Planning Our Happily Ever After - A Disneymoon PTR! (NEW 7/13 - TR Link!)

Yay for an update! It is hard to believe that your wedding is only 2 months away. That is so exciting!

Happy belated birthday, by the way. It looks like you had a good one. That's awesome that your dad gave you all of the place settings you were wanting!

Thank you! It was a good birthday. I was so excited to get all of the casual china - I can't wait to use it! :goodvibes

Happy belated birthday! Mine is April 10th, so we're only a few days apart! :goodvibes

It sounds like you got some awesome gifts! That's great! :thumbsup2

I LOVE your bridal shower theme! Those invitations are gorgeous! :lovestruc

Thank you! I noticed how close our birthdays are when I was reading your PTR. I'm really excited about the shower theme. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. :goodvibes

Happy, happy birthday!

2 months! How exciting!!
The shower invites are great- I love the theme.

Glad to see that everyone will have something to wear to the wedding!

Thank you! Haha, yes, we definitely want to make sure that everyone is clothed on the big day! :lmao:

Glad you're back! You've been busy! I absolutely love your dish set. Pottery Barn is the best. What a fun idea for your shower!

Happy Belated Birthday!! :)

I love PB! The dishes are really so beautiful. I am more excited about them than the fine china. :thumbsup2

Happy Belated Birthday Courtney!!! Sounds like your birthday was wonderful :)
I LOVE your everything! :) It's all so gorgeous!!!!
I am so excited for you :) 2 months from today you will be getting married :)!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to hear more planning!!!

p.s. My hubby surprised me with a quick visit to disney!!! We are going in may for 2 days. definitely SHORT, but I am so excited :)

Thank you! It was a good birthday - nice and simple just like I like them. :)

How exciting about your May trip! Where are you staying?! Eating?! Those are the two most important things, right?

Everything sounds so exciting! Makes me remember when I got married over 12 years ago! Enjoy this time! Looking forward to reading more!

It is a very exciting time, for sure! But so busy too!

Happy belated Birthday!
First off I have to say I love, love, love your breakfast at Tiffany's invitations to the bridal shower. They are too cute!! Second I love the stuff your dad bought from pottery barn. It is so classic. I love a nice white place setting. i also love the mother's dresses. Very elegant I think.
Oh I am getting so excited for you!!
I can not wait.

I fell in love with the shower invites when I saw them. So far we've gotten really positive responses. :thumbsup2

The PB dishes are even more beautiful in person! I think they will be really classic and timeless and will go with anything.

Happy belated birthday Courtney! Mine was April 11. :)

Too bad your bridesmaid don't work well together, but your shower looks like fun!

I love all the dresses you showed pictures of! And Miguel looks great in his tux. :thumbsup2

Wow, so many birthdays close together! Happy belated b-day to you too!

Yeah, the dynamic between the bridesmaids has been...interesting. Luckily, playing the mediator between the two of them has been the most stressful part of wedding planning so far! :lmao:

Happy belated birthday! Sounds like it was a great one-- I love your place settings! Very classic!
Your shower sounds like it's going to be really fun-- I LOVE those invitations!

I think the shower will be a blast - I can't wait to see it come together. :thumbsup2

Happy belated birthday, sounds like you had a great day! :cool1:

Love all the wedding stuff, the dresses are all so pretty! And I love the bridal shower theme, that's so creative, those invites are adorable! :)

Thank you! I think everyone's "looks" for the big day are really shaping up. So far everyone has looked beautiful in their dresses. :goodvibes

Yay Courtney!! We share the same birthday!! :bday:

All those dresses are gorgeous!

What a fab dad for getting you that place setting! :goodvibes

Less than 2 months! :woohoo:

How about that - we're birthday twins! I hope your b-day was good! :goodvibes

Happy belated birthday! You are so close to your wedding day!

Thank you! I can't believe how quickly it's coming up!

OK...psychotically love everything about your wedding? Breakfast at Tiffanys??? I've died and gone to heaven.:cloud9: I have a question though. What is the difference between the ushers and the groomsmen? Here they are the same boys :confused3

Happy Belated Birthday :cake: I'm impressed with your dad. I don't think my dad knew what China was :rotfl2: Then again, we don't have China. We have Pfaltzcraft. I figured since I didn't cook...I didn't deserve nice plates :rolleyes1

You know, for the longest time I planned on doing the tiffany blue color as one of my wedding colors, but I ended up giving up on it because it didn't match my venue. So, needless to say it holds a special place in my heart - I had to throw it in there somehow!

Here, the ushers are the guys who seat the guests and then once the ceremony starts they just sit down. The groomsmen of course are the one's up with the groom, but they don't come out until he does.

Yes, my dad is a wonderful gift giver! He's a pretty gourmet cook, too, so he gets the obsession I have with anything kitchen and dining related!

I LOVE  LOVE  LOVE all of the new plans...and the SHOWER!!!! :faint"
GREAT THEME!!!

I didn't realize our Anniversary and your Birthday were the same day...it sounds as if it were VERY special for you!!! I am so happy!!!

Your last Easter as a single lady!!!! :woohoo::yay::woohoo: I can't believe how close your wedding is now!!!

Awww, thank you! :goodvibes

You always find the cutest pictures! I especially love the easter one since Pooh is my favorite! It is fun having all of the holidays and special occasions and thinking that for the next one I'll be married.

DAY 2 & 3 PLANS (AND OTHER RANDOM UPDATES)

Hi everyone! I hope you have all had a lovely Easter! Mine was pretty laid back. I had lunch over at my grandparents house with a few aunts and uncles and my mom and that was it. Unfortunately, I've been doing homework all weekend. :headache: It's nearing the end of my semester so I'm covered up right now! I have an essay, a powerpoint presentation and two economics case studies to complete before tomorrow. Thankfully though, I only have two more weeks of school, and after today only one more weekend that I'll have to spend studying! I can't wait for the break that I'm going to have over the summer!

In some trip related news, the AP discounts were finally released! I have been waiting for these rates for months, and then when they're finally released, it's two days before I even find out! Luckily there were still rooms at the Poly under the rate, which is 30% (still not as much as I would like, and still less than the other deluxes, but better than the 25% we had with the GP discount). We're saving about $280 this go around (with the 5% additional savings). :thumbsup2 I think now that we have a solidified reservation I will go ahead and pay off the room. I think we have enough just from tax returns and birthday money, so I'm happy about that. For the time being I'm still staying firm in my decision to just use TiW, too.

And in some wedding related news, I picked up my dress on Friday! I thought I was going to be having a fitting then, but apparently I was just trying it on to make sure it was the correct thing and that a whole other dress didn't have to be ordered. I'm thinking that I will schedule my first fitting sometime within the next two weeks. For the most part, I'm pretty happy with how I look in the dress. I was worried about the midsection, but since it's a corset style it really sinches you in! Oddly enough, the place that really stuck out to me was my back. :confused3 I guess I'll be doing some back-specific exercises between now and the wedding! Does anyone have anything in particular that works for them?

Ok, on to what I really came to update about - our daily plans! Since it's been so long since my last plans post, I figured I would combine days 2 and 3. Here they are!

DAY 2
Day 2 will take us to Epcot - our favorite park. I'm really excited because we're getting to experience something completely new: the Around the World at Epcot Segway Tour!
563648e8.jpg

After the tour, we'll spend some time playing in Future World...

And then we'll head back to World Showcase for our Lunch at Chefs de France!

After lunch we might do a bit more in FW, but we'll most likely head back to the Poly for some relaxing. Just like during day one, we might end up at the pool!

Later that evening, it will be time to head over to DTD. I have a feeling I will be spending some time here!
c1f292c3.jpg

And finally we'll end up here! We love T-Rex and are really excited to eat there again!

We might do some more browsing after dinner or we might just head back to the resort to rest up for the next day.

DAY 3
On this day, we are finally going to get to try our the water parks! This is something that Miguel has been wanting to do for a long time, and that I've recently gotten really excited about. Before we leave, though, I will probably head down to Captain Cooks to get us some breakfast.

The park of the day will be Typhoon Lagoon!
7e85d1aa.jpg

We probably have lunch there, and will plan on being back to the Poly by mid afternoon. I hear the waterparks really wear you out, so I'll want us to have some time to rest up before our first signature meal!

I'm very excited about our dinner on this evening, because we'll be heading over to the GF to go to Narcoossee's! I've read some not so great reviews, but I'm really hoping we enjoy it here - the menu looks great, at least!

And on a side note, how is the dress code at Narcoossess, or should I say, how do people normally dress there? It seems a bit more casual than the other signature restaurants, so I'm a bit confused about what I should wear that night.

Sorry to hear about all the HW you have been doing!!!! BUT atleast the future of a break is near!!!!

For Narcoossee's, We wore nice bottoms and nice shirts, but I saw some people in jeans and a nice shirt also.

And as for May, I have no idea about where we will be eating, just that it will be 2 nice places (it's a surprise) I got to pick where we will be staying, and we are staying at POFQ :) I am SO EXCITED!!! I have been wanting to stay there!!!!
Also, We will probably only have time to go to MK and EPCOT since we are only there for 2 days. And possible stop at DTD of course ;) We also plan to get our AP's and the TIW card we will use on our trip in Sept... he also sprung a possible DEC trip on me too... It's still in the works ;)

hope you had a wonderful Easter and you can get your essay and presentaion done!!! Good Luck!!!

Hope you like Typhoon Lagoon, as I love it there!

We had a great time at Narcoossee's. Food was great, as was the view of Wishes (it was a late dinner). I wore a casual summer dress, while Ron wore jeans and a collared shirt.

Great update! The Narcoosee's menu looks soooo yummy, I agree! We almost decided to eat there this trip but changed to Cali Grill at the last minute. I hope it's good!
We love T-Rex, too. I think the food is great! There is something odd about how tired you can get at a water park (or the beach, for that matter!).

Great plans for Days 2 and 3! You're doing lots of fun things, but still leaving time to relax! :thumbsup2

The Segway tour looks awesome, I really want to try that someday! And I've always wanted to go to Narcoossee's, but never get the chance! It looks so pretty, in the GF, on the water! And the menu looks great too! :)

When in doubt on your honeymoon...always go with a sundress. If you are even a little over dressed- nobody will blame you because you are a honeymooner :thumbsup2

I'm a little late but here!!!

I'll be at the Poly the same time you will! We're only staying for a night CL but we'll be at POFQ for 3 nights, and 3 nights at Vero Beach, and Poly for our last night!

I'm going to go back and read all of your updates!!!

I can't wait to hear about the Segway tour! That is one we want to try in the future.

Yay for Typhoon Lagoon! That's one of my 'happy places'!

Never thought much about T-Rex, but now you've got me wondering... we'll have to check it out sometime.

And.... how exciting that you have your dress! It's getting so close!

I'm glad to hear the dress code at Narcoossee's is a little more relaxed - I think what I have in mind will work well.

Yay for staying at POFQ this month! As I've said so many times, it is my favorite resort! It is so quaint romantic. You are going to love it! :cloud9:

Hope you like Typhoon Lagoon, as I love it there!

We had a great time at Narcoossee's. Food was great, as was the view of Wishes (it was a late dinner). I wore a casual summer dress, while Ron wore jeans and a collared shirt.

I'm really looking forward to TL! I'm definitely more excited about it than BB. It looks so relaxing. :cool1:

I'm really hoping that we enjoy Narcoossees - I know it doesn't get the best reviews. :confused3 I think T-Rex is such a fun restaurant. :thumbsup2

Great plans for Days 2 and 3! You're doing lots of fun things, but still leaving time to relax! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I'm definitely trying to find the perfect combination of playing and relaxing. Here's hoping it actually turns out that way!

Narcoossee's looks so picturesque! If nothing else, I'm excited to see it! :lmao:

When in doubt on your honeymoon...always go with a sundress. If you are even a little over dressed- nobody will blame you because you are a honeymooner :thumbsup2

That's a great way to look at it! I'll definitely be bringing a few sundresses along. :thumbsup2

I'm a little late but here!!!

I'll be at the Poly the same time you will! We're only staying for a night CL but we'll be at POFQ for 3 nights, and 3 nights at Vero Beach, and Poly for our last night!

Welcome! Thanks so much for joining in! :goodvibes How exciting you'll be at the Poly the same time we are. And you're staying at my favorite resort too (POFQ). It sounds like a great trip!

You should definitely give T-Rex a try! It's a really fun restaurant. And the food is good, too. :thumbsup2

TRIP SHOPPING

I apologize for my sporadic updates, lately - I promise to be a better DISer soon! Thankfully tomorrow is my last day of class for this semester. I can not wait for my three month break from school! I have one final to take tomorrow night and one take home final that's due Sunday (although I am hoping to finish it up tonight so I don't have to worry about it any more) and that will be it! :woohoo:

I wanted to share with you all a few things that I've purchased for our trip recently. As you know by now, I love the VB hipster bags and I always use them as my park bags. I think the style of the hipster is perfect for park touring since it literally puts everything at your fingertips, yet leaves your hands free and for the most part you don't even have to take it off on rides. :thumbsup2

The only bad thing though, is that I feel I have to build my outfits around the prints and that typically means solid color tops. This time though, I wanted to do something a little different. For the most part, my VB bags will work just fine, but I have a few outfits that needed a solid colored bag to work. I was out shopping one day and I came across what I think is the perfect bag - it's the hipster style and it will go with a lot. I'm really excited to add this into my disneymoon wardrobe!

It's a little shorter than the hipsters, and definitely doesn't provide the same amount of room, but I think it will work out just fine.

I also found a couple other cute bags for the trip. I will use these for dinners (out of parks) where it won't be too much of a hassle to actually carry a bag.

And finally, I also found a coverup for the pool and waterparks. I had been searching for a while and couldn't find anything that I really liked, but then I stumbled across this one at TJ Maxx last weekend and loved it! I also found bag to use as my pool bag. I think it's traditionally a purse, but it is made out of a straw material, so I think it will be ok it if happens to get a little wet.

Here's a close-up of the handles - I love them!

In some other news, my first bridal shower is this weekend! It's the Tiffany themed one that my maids of honor are hosting and I'm really excited about it. I'll be sure to do a post on it this weekend! :goodvibes

I love all of your shopping! The bags are gorgeous and all so girly! :lovestruc The coverup is really pretty too! Great picks! :thumbsup2

I am really looking forward to an update about your bridal shower! I remember how special my bridal showers were. I want to hear all about yours! :goodvibes

Cute bags!

Have the best time at your shower! Can't wait to see pics! :goodvibes

Courtney you just have the BEST style! I love those bags! Where did you get the one with the 3 flowers?

I know you will have a great time at your shower. I hope we get to see some pictures! :)

Aww, have fun at your shower! I'm sure it'll be a blast!
I LOVE the white crossbody!! I was just telling DBF that I want a black solid hipster to wear at nights in the parks when I'll be in dresses for dinner. Where's yours from??

I love all of your bags, they are adorable! :) And the swimsuit cover up is really cute, too! I think I'm going to finally get a VB Hipster for my trip, but I'm having a hard time picking the color! :rotfl:

Have a great time at your bridal shower! :woohoo:

those purses are so cute!!!! that hipster will work so well! Also, the straw-like bag for your pool stuff is a good idea! and that cover-up is cute :)

I can not wait to hear about your bridal shower :) SO EXCITING!!!! Means the time is getting near for your wedding day :) YAY!!!!!
