Planning Our Happily Ever After - A Disneymoon PTR! (NEW 7/13 - TR Link!)

This is not a joke...last night after reading your last posts, I had a dream that I went out and bought that cover up and bag because I loved how cute they looked together in your pic :rotfl2: I'm so envious of your honeymoon that I am dreaming that I'm copying it :rolleyes1

I love all of your shopping! The bags are gorgeous and all so girly! :lovestruc The coverup is really pretty too! Great picks! :thumbsup2

I am really looking forward to an update about your bridal shower! I remember how special my bridal showers were. I want to hear all about yours! :goodvibes

Thanks! Pictures from the shower are coming up next! :goodvibes

Courtney you just have the BEST style! I love those bags! Where did you get the one with the 3 flowers?

I know you will have a great time at your shower. I hope we get to see some pictures! :)

Thank you! :goodvibes The clutch with the three flowers is from New York and Company. I actually got it for $8! They have some great deals in that store, and things are always on sale. It's definitely one of my favorite places to shop. :thumbsup2

The shower update (with lots of pictures) is up next!

I totally agree!! I just love your style! I love the new bags. :goodvibes

Thank you! :goodvibes

Aww, have fun at your shower! I'm sure it'll be a blast!
I LOVE the white crossbody!! I was just telling DBF that I want a black solid hipster to wear at nights in the parks when I'll be in dresses for dinner. Where's yours from??

Thanks! I actually can't remember the name of the store! :sad2: It's not a chain (I don't think)...pink something, maybe? :confused3 I'll look and see what the brand is and let you know.

I love all of your bags, they are adorable! :) And the swimsuit cover up is really cute, too! I think I'm going to finally get a VB Hipster for my trip, but I'm having a hard time picking the color! :rotfl:

Have a great time at your bridal shower! :woohoo:

Definitely get a VB hipster! They are the best park bags - you won't regret it! :thumbsup2

those purses are so cute!!!! that hipster will work so well! Also, the straw-like bag for your pool stuff is a good idea! and that cover-up is cute :)

I can not wait to hear about your bridal shower :) SO EXCITING!!!! Means the time is getting near for your wedding day :) YAY!!!!!

and woohoo about being done with school for 3 months!!!! That will be a nice "vacation" time away from school :)

I am so excited to have this time off of school! It's the first summer I haven't taken classes in years. :cool1:

The shower update is coming up next! :goodvibes

BRIDAL SHOWER #1

As promised, I am here with lots of pics from my first bridal shower this weekend! This was the Tiffany themed one that my two MOH's hosted, although only one of them ended up coming to the shower (loooong story). The one MOH (my best friend since elementary school) who actually did attend the shower and did all of the work did an amazing job! She really worked hard to make the shower exactly what I wanted it to be. I feel very luck to have her as a friend!

The shower was supposed to be an afternoon tea (although I think only two people actually drank any tea - us southerners just don't drink much hot tea!), so we had an assortment of tea-type finger foods.

The table - minus a few dishes.

Blue punch, of course!

I seriously had no idea my hair was this long! It's been a long time since I've straightened it. I will definitely be having a trim before the wedding!

I just had to take a picture of my shoes! I love them, and they are actually pretty comfortable! Oh, and I promise my toes are painted - they're just a really pale pink!

For favors we decided to do a candy bar. We found these cute little Tiffany bags that we had customized to say "Courtney & Co." for people to take home. They were a big hit!

My aunt's house (where we had the shower) has a great screened in porch where they set tables up for everyone to eat. My grandmother made the cute centerpieces.

The guests could also take home their "diamond" engagement ring napkin holder.

Time for presents! This actually is really uncomfortable for me. I have a bit of social anxiety when it comes to opening gifts in front of people. I think it is because of this that I have always disliked my birthday. It was hard, but I made it through it and I got a lot of really nice things!

One of my favorite gifts - a Dyson vacuum from my grandmother!

All in all, it was a great shower (minus the minor snafu with my other MOH). I now have a dining room full of presents and another shower to look forward to this Saturday!

Your shower looks like it was so much fun! I love the theme, all the blue is so pretty! And the "Courtney and Co." bags were so cute!

Ugh, I hate opening presents in front of people! I had my DH at my bridal shower, so I made him sit there with me, in front of everyone, and we kind of just sped through everything!

Your hair is so pretty, don't cut too much off! :rotfl:

Thank you! :goodvibes I am so glad I'm not the only one who hates opening presents in front of people! Most people look at me like I'm crazy when I say that. I seriously think it's some sort of anxiety. I get so stressed out and I feel like I can't breathe! :scared1:

Oh you are just the picture of a Southern Belle. I loved everything about your shower. It looked perfect. I had MOH drama too so understand about that part (I had 2 best friends growing up so I couldn't choose between them to be MOH so I had my college roommate be my MOH...she was there when Randy and I met, hung out with us almost every day so it was ok. WELL, the drama got SOOOO bad that I literally have not talked to her since the day of my wedding 9 years ago. So ya, I understand. What I don't understand is not drinking tea at a tea party. I should have come...extra tea for me :rotfl2:

Thank you! :goodvibes Yeah, I think down south we just stick to sweet tea - iced, of course! We've had a few afternoon tea type events and no one ever drinks the tea! :lmao: The only people who did this time were my MOH and her mother and sister - but they're from "up north" as we like to say. ;)

Ugh, this MOH drama is ridiculous. I read about it so often! I'm really glad that I have 2 MOHs, because if there was only one I would probably be pretty upset. Luckily my bff more than made up for the other's lack of participation.

What a beautiful shower! :lovestruc It looks like your MOH put a lot of work into it and did a great job! I really love the "Courtney & Co." bags! :thumbsup2

You look beautiful and I love your shoes! :goodvibes

The pictures are great & your hair looks beautiful. Mine's gotten really long too (longer than yours, I think).

What a fabulous shower! :goodvibes

I hate being the center of attention so anything where everyone is looking at me, anxiety skyrockets! I know, bride, center of attention, I hated it :rotfl:

Oooh I just bought that Dyson vacuum its FAN-TAS-TIC!! :thumbsup2

Isn't there always some kind of drama associated with weddings?!

Everything looked so good. I love the Courtney & Co. favor bags with the dessert bar. I will have to remeber that for when my best friend gets married. It looks like you got a lot of great things and really had a nice time. I am sorry about your other MOH, but I sure it didn't even hinder anything!

Your shower looks amazing!! The candy bar is just gorgeous-- and I love that most people seemed to wrap their gifts according to your color scheme!!
I'm with you on opening gifts in front of others-- there's such an expectation to exclaim over each present, etc. It's exhausting-- especially being the center of attention.

Your shower was beautiful! What a wonderful job your MOH did!

Opening gifts at my shower was the worst- I got so flushed and hot from nerves. So I can totally relate!

Hi Courtney, your bridal shower looks amazing!! :goodvibes - all the food looked lovely.. what goes in that blue punch?! :cutie:

I have my 'hen party' in a few weeks time - our version of a bacholerette/bridal party.. we don't get gifts though, that looks like fun!
I'm going to find it surreal having all my girl friends from home/school/university & work plus family members all together for a weekend!!

39 days to go...... :cheer2:

Your bridal shower looked like it turned out so wonderful :)
Those bags were so cute! and the candy bar idea is great!!

I have social anxiety really bad. I hate eating in crowded places or going to bars or anything like that. I get through being in Disney when it is crowded because there are so many things to distract you and to get away from people :P
I didn't like openeing gifts at my baby shower or bridal shower. I am not a loud talker, and I don't like being told to "speak up" and rather just be in the background lol!

Looking forward to hearing about your next bridal shower :)

and I am sorry to hear there was a snafu with the other MOH... things happen, and you just need to remember it is YOUR day and not to worry about little things. :)

Thanks! :goodvibes I keep telling everyone that I'm really anxious about being the center of attention and they all think I'm nuts! I guess I'm just surrounded by lots of attention loving people! It is so true that weddings bring drama! Ugh - why is that? :confused3

I can't wait to use the Dyson. I have wanted one for years!

The bags really were a hit - my MOH got them from Etsy. She said they were a breeze to order and she got them a couple of days later. :thumbsup2

I loved the matching wrapping paper! There were a few in other colors, but I just didn't include those in the picture. :lmao:

The expected reaction is exactly what stresses me out! It's like you have to be excited enough, but not too much to make people you're faking it...ugh - I'd rather just open them in private! :sad2:

By the time I was done opening presents (and believe me, I flew through it as fast as I could) I was literally exhausted! I am not looking forward to having to do that again this weekend! :sad1:

I think there was some sort of blue kool-aid in the punch, and then either gingerale or sprite? :confused3 I would think blue hawaiian punch would work, too.

How exciting about your hen party - I had no idea they were called that (well, until I started watching all of the royal wedding coverage! :lmao:) I bet that is going to be such a fun weekend. I can't wait to see the pictures and hear the stories! :goodvibes

I'm not crazy about crowds either - sometimes it's really claustrophobic!

Ugh - I would be so angry if someone told me to speak up! I think that's kind of rude. I'm pretty sensitive, too, so I'd probably start to cry!
