Kevin,
I don't recall a review of Le Cellier for Dinner since they've changed to 2TS credits for those on the dining plan. Do you have a review scheduled?

I'm wondering if they have upped their game or merely their profit margin. popcorn::

I'm not Kevin, but as far as I'm concerned it was worth the extra credit. I had a 16 oz rib eye that you could have cut with a butter knife. Even my Mom, who likes her steaks well done, well done, and well done again, said it tasted great.

That said, it was only the second time I've been there, and my only signature restaurant.

Thanks for the report. How was the service?

We haven't done the dining plan in a while, but we are regulars at narcoosees (once or twice a year). We had our wedding dinner there so we go back on every trip and order the filets again. This April neither of our filets were cooked right, but everything else was excellent. For the price we really should have sent them back, but when you're at a signature restaurant with a 1 yr old sometimes speed means more than a perefect filet :rotfl2:

Thanks for the report. Was this after it changed to a signature at night?

The service was more than amazing. For starters, the waiter could tell when my daughters ordered the cheese soup that my son wanted some, but the girls got theirs as part of the kids menu, and my son is 11. My son's eyes lit up when the waiter brought my son a complimentary kid's bowl when his sisters bowls came out.

I'm not trying to insult my parents, but this is by far the fanciest restaurant they have ever been in, and both I and the waiter could tell they were a bit uncomfortable. He made an extra effort to make them feel at ease. Being from Canada as well, as soon as he cracked the joke "I'm sure you would feel a lot better in a Swiss Chalet with a Timmy's coffee, now wouldn't you? Well just leave it up to me, and I'll make you feel at home." I knew he was a great waiter.

We did LC two years ago and I thought my steak was awful. My DH and Mom loved theirs. (I am a bit of steak snob) but I just didn't care for it. So I said I wasn't going back once it went to a signature.

However, DH and mom begged and we are going back in December. So we will see.

My 2DS did good, we only go out to fancy restaurants at Disney. So they think it is part of Disney.

Sidetracking this thread, but I saw your mom and remembered that you were worried about meals with her. How did that all turn out?

It turned out great. Everywhere we went, the chefs came out and gave her numerous options. I think her favourite was the first night when we went to Pollo campero, and she had desserts at Babycakes. People withourt celiac don't realize just how little desserts there are for celiac people.
