting a bedframe and the slatted wooden base - possibly mattresses, but I've heard Ikea isn't the best for that, so probably not. But I'll also be getting a new desk for DH. The "guest room" has to also still function as an office for when we don't have guests. I'll also be buying various organizing items for getting the paperwork and STUFF under control.

So all this begs the question - does anyone know of any coupons for Ikea? An online search found a blog that talked about $50 off $300 purchases, $15 off $100, etc... but no actual links to coupons.

Thanks!
Julie

I have never seen any coupons, and have spent ALOT of time and money in there! We have 2 of the Malm bedframes. I love them. We did not get our mattress at Ikea.

sometimes they have promotions periods where, what-ever you spend in the cafe will be deducted from your same day furniture purchase over $100

Each store has thier own schedule as to which days they offer it, and you receipt has to be validated by the cafe cashier.

to find the dates, you have to go to ikea . com and look under store locator and then look at that stores page

Also, I know for years, if you purchased via debit card, you get a credit for 1%on the bottom of your recipet for your next purhcase. I *think* the credits expired like 90 days out, so you can save them up and combine them, or at least you used to be able to.

I don't think we'll see much Q's from Ikea anymore considering they ended their own store credit card program.

The only coupons I have found were $25 off $250 from the Kid Stuff coupon books but I don't know if those are regional or not.

They have sales and promotions near Holidays along with some coupons at times. I have a Hemnes Set and Malm set and highly recommend. The quality is great and the pricing is fantastic!!

Occasionally they'll post deals on their website...but otherwise I've never seen coupons

The only coupon I have ever seen for Ikea is the one that prints after you use your Debit card to pay. I think you get a whopping 1% off your next purchase.

I think there might have been a few coupons of the $ off a certain purchase amount type when they had their grand opening, but I don't ever remember any since.

We bought bedroom dressers for our kids over 15yrs. ago and they still look good as new. They have since them bought Malm bedroom sets for themselves and love them. Great looking and quality.

We recently shopped for a mattress, and wasn't thrilled with the IKEA selections. We opted for an online purchase thru www.bedinabox.com and couldn't be happier. Was delivered within a week, and oh so comfy. Would work with IKEA bedframes and no need for a boxspring.

Thanks, all. I was afraid there wouldn't be anything online to print out.

I wanted to go ahead and get this done so I just took the plunge late this afternoon and went and picked everything out. It's being delivered tomorrow.

Now I have to get this office cleaned out. :rotfl:

Wow - everything you wanted was in stock? That's great. Seems as if every time we go to Ikea, something we want is not available.

As for mattresses, we bought one on costco.com for a great price and no delivery fee. It was much easier than another local mattress purchase.

It didn't even occur to me that the stuff might not have been in stock. :scared1: I guess I got lucky.

And yeah, the idea of having a mattress delivered right from an online source sounds great. Since it's a guest bed, the test drive isn't as important. I know the "general" specifics of what I want and that should be fine.

I went to Staples last night to get a shredder. Even after checking online and looking for the "check store stock" option and having it listed as "in stock," I got there and there were none on the shelf. Had to track down an employee (they all like to hang out behind the counter - no one on the floor) and ask him. He wandered off, came back, found another employee... 10 minutes later, they were finally able to tell me that the computer showed they had two somewhere, but they couldn't find them in the stock room. He even used the words "lost" and "mess."

And B&M stores wonder why they're losing business to Amazon. :rolleyes1
