10 Days in ASMo is it too much?

We are heading back to Dis in late Aug for 10 days. We have never stayed in a value resort before. There will be myself and DH, DD 4, and DS 6. Are we going to be sick of ASMo by the time our trip is over? Should we upgrade to a Mod?

How about a family suite? I would want more room for such a long trip.

We did 10 days at POP (same size rooms) with our kids when they were 6 & 7 and had no problems at all. In fact were we sooo sad when we left. :sad2:

ok that's good to hear. A family suite for us doesn't seem worth it. Our kids aren't old enough to warrant two separate bathrooms and for the cost I would rather upgrade to a mod.

I agree with the separate bathrooms not really being necessary but I would like to have separate areas to live after 10 days. 10 days in one room with kids that need to go to bed early and parents that might like to stay up later this would be a great idea. It would also be nice with kids that age to have a "break" during nap time and where people can decompress.

We did it last year. We are upgarding to a moderate on Monday. We love pop but we want some resort time this year. Plus 10 days does get a little cramped in the room plus we are going to use the fridge.

I prefer a mod. We sometimes do split stays with a mod & Deluxe, but one year we stayed all 10 days at CBR and loved it.

We did 10 nights at POP with 2 teenagers last October and didn't want to leave. We will hopefully be doing the same this year. We just stayed as neat and organized as possible.

I think you will be fine. The resort is so much fun.

I wouldnt be so worried about being sick of ASm I did be more worried about being sick of eachother. My family does 6 nights/5 days in a Boardwalk studio (Mom,Dad, Me (age 29) and sometimes my sister (age 28) and by the end we need our space!

10 days at WDW??!!! Sounds great to me! Your kids are still small...you should have a great time and not be too crowded.

Happy Planning!

Goodness I just don't know! We will definitely be doing a fridge. DH votes for Movies but I do love CBR. I think the kids will have more fun at ASMo than CBR but grrrr decisions. Monday will be interesting!

I cant even do 1 night in a value resort...I go running for the door!

A mod resort is a much better choice or you could always do a split stay

Ok I just realized I need to do some serious math. We are already booked under the kids stay and play. I am eyeing the FD on Monday. I'm trying to figure out if I upgrade to CBR what will the difference be taking into consideration renting the fridge, the photobook, and the extra money to upgrade to basic dining if we stayed at ASMo. hmmmmm

You could do a split stay and go to ASMO first. Get the free QSDP and the refillable mugs. After a few nights, move to the CBR and get the free regular plan there. The best of both worlds!

Well it doesn't matter anyway. I just called and there was nothing available. No moderates at all. I think it's because I am booked under kids stay and play free. I'm going to try again on Monday under the FD offer just to see :(

My children will be 11 and 8 when we go next month. We will be at AS Movies, this will be our 12th trip in a value. (9th with the kids)

We typically stay 7 nights, we drive 1,250 miles each so add 4 more nights in a hotel room (2 stays each down and back) plus all the time in the car together. We are absolutely fine. If you want time away from the kids, I'd take the extra money and put the kids in one of the clubs for a few hours and have a grown up night with you hubby. That's what we do. And we love it.

I just don't see how a few extra square feet makes a difference (we stayed at CBR when the kids were 9 and 6)
