I've been to both for breakfast and we want to try one of them for dinner on our next trip, please let me know what you like and don't like about both. We will be spending the day in MK so can easily hop on the monorail for dinner.

I have experienced both for dinner and I prefer 1900 Park Fare! I feel the food was better as was the character experience. The Step-sisters are a hoot! Also the Strawberry soup is delicious! my vote is for 1900 Park Fare!

I totally prefer CP for Dinner over PF. Though I prefer PF for Breakfast over CP lol. I didn't care for the food at PF for Dinner when we went in 2009 and our service was horrid! We LOVED CP for Dinner though, the food was great as was the character interaction.

I prefer 1900 PF but I see in your signature that you have an 11 month old daughter. If she is traveling with you I would suggest CP as the characters are more appealing to babies. My DS was 10 months old and couldn't get enough of all the characters.

Crystal Palaces food seems to have gone south the past few yrs we have been there. We went to !900 PF last Dec. and LOVED it. SO my vote is for Park Fare.

1900 PF hands down. Our worst dining experience at WDW was at CP for dinner for my then 2yo's birthday. Food was okay but the service was HORRID and the character interaction not even close to the other FOUR character meals we had that trip.

We've done both & I vote for 1900 PF. Food at both was okay---nothing stands out as horrible or wonderful, just regular buffet food. Character interaction at 1900 PF was great! DD was dressed as Cinderella, we were seated in the main dining area near the buffet, & she was able to dance with both Prince Charming & Cinderella. If you are seated in another section, you won't be in the middle of the dancing, but the character interaction would still be good. CP character interaction was fine, just took longer since the restsaurant is divided into two sections with the buffet in the middle.

She will be with us, she'll be 14months when we go. I also have a 12yo and 8 yo that I think would get a kick out of the step sisters. I think I'm leaning towards 1900...

Ummmmmm ! STRAWBERRY SOUP :stir: ! I have also experienced both - several times -for both lunch and dinner. Unfortunatley, the last time we were at WDW, we were doing MVMCP and had dinner at CP, so we could stay in the park. Our ARD was for 6:00pm - got seated at 6:50pm - not so happy:mad: . IMHO, with the children... and being in the park all day, you may actually be better off with 1900PF. Your children will still love it, and it might gove you just a little bit of time to "decompress" :rotfl: . But you really, can't go wrong with either one....

I'd do 1900 PF! We have eaten at CP every trip and last time it was just blah and it took forever to see all the characters. 1900 PF on the other hand was fabulous! The food was really good, they had a few different offerings besides the typical buffet stuff, our server was great and the step family was a riot!!!

I've done CP for breakfast and loved it. Haven't tried it for dinner yet, but I've heard some bad reviews. I've heard wonderful reviews about PF and we're going to try it for dinner for our honeymoon. I can't wait to see the step-sisters!

Thanks everyone! Got my 6:10 ADR for 1900 Park Fare. Now I just have one more meal to pick for our 9 day trip. Hmmmm....

I would have to go with neither...the food at both is way too salty and not the most appetizing

It's been almost 4 years since I've been there, but PF was the worst meal we had on that trip. I hated the strawberry soup and can't really say I liked anything that they had. My DS usually is like a vacuum cleaner and he ended up eating cookies.

Then I had a $100 Disney gift card that we won and I tried to pay for dinner with it and they told me there was nothing on it! OMG I was so upset and they had no clue what to do there. I went to the concierge at the GF and finally they were able to figure out that the server or cashier or whatever put it through twice! They didn't even apologize for doing that. So that may also affect how I feel about PF. Blah!

We liked both. As for the character interaction, we really enjoyed 1900 PF! The step sisters were hilarious! Even DS had a blast!

1900 PF all the way. I loved the food there and the character interaction there was AWESOME. My DS still can't wait to go back and see his gf Drisella. It should be said that he is autistic and she had him out of his seat and dancing with her. I don't think there's a better advertisement for character interaction than that, boys or girls!

1900 PF is the worst of all the character meals we have done, a claustrophobic environment, and a poor buffet. I could not wait to leave. Crystal Palace was lovely in every way and remains my favourite character dinner buffet based on food quality alone.

We are doing the Park Fare dinner in a couple weeks. I had a hard time choosing, but from what I've read, the characters can't be beat. We are also doing the breakfast there. :)

I have to agree. I really really wanted to like the dinner food at 1900, but i was HUGELY disappointed. I cant stress "HUGELY" enough!! They have a poor selection of food. Im not picky, but there were only a couple of things that appealed to me there!! The mashed potatoes and the strip beef. I did however love the atmosphere and the characters. Stepsisters are a riot!! Im so glad i went, it was a great experience. But because of the food, i wouldnt go back.

I did however LOVE my dinner at CP! Its sooooo sooooo much better than 1900 PF. Huge selection, and its very tasty. Love this place!
