One bedroom BCV or BC club level

Hi! This will be our first trip with our DD who will be 13 mos at the time of our trip in Oct. I cant decide if we should go with a one bedroom villa for the extra space with the crib/ pack and play or stay club level. Will the room be really crowded with a resort crib (if there are any available) or the provided pack? I know some people say not to stay club level for the food only, but we are not big eaters and hardly ever do TS restaurants sl maybe this would be a good fit. Although I do plan on going to Cape May for the character breakfast. Thanks for any advice.

I would recommend going with Club Level because it's great having the lounge and the service from the Cast Members, so it's not always about having the foods they offer.

1bdr villas are awesome..Full Kitchen, Washer and dryer in the room.Comes in handy with little ones. Also love the Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom after a long park day

I am no expert on CL, but aren't two of the biggest perks the lounge (food) and the CL staff's ability to help with dining and other ressies? If you aren't going to take advantage of those perks, I would go for the one bedroom. Having two rooms when you have an infant is such a blessing!

You can set up all your own appetizers and other treats in the kitchen in a one bedroom villa. The BCV one bedroom villa is really nice.

I am not a villa person as I wouldn't get much out of the kitchen and washer/dryer as I don't cook or do laundry on vacation, so if I had to choose, I would go with the CL room :). With that said, in your situation, if you will be taking alot of breaks and your DD will be napping alot, I think the villa would be great for the extra space and a place for you to relax while your DD sleeps ;). But if you will be on the go alot and maybe just relaxing at the resort in the evening or swimming during the day, I think CL would be nice to have....but you really can't go wrong with either one......it just depends on how much room you'd like to have :goodvibes.

One bedroom, hands down! I loved one bedrooms when my kids were little!

When the baby is ready for a nap, she can rest in the main bedroom while you hang out in the family room area ... or one of you can hang out while the other wanders freely about the Boardwalk area without worrying that the door opening and shutting will wake the baby. You will have a kitchen sink to wash bottles/ or sippy cups. Also, you will have a high chair, a fridge and microwave for any baby needs. Finally, you will have a washer and dryer in the room - laundry is not my idea of fun on vacation, but being able to wash any *biohazard* baby laundry at your convenience is very nice!

If you aren't big eaters, you can order in groceries for quick snacks ... or there are a few hot offerings in the gift shop/quick service area of your resort.

The only disadvantage I can think of in a one bedroom is the tub - it can be a challenge to scrub a child from the sidelines in that big jacuzzi tub. One of you might to have to climb in the tub with the baby for bathing ... unless you have really long arms.

Hi OP! I think it depends on how important space/room size is to your family and how you plan to use the room.

For us, it would absolutely be BC CL - no question. We have three boys (now ages pre-school through pre-teen), and we don't need much space at WDW because we don't spend a lot of time in the room. That's always been the case for us, even when the boys were tiny, because they were stroller nappers at WDW. (We tried naps in the room when our oldest was very young, and that didn't work out for us at all.) We usually request a full balcony so that if they fall asleep at night earlier than we do, then we have somewhere to sit.

The other reason we would choose CL over a villa is that I don't like to cook on vacation. The CL lounge is so easy and the food offerings are great - just walk in, grab what you need and either sit in the lounge or bring it back to your room. No shopping, ordering food, food prep or leftovers. We use the lounge quite a bit for breakfast and for appetizers before our dinner ADR. That way, if our youngest falls asleep before our dinner ADR or during dinner, he already had lots of healthy and convenient food in the lounge and is asleep for the night.

Finally, I have the sense that the BC rooms are generally in better shape than the BCV rooms - but that's based on several BC stays in the past year and no stays at BCV - just photos.

For us, the only negative of a BC room (vs a villa) is that we don't have laundry facilities right there in our BC room. But we pack enough to last us for the trip, and it's not too difficult to use the laundry rooms at BC in an emergency.

So CL would work better for us, but if you think you'll spend lots of time in your room, space or a separate room is really important to you and you don't mind bringing food/preparing food in your room, then you might lean toward BCV.

Either way - great choices! Hope that helps! :wizard:

I'd go the 1-bed route.

I've done club level at the Beach Club - before and after the lounge improvement. It's nothing to get excited about and certainly not worth extra money. The only they did that I care anything about was deliver packages to the room instead of the gift shop. I'm not paying them $100+ per night for that. I just shop less. :)

I have done both and I'd definitely take the one bedroom. BC club level is not very impressive and we prefer to make our own snacks and enjoy all the space we get in our 1 bedroom.

I would do the 1BR for sure. We stayed at BLT in a 1BR on our trip last year...and I was in LOVE with all the room AND the Washer and Dryer:cloud9:
I always have to do laundry while at Disney (a family of 6 makes LOTS of dirty laundry) and it was so nice to be able to throw in a load at night and not have to drag a few days worth down to a laundry room and sit and wait on it. Oh how I will miss that washer and dryer being right in our room on our trip next month...10 days at POP with DH, myself and 6 KIDS:scared1:

As much as we love CL, I would take the 1 bedroom BV instead. The BC CL is not very impressive, IMO. I'd much rather have the extra space instead. And we love CL and always go that route, just not at the BC.

Thanks everyone! I'm 99% sure a one bedroom is going to work out better for us based on all of your replies. Thanks again for all of the advice!

I know BCV has access to Stormalong Bay, but it looks like a good hike to get to and from. How bad is it to get to and from the big pool?

Also, can anyone compare BCV to the Boardwalk Villas? Sorry to hijack your thread OP.

Pros for BCV over BWV is quieter, much easier to self park (right next to the BCV vs a hike from the BWV), closer to Epcot.

BCV has the Marketplace for quick service, not so much at BWV.

It only take a few minutes to get to the main pool from the villas at BCV.
