Princesses don't hit, kick or spit.................This phrase was said quite a few times on our trip when my little princess and her lovely brothers would start to pick on one another. Usually it was while in lines but occasionally it was said while at dinner or in the pool or in the room Being the only girl with 3 brothers she fights the hard battle of wanting to wear dresses and be a princess and wanting to duke it out with them when they get to playing. Hence this phrase came to be, and the boys loved to remind her of it!
If your following me over from my PTR then thank you, I hope my report lives up to your expectations. If your just joining then , I love having readers and promise to update often. I have no life so that shouldn't be a problem
Ok, so where to begin? How about introductions?
There's me Lisa 36, SAHM and lover of all things Disney. My grandparents took me yearly as a child but I've only been 4 times as an adult. I am raising good Disney loving children and slowly showing my DH the light: I've become a bit obsessive about doing Disney Theme Nights, you can go to my PTR to see the ones we did leading up to our trip and I plan on continuing them until our next trip which will probably not be until 2013 My favorite park is MK and favorite ride is The Haunted Mansion.
Then there's my 41 year old DH Chris. He works hard so that we can keep up with the kids and mine Disney habit I know he's getting hooked when he doesn't diasgree with me anymore when I say we'll be back in 2 yrs, lol. Of course I would like to go every year but he has this silly notion that we should vacation other places once in a while so every 2 years it is! He has been to Disney 4 times, his favorite park is Epcot and favorite ride is Everest.
He'd kill me if he knew I posted this but I love this pic
Onto Christian my 15 year old DS. Even though most kids his age balk at the idea of going to Disney, he absoluetly loves it. Don't get me wrong he does get bored at times, especially when we are waiting in lines for characters but for the most part he enjoys it very much. He is baseball obsessed sophomore in high school and an all around great kid. This trip we brought along my neice which was perfect for him, they were able to hang out after we went to bed at night and go off on their own in the parks. On our next trip I will probably let him bring a friend since having someone there around his own age worked out so well. This was his 4th trip and like his father his favorite park is Epcot and ride is Everest.
Next is my 8 year old DS Ben, he is developmentallly delayed and has mild Cerebral Palsy. He is my little inspiration, in his 8 years he has overcome so many obstacles. He just started walking on his own about 3 years ago and still needs a stroller for long distances (like Disney) but is doing great! He's a lover of books and anything Cars. This was his 3rd trip and his favorite park is Magic Kingdom and ride is Toy Story Mania.
Sam is my 7 year old DS. He is my wild and crazy one! Sam is little my prodigy when it comes to Disney, he helps me plan our theme nights out and can name every character from every Disney movie. He loves the thrill rides like his momma and is thankfully still not embarassed to hug the princesses This was Sam's 3rd trip and his favorite park is DHS and ride is Star Tours.
Next is Emily, my 4 year old princess and inspiration for the title of this report. She is as girly as they come but loves to get dirty too She has a collection of way too many American Girl dolls for a girl her age and also collects Minnie Mouses. This trip her and I got to have some wonderful mommy/daughter time when she went to BBB, it was something I had been looking forward to more than she was I think. This was Emily's 3rd trip and her favorite park is MK and favorite ride is TOT
Joining us on our trip for the 3rd time was my MIL Camille. She likes to come along and share in the joy that Disney brings the kids. She calls me her travel agent and lets me do all of the planning. She just goes along for the ride and does whatever we tell her is on the agenda. She went to WDW once before with her DH and has gone on our last 3 trips.
Also joining us this year was my neice Cassandra, she just turned 20 a couple of days before our trip so we celebrated her birthday all week. She has only been to WDW once when we went back in 2002 with DH's brother and sister in law. They were thinking about coming for a few days on this trip but weren't able to get away this week. They did however go down for a long weekend a couple of weeks ago because they won a all exspense paid trip at the Grand Floridian. Some people have all the luck!
So there's the Who, I'll be back with the When and Why soon and the big reveal of our trip.
