Yeah i'm just posting this here because none of my friends answered their phones when I tried to tell them about it.

this guy asked me out and I go and he gets a ton of food and like four drinks, and I have a small dinner and no alcoholic drinks, and then he says we should split the bill. :lmao:

Today he called to see if I wanted to go out again...

part of me wants to accept the second date and then eat and drink more than he does to even the score before fully writing him off!

haha, not hot enough to be pulling that mess!

So arrange to see him again, order Crystal and filet mignon, have a fabulous meal, then leave through the restroom window!!!

ok so that was my 20 year old self speaking!!

It is entirely possible that you went on a date with my ex.

On second thought, he wouldn't have asked to split it, he would have asked you to pay for the whole thing.

Just go to another place that does not serve alcohol. There are a bunch of really good restaurants here that don't have a liquor license but have great food and atmosphere. Give it one more shot.

Find a nearby place, usually the ones that serve asain or just pizza/mex (not fastfood), ect. and just say that you heard good reviews of this place, you wanted to check it out, would they mind. I bet things will go smoother OR you will realize this person is an alcoholic and they don't remember ordering that many drinks and that you paid for all of them. :woohoo:

Or you could come right out and let him know that you were not too thrilled with his stunt, and that you don't care to repeat the experience of being used.

Or, go with the champagne and filet and window. :teeth:

:thumbsup2, THIS!

I don't think he's an actual alcoholic (who knows he could be!) I will just turn down the offer for a second date. Who knows he could be waiting to try the "order expensive food and jump out the window" trick on me!

So I guess guys in the US are the same as the Dutch:-) Hey,, we call it going Dutch.... :rotfl2:

Going Dutch is fine, but here in the states, if YOU ask someone out, it is custom to flip the bill. If your date offers to pay half, then fine, but at least be ready to pay for everything if YOU ask someone out.

That would be the same here across the pond ;-)

I'm with Mike, Surf & Turf baby! Split the bill and then a big ole...SEE YA! Totally selfish of him. HE asked you out, therfore HE pays the bill. He initiated the date...hello, Dating 101 basic rules! :sad2:

I told him last night I wasn't interested in seeing him again, thankfully he didn't ask why
