Princesses don't hit, kick or spit.................This phrase was said quite a few times on our trip when my little princess and her lovely brothers would start to pick on one another. Usually it was while in lines but occasionally it was said while at dinner or in the pool or in the room :rotfl: Being the only girl with 3 brothers she fights the hard battle of wanting to wear dresses and be a princess and wanting to duke it out with them when they get to playing. Hence this phrase came to be, and the boys loved to remind her of it!

If your following me over from my PTR then thank you, I hope my report lives up to your expectations. If your just joining then :welcome:, I love having readers and promise to update often. I have no life so that shouldn't be a problem :rotfl:

Ok, so where to begin? How about introductions?

There's me Lisa 36, SAHM and lover of all things Disney. My grandparents took me yearly as a child but I've only been 4 times as an adult. I am raising good Disney loving children and slowly showing my DH the light: I've become a bit obsessive about doing Disney Theme Nights, you can go to my PTR to see the ones we did leading up to our trip and I plan on continuing them until our next trip which will probably not be until 2013 :sad1: My favorite park is MK and favorite ride is The Haunted Mansion.

Then there's my 41 year old DH Chris. He works hard so that we can keep up with the kids and mine Disney habit:lovestruc I know he's getting hooked when he doesn't diasgree with me anymore when I say we'll be back in 2 yrs, lol. Of course I would like to go every year but he has this silly notion that we should vacation other places once in a while so every 2 years it is! He has been to Disney 4 times, his favorite park is Epcot and favorite ride is Everest.

He'd kill me if he knew I posted this but I love this pic;)

Onto Christian my 15 year old DS. Even though most kids his age balk at the idea of going to Disney, he absoluetly loves it. Don't get me wrong he does get bored at times, especially when we are waiting in lines for characters but for the most part he enjoys it very much. He is baseball obsessed sophomore in high school and an all around great kid. This trip we brought along my neice which was perfect for him, they were able to hang out after we went to bed at night and go off on their own in the parks. On our next trip I will probably let him bring a friend since having someone there around his own age worked out so well. This was his 4th trip and like his father his favorite park is Epcot and ride is Everest.

Next is my 8 year old DS Ben, he is developmentallly delayed and has mild Cerebral Palsy. He is my little inspiration, in his 8 years he has overcome so many obstacles. He just started walking on his own about 3 years ago and still needs a stroller for long distances (like Disney) but is doing great! He's a lover of books and anything Cars. This was his 3rd trip and his favorite park is Magic Kingdom and ride is Toy Story Mania.

029-7.jpg

Sam is my 7 year old DS. He is my wild and crazy one! Sam is little my prodigy when it comes to Disney, he helps me plan our theme nights out and can name every character from every Disney movie. He loves the thrill rides like his momma and is thankfully still not embarassed to hug the princesses:cloud9: This was Sam's 3rd trip and his favorite park is DHS and ride is Star Tours.

Next is Emily, my 4 year old princess and inspiration for the title of this report. She is as girly as they come but loves to get dirty too:rolleyes: She has a collection of way too many American Girl dolls for a girl her age and also collects Minnie Mouses. This trip her and I got to have some wonderful mommy/daughter time when she went to BBB, it was something I had been looking forward to more than she was I think. This was Emily's 3rd trip and her favorite park is MK and favorite ride is TOT:scared1:

Joining us on our trip for the 3rd time was my MIL Camille. She likes to come along and share in the joy that Disney brings the kids. She calls me her travel agent and lets me do all of the planning. She just goes along for the ride and does whatever we tell her is on the agenda. She went to WDW once before with her DH and has gone on our last 3 trips.

Also joining us this year was my neice Cassandra, she just turned 20 a couple of days before our trip so we celebrated her birthday all week. She has only been to WDW once when we went back in 2002 with DH's brother and sister in law. They were thinking about coming for a few days on this trip but weren't able to get away this week. They did however go down for a long weekend a couple of weeks ago because they won a all exspense paid trip at the Grand Floridian. Some people have all the luck!

So there's the Who, I'll be back with the When and Why soon and the big reveal of our trip.

Glad to hear you all made it back safely and had a great trip. We leave Friday!! I will be following your TR until then. BTW, great introductions and cute pics!

Oh she looks so pretty from her BBB! I'm glad that you had a great time, I'm coming over from the PTR! Very excited to hear everything!

I’m in! This sounds like it is going to be a fun TR and I need something to keep me going until September!

That is cool that your oldest DS still enjoys going on trips with you! Having grown up with two brothers I totally get what you mean about your DD. I have to say she looks great in her gown and makeover :thumbsup2

I’m looking forward to reading more! popcorn::

Thanks so much, I thought she looked beautiful, Emikly looked so different that at one point we didn't recognize her (more on that later:thumbsup2)

So do you need a vacation after your vacation?? ;)

Looking forward to reading all about it!

Yes, don't we all when we come home from Disney? Dh and I were discussing on the way home that we may take a couple days at the beach on the way home from our next trip.

Thanks all for following me over! I will get to work tonight on the reveal.

I'm in popcorn:: Looks like a great group.

Looks like a fun crew. :) Can't wait to hear about your trip!

Count me in!! We are going in July and staying at POP.

We love POP, we've stayed there on our last 2 trips. The suites they are building look like they are coming along nicely so hopefully by the time we return we'll get to stay there, I'm thinking of a split stay between there and AKL.

Cute kids! Looking forward to the details.

:welcome: And thanks everyone for coming on board!

So for those of you who read my PTR you know that this trip was a surprise to my younger kids. They knew we were going back in 2011 they just didn't know when exactly we were going. And let me say how hard it was to keep the surprise, packing only after the kids were in bed, talking in code, hiding packages as soon as they were brought in the house. I almost gave away the surprise with a little smiley face I put on the calendar on the 26th, Sam noticed it immediately when May came around and bugged us continuously about what it was. I ended up telling them that it was a feild trip I was planning for them ;)

I started doing Disney theme nights in preparation for the trip but as far as the kids knew we were just doing them for fun. On the night before our trip I had planned a Walt Disney World/Mickey Mouse night. We rented a Vintage Mickey dvd from Netflix so as far as they knew it was just another movie night. The first surprise of the night came when my MIL brought a special guest, my neice Cassandra. They knew Granny was coming for our night, she's come to a couple already so it was not unusual for her to be here. But when Cass came they were overjoyed, they all love her so much and since she lives 3 hours away they don't get to see her all that much.

Here's a few pics of the decorations Emily and I did for the night

We started the night off with some snacks

016-11.jpg

Then had some special pizzas that DH had them make at his restaurant (he's a GM of a CPK), we also had some salad and pasta.

And dessert was cupcakes, for those who have seen my past theme nights you know I go all out on the cupcakes but there was no time for elaborate decorating this night so I went the easy route, please forgive me :rotfl:

013-13.jpg

Then it was craft time, the kids decorated picture frames and we put a picture in it from a past trip, even Cass who I dug a pic from our 2002 trip out for.

Then at 7pm we got a phone call. Who could it be? It was Mickey Mouse! He was calling to tell the kids that he heard how well they were doing in school and how proud he was of them, there was more but to honest I can't even remember what. And of course I forgot to videotape it! So they were so happy that Mickey called and now I told them it was time for them to open this.

017-9.jpg

This had been sitting on the ottoman, staring at them all evening, just waiting to be opened! I get the camera ready all set to videotape this awesome occasion and this is what I got.

Yes somehow I stopped videotaping after about 5 seconds:scared1:

So let me just tell you what happened:lmao: They tore into the wrapping , opened the box and out came a Tinkerbell balloon with a note attached to it!

074-2.jpg

Then the screams and jumping up and down happened:lovestruc Just like I had secretly hoped for but was afraid wouldn't! They were so excited, I swear it was something right out of the commercials! My DN got it on tape on her phone so as soon as sends sends it to me I'll post it on here. All of my hard work and sneaking around totally paid off:cloud9:

Here's a couple of pics I got after the reveal, honestly as picture crazy as I am it was tough getting them to sit still long enough to get a decent picture!

After the madness settled down Sam realized he would be missing school. This was the one thing I worried about, he tends to freak out when he thinks he's missing out on something at school, staying home when he's sick is like torture to him! So out came the packet his wonderful teachers had prepared for him. Including a book all about the fun he'll be having at Disney they made for him and letters from his teachers saying how it was ok to miss school for the week. Sam's got OCD and some anxiety issues so all of this stuff was so helpful, he quickly got over the fact that he's missing school and was all set to go!

I had planned on playing a round of the Magic Kingdom game I had found at a yard sale a few weeks ago and maybe watching the planning video but it was getting late and we had to get up really early the next day so I had them grab a couple of things that they MUST have with them on our trip and off to bed they went! Or at least Ben and Emily went to sleep, Sam was up until about 10pm but finally crashed. DH packed the truck up and went to sleep around the same time as Sam and I headed up about 11pm.

We had a departure time set for 5am, would we make it?

Ok Ive jumped on the ship....this is so exciting I cant wait to read more!!! We are going in December the 28th through January 11th 2012 and so for the next couple months while I wait for December to get here I will be reading trip reports and doing everything disney:goodvibes
We live near Disneyland in California and go very often as we always try to have our AP's however I became addicted to WDW in Florida when we took our very first trip there in 2006 thanks to McDonalds!!! We won it all expense paid at Disney's Boardwalk Villas....it was amazing....now all I do is dream about the day I move to Florida just to be near Disney World :goodvibes
We also Surprised our girls one time for a 2 week trip at Disneyland staying at Disneys Grand Californian Hotel and it was fantastic to get that reaction and reading your trip report on how you surprised your children took me back to the day that our girls thought we were going to be going to do some things in town including droping off a huge load at Goodwill (that is how we explain the sheet covering all the luggage we had packed into the back of our SUV) our girls thought ther donation boxes under the sheets and when we got there I gave them each an envelope that they opened to find and printed out Disney Itenerary along with a disney gift card loaded with cash for them to spend...I will never forget their reaction......priceless!
