Welcome to my first dining review! The DH and I spent 9 night dining deluxe, staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort! We will be doing a full trip report, but as helpful as I found dining reviews for planning, I figure I should put my info out there!

A little about us!

Josh - The DH
He just returned from far away after a year long deployment, and has what he likes to call "deployment appetite." He was very excited to be eating things that didn't have dust in them :lmao: We ended up going deluxe when Josh said he didn't care about how or when we went, he just wanted to eat! Josh is very adventures, and tries things that I classify as icky.

Beth - Me!
I am the planning mastermind. I stalk the restaurant boards, and changed my ADRS so many times it would make your head spin! I do not eat mayo, at all. This seems trivial, but you would be surprised by how many things come with mayo slathered on them.

We were married before Joshua left, but never got our "proper" honeymoon, so this trip was a Welcome Home!/Honeymoon.

Travel Day : McDonalds!

We woke very early, and caught our first of 3 planes to get to Orlando. By the time we got to NY, I was starving, and we decided to grab breakfast at McDonalds!
Our McDonalds in Maine doesn’t serve the chicken on a biscuit anymore, so we were both excited to see it on the menu board! I had a sweet tea, and Josh had an OJ. Our hash browns were VERY hot and tasty! Service was less than stellar, no one behind the counter looked like they wanted to be there.

It was McDonald’s food, so we weren’t expecting much. Not great, not terrible. My sweet tea wasn’t very good, I didn’t finish it. Could have been better, but it could have been MUCH worse :)

Travel Day: Liberty Tree Tavern

Just as an FYI, there are no photos, and I did not eat at this meal. I had a major migraine, the worst I have ever had. Dinner was cut short. I will describe this nightmare in full detail in my TR.
However, none of that was the fault of Liberty Tree!!!! We had by far the best service we have ever had in a Disney restaurant Cheryl Lynn was kind, concerned for me, and went WAY above and beyond to try and help me when I slipped from headache to in big trouble. She was attentive, kept drinks full, and speed the meal up big time for us!
Josh’s take on the food was that it was “soooo good.” “The gravy was amazing. It had little shards of turkey in it” The desert, apple cobbler with ice cream was “really really good” He loved the turkey and ate several rolls. He says the veggies were good as well.

Dinner for 1 - $31.99 (per Allears, I didn’t keep this receipt, was too far “Gone”)
Credits used – 1
Worth the credit :
Josh “Oh Yea!”
Me “If I had eaten more than one bite of potatoes heck yes!”

Sorry you had a migraine. :(. I went to your wedding trip 2010. You and husband take beautiful pictures. Very sad he had to leave right after you got married. I am very glad he is home safe. ( Twin nephews were called to duty right after 9-11. One nephew had be released from reserves other one was waiting for orders for discharge. They were in the first bunch to go off to Iraq) Nephew and his GF got married 5 days before he shipped out for Iraq. They had a big wedding planned, invites all sent, paid in full for most of it when he was called back to active duty. Not sure how or who took care of getting of getting last minute wedding arranged but it ended up being a wonderful day.

I am looking forward to reading your dining review. So glad husband did not have to contend with any "sandy" food. Nephews talked about all the sand, then more sand, then sand over sand. I am sure he will not be missing that. I sure hope there are no more deployments in his future.

Hi I didn't realise you had started a dining review - I posted on your PTR and can't wait to read the full TR!

I'm sorry to read about your migraine - hope it didn't last.

Thank you for your kind words! Yes, it is so great to have him home, at this point there are no more deployments planned! I am glad your nephews have served, and returned safely!

Thanks for joining in!

I'm sorry to read about your migraine - hope it didn't last.

Yay! I am glad you followed me over!

I'll be joining in! Congratulations on your wedding and eventual honeymoon :goodvibes

So sorry to hear about your migraine! That must have been such a pain. Hopefully it didn't bother you for the rest of the trip.

And one other thing - I also can't stand mayo!! So I completely relate when you say that it seems like it's on everything. It really is so difficult to find food (especially sandwiches) that doesn't have mayo slathered on it, yuck.

i'm joining in! sorry you had a migrane! it's so miserable :( i've had my share of disney meals ruined by those awful things. i'm glad they were very nice to you at ltt!!

I just read through your entire Wedding trip report, so now I'm in for the Honeymoon eating fest! I can' wait!:thumbsup2

Cant wait for more! Thanks for sharing and please thank your hubby for all he does for us :grouphug:

I'm in!:)

There's nothing worse than feeling ill on holiday, is there? Especially as your migraine sounds really nasty :sad2:

Might have to pop and look at your wedding trip report - you're a cute couple! Can't wait for more reviews....:surfweb:

Sorry you had to deal with a migaine that night! Those are the worst! I can't wait for more of your reviews though :cool1:

You poor girl having a migraine on your first day - maybe excitement and stress of travel triggered it.

Well done to your DH for being one of the brave lads on both sides of the atlantic who are keeping us safe at home :)

I'm here!

I can't believe you reviewed McDonald's, you are too funny! :lmao: Glad they had your chicken on a biscuit!

So sorry to hear that you were sick at Liberty Tree! I hope that the rest of your dining only goes up from there!

I am glad to find someone else who understands the mayo issue! Thanks for joining in, I glad to say that was the only headache of the trip!

The waitress was so kind. She went above and beyond. She got me ice, and even showed me some pressure points that she hoped would help!

I am glad you have decided to join in!

I love this itinerary, count me in!

Yay and welcome!

The migraine was not a fun way to start the trip. It was a blessing in disguise though, as it forced us to slow down and we really enjoyed our trip, more than I think we would have if we had kept rushing rushing rushing

Feel free to take a peek, it is long though, and very photo heavy!

I will be looking for more reviews.

YAY! I won't disappoint!

Sounds like a great lineup!

It sure was alot of great food!
