Should I change from CBR to CSR???

Please oh please help me decide. I booked CBR because we have stayed there before like 11 years ago and it was the one resort I knew about in the moderate range. Now I just found out the CSR has queen beds, which would be a huge plus.

We are travel with two kids dd-4 & ds-2, which one is better for eating and playing and wait/walk times for buses to the park.

I just don't know what to do, guess I should have done more research now I am just conflicted.

We stayed at CBR once and CSR several times (and a few times when our older boys were very young.) I definitely recommend CSR!

I haven't stayed at CSR for a while, but my parents did in October and thought the renovated rooms were very nice, particularly for a moderate resort. I thought CSR buses were slightly better than CBR. In our experience, the Pepper Market was less crowded in the very early morning and much easier for us to navigate than the food court at at CBR (particularly with kids.) The pool area at CSR was great years ago, and I hear it's even better now. I also thought CSR was a bit more quiet than CBR.

Good luck with your decision! :wizard:

I would switch because (1) you get to try a new resort, and (2) queen-sized beds. :)

I like CBR but also like trying new places. I stayed at CBR my last trip and in hindsight wish I had picked a 'new' moderate to try.

Keep your ressie at CBR. It has a great pool area for little ones. I prefer it to CSR, which I only stayed at for one night.

As one of the other posters mentioned, it may be too late to change.

We love everything about CSR as did our kids when they traveled with us; we've not stayed at the CBR as the theme does not appeal to us and we did not like the food court at all...and now with the queen beds at the CSR it is a no brainer. When our son was at the CBR in July 2009 with his baseball team, they enjoyed the resort but said the pool was always quite crowded, but the buses were fine.

Here's a review of CSR with a person with little ones who said it was great with kids her age (ours were older when they stayed there). Oh, and there is a kiddie pool near the main pool as well as a great playground.

If you really want queen beds, I would switch, but to POFQ, not CSR. POFQ just finished a major renovation, so you would get a brand-spanking new room, with queen beds! With little ones your age, I think you would enjoy POFQ for its size as well. Great busses, great pool, and boat to DTD are other good reasons!

I have never stayed at CSR but we love CBR. We will be staying at CBR again in July!

I think CSR and CBR are even as far as walking distance to various areas within the resort and also I found the busses to be even.

To me it comes down to that awesome-for-kids pool area vs. the awesome-for-adults queen beds!

Which is not to say CBR rooms are not great for adults or that CSR's pool is not great for kids, but rather the new pool area at CBR is pretty much a heaven on earth for kids under 10-12. Splash buckets, zero entry, long slide, short slide for younger kids and the pirate theme. CSR's pool has a great slide, but its pretty long and daring for some kids under say 6 and it doesn't have the zero entry or splash features. It does however have a playground right there at the pool and the arcade is right there too.

CBR rooms are more kid themed with the bright nemo colors. I also love the large bathroom area at CBR with the double sinks. CSR has one sink with a nice long counter. So to me within the room, the bathrooms are equal. CBR rooms are a tiny bit bigger which is a plus. CSR rooms have a desk vs. a table with chairs. For us the desk would be way better since my husband generally has to work a bit over vacation, to others, the table with two chairs is better since it gives people a place to sit and eat.

Unless you or your dh is super tall and really needs that bigger bed, I would stick with what you have. You can try CSR for your next visit! And as others have said, it might be too late to switch anyway.

I would really suggest you just concentrate on what appealed to you about CBR. It gets so easy to over worry about our choices but in the end, all resorts have their pros and cons and they are all kid friendly. I do have to say, that CBR pool would be hard to give up! We have good friends going with kids around the age of yours and they picked CBR for the pool per my recommendation (its their first trip).

One other thing I do really like about CBR is that you can see the high up fireworks of Illuminations from around the resort since its so close to Epcot. Its nice on nights when you want to see fireworks but don't want to stay in the park.

I agree with everything the previous poster said about both resorts.

We have stayed at both. I would stick with CBR. We loved the newly refurbished pool, the lush palm trees and grounds, and liked the food court better than the one at CSR. Both resorts are pretty and very nice, but I prefer CBR and you can always try another mod for your next trip.

I dont know what the cost is of going to the moderate resorts, but next time ( probably too late this time) go to the section where people are " renting" their points for 10 to 11 bucks a point and stay at boadwalk or OKW or other dvc resorts-- the points for may are around 13 for week nites and 17 for fri/sat for a studio. much better accomodations! thats about 143 to 187 per nite-- how does that compare?

I think that CBR has an advantage over CSR for families with children in one important way (to me at least): CBR's food court is right next to the main pool (which is awesome for families with kids of all ages, especially of differing ages needing different things ie play areas, slides and zero entry). CSR's food court is a good distance from the main pool area.

It is so nice to have the food court right next to the main pool for meals, snacks, ice cream, to refill drink mugs. Yes, CSR has the pool bar where you can get food and refill drinks, but the hours vary and it may not be open when you are swimming and want to have that close by.

Both are lovely resorts, and wonderful to stay at but like I said, it's great to have everything centrally located like at CBR.
