I'm getting really excited for Sunday! I'm going by myself and this will be the 1st time that I'll be attending a DIS meet. I was a little nervous about going solo, but it's just a better chance to meet everyone

You're never really alone when you're with a bunch of Disney and DIS fans!

If anyone attending Sunday's meet would be willing to fill out a brief survey before and one after...I'd appreciate it. A colleague and I are doing research on people's experiences with meeting an online "friend" for the first time in a face-to-face setting.

We are researchers from Western Illinois University who have wondered the same thing. It was a FANTASTIC meet! Huge kudos to Dave for putting together such a wonderful event and for the outpouring of support for Give Kids the World!! We had a great time meeting folks and seeing friends, and we enjoyed getting the opportunity to meet Anthony Daniels. Much to our surprise, he even posed for photos with us. Photos to follow, but it will take a little while to get to them to edit and sort...

I think a memorial stone for Lorie and Glenn sounds like a wonderful idea. Their passing is so very sad.

So glad you got these up, Dave! It was a great event and I felt lucky to be there; it was my very first DIS meet, and I'm definitely hooked!

I just listened to the podcast, and have to thank the team for all their praise. I'm glad everyone had a good time. It was cool hearing it from their perspective too. I was so focused on seeing everyone and chatting that there were things that I missed.

I didn't know that CM went around to the tables to tell people the park was open and that they could get in line for Star Tours if they wanted. That's awesome!

I also didn't know about flag flown in Afghanistan that was given to the team. That is so very cool.

Finally, one point of clarification, about the Imagineer who appeared - Diego Parras. That was definitely planned. I reached out to him a while back to see if he could just stop by our breakfast briefly and say hello to everyone. I didn't want to say anything though because we didn't know for sure he could come because his schedule was so packed with the opening of the attraction. The fact that he not only came, but stayed until nearly 11:00am chatting with everyone and answering questions exceeded all my expectations. We had our own breakfast with an Imagineer! I definitely owe him a dinner the next time I'm in town.

Thank you so much for the feedback Holly. I'm so glad you came, were so enthusiastic, and thank you for bidding on the items. Anthony Daniels and Imagineer Diego Parras were both so generous with their time. Anthony was great posing for pictures, donating items, and then taking the time to have a private meet and greet with those of you who won the items. I was blown away by their generosity.
