Hi! I'm headed out to Disney on Sunday for a two day/one night trip, staying at the CSR. I live an hour from Disney, but DD has never been. My Mom and sister and nephew are coming, as well. I have a few questions, as I have never stayed on Disney property before.
Myself and my daughter are the only ones staying the night. Mom and sister and nephew are all riding in with us for Sunday, in one car. Plan is to park at the resort, do MK, then go back to CSR for check in, swim, dd's nap, and dinner. Then they all go home for the night and leave us there without a car. Can they park for free at the hotel, if its Mom's car? Can I just tell them its my car since the reservations are in my name? The next day, Mom is coming back alone to go to Epcot with us, so can she park again at the resort in the morning, since I won't have checked out yet? And can we leave the car there all day while we do the park?
Also, if we would prefer to be close to the pool, can I do online check in, is there a way to request a specific building? Or should I just wait til we are there and ask then? I wanted to ask for Cabana 8a near the pool/bus stop. I'm just trying to figure the easiest way to manage all the getting back and forth stuff with the least amount of time wasted, since we will only be in park two days. (We're going back in two weeks for another two days, have a four day FL resident pass, so its not an issue of needing to see the whole park in a day, just don't want to spend a lot of time waiting, since I have a three year old who is not very patient)

You need to check-in first, so that you can get the parking placard; you are able to park in the parks for free. You may check-in as early as 7:00 am. Your room may/may not be available.

Also, if you stayed in the parks all day and then didn't get back until late in the day, you would have to request late check-in.

They can continue to use the parking pass, since they are with you.

You need to put requests on your reservation. You need to call CRO and add them there. Rooms will already be assigned by the room assigner, about five days before you check-in, so it may be too late to ask by then.

They are only requests and not guaranteed.
