Not sure if you saw the 'other' explanation. I will copy and paste it again...

We booked the other hotel for $115 for Sunday night- by getting our checkout extended for a day at POP we had to pay $116- One dollar more than the other hotel. It was worth staying at POP and not moving for only $1. I hope this all makes sense.


Well, we were thinking October 2012. That is a LONG way away! :

well that make more sense...that would of been some MAJOR pixie dust to get a room at Disney for only $1.00!

It will go by fast....you'll have that little man to run after and keeping up with Ana will make it a fun wait!
you'll be back before we are, but might be planning a trip to DLR hopefully for Pres Day weekend!

Tim's last few TRs have been excellent. Especially the parts that contained me. I wasn't down there this time, so I've pretty low expectations for this TR.

Hope Mel's Mother;s Day was PERFECT!!!

After checking in at POP, we drove over to the 50's section. We started unloading the car when our friends Bill, Jamie, Hannah, and Lizzie come walking down the sidewalk. They just came back from Epcot to go for a swim in the pool. We found out our rooms were right next to each other and only a few steps from the parking lot. They were having a great time but they were happy to see us (imagine that!LOL) We got the car unloaded and settled into the room. Hannah & Lizzie were going swimming so we found Juliana's bathing suit and I brought her swimming while Melody continued unpacking. Juliana had a blast playing with the girls in the pool for close to an hour. She could swim for hours but we had to go back to the room to get ready for dinner and our friends were heading back to Epcot for dinner. We weren't going with them- we had different plans for the evening. After getting ready, we took the short drive to the Poly.

We were greeted when we walked in and got leid!

We walked up the stairs and we saw Dave, Branda, Victoria, Alex and Dave's parents. The kids hadn't seen each other for a few months and they ran towards each other and were hugging!

We were only there a few minutes when it was time to be seated. Juliana was the designated bread person.

We were seated at a big table right in the middle of the dining room. Juliana opened a few birthday presents.

While the girls were checking out presents, Dave was checking out Branda's Lapu Lapu....

So Dave, what cha think?

We had our drinks and the first few courses arrived- Juliana and Victoria were off joining in on a parade.

I know Branda is smiling here, but I know wasn't smiling on the inside. She was thinking about getting back to her drink!!!!!

1/2 eaten food porn!

Before our trip, I was in contact with a few DISers that I knew were going to be in WDW while we were there. One of these DISers Brook (brookelizabeth). She was going to be at the Poly eating at Kona. I texted her set up our meeting.

We were stuffed to the gills- then they brought out dessert. Juliana was brought a birthday cupcake, which the three kids split and ice cream.

We had the infamous bread pudding with ice cream, bananas, and carmel!

Once again 'Ohana didn't disappoint (except for the dried out pork). I must of eaten a dozen or more shrimp and the turkey was cooked perfectly. There was so much food and we were at the restaurant for over 1 1/2 hours but I still feel like the food was rushed. I guess it has to come out that 'fast' when there are 10 different courses. LOL

The girls were happy just to get a few mini- umbrellas!

I texted Brook again and they were already sitting down at their table for dinner. They came out to the lobby and we had a chance to talk for a minute or two. Henry was being such a little gentleman.

I wish we could of timed it a little better but it was great meeting Brook, Joe and Henry! Thanks for leaving dinner to say hi!

Our plan after dinner was to head to DTD. When we stepped out of the Poly it was raining out. Dave and I ran to the cars and picked everyone up at the door. We drove to DTD in the pouring rain, thunder, & lightning and Mel & I were questioning if this was a smart idea. When we got to DTD I checked the radar and it seemed like the storm was about to pass. We sat in the car for 10 minutes when the rain looked like it was letting up. I made the call that we could make it to a store and not get soaked, so we got out and started loading up our stroller. All of the sudden, the skies opened up again. Melody and Juliana hopped into the hatch of the truck. I was laughing at them and I had to take a picture! (Look, she's still smiling!)

The downpour only lasted for 2-3 minutes then we tried it again and made it into the World of Disney. Juliana needed to use the bathroom and I was in contact with another DISer Crissy (smiliecrissy) and we were going to meet inside the WoD.

Juliana wasn't listening too well when we got in the store and we had just disciplined her when we met Crissy. She was so nice and brought Juliana some socks and a sock purse from the LittleMisMatched store- it was so nice of her! Thank you!!!! We had the chance to talk for a few minutes while Juliana modeled some sunglasses.

Crissy just moved to Orlando from the North East and lucky her- she gets to go to Disney whenever she wants! After a short meeting we were off again!

We walked around DTD for a little while longer...

We stayed at DTD much later than we wanted to but we were just enjoying being in Disney again. We said goodbye to Dave, Branda & family- we would be meeting up with them the next day- and headed back to POP.

Our POP friends were already back at their room when we got back and after getting Juliana to sleep, Bill & I grabbed a couple Yuenglings and went for a walk around POP. We saw this bunny hopping around...

It was a nice night but the wind was steadily getting stronger. We walked over to the generation gap bridge and just took in the sights.

We hung out for an hour or so but called it an early night. We had to be up early the next morning- we were going to breakfast with our POP friends and we had to leave EARLY!!!!!!
