How easy or hard is it to make friends at the cp?

This is one thing I'm really scared of ... Not making a single friend
My reason for this ... I have no friends in college and I'm scared this will happen at the CP
Outside School I do have alot of friends but at school I feel so alone
So ya does everyone make friends there ?

I had a roomie who left early because she couldn't make any friends, other than that for everyone else it seemed rather easy.

I made friends by walking over to the apartment of some girl I had talked to on FB and then by default made friends with nearly everyone in her building,lol. And then there is work, my coworkers became my closest friends, and many people are lucky enough to become great friends with their roommates. Honestly it isn't hard to make friends, the most socially awkward people down there ended the program with some of the best friends they ever had.

I'm the same way!!! I mean I can be really friendly and outgoing, but I need to get to know someone first haha hopefully I'll be a lot faster at coming out of my shell once I get down to Florida!!!

Join the Facebook group for your program. I met a group of friends last year that are heading down for Fall/Fall Adv 2011 that will be waiting for me when I get down there lol It's a great way to meet people and be sure that you have someone to look forward to meeting.

I'm not as worried about making friends because I know I already have some!

I'd say thats up to you. Inevitably when you are put in such close proximity with so many people around your age, you will at least meet people. Odds are, youll find someone with similar interests ( you already have at least a similar interest in working at disney). I wouldn't worry about it too much, but worrying about before you get there is putting you in a bad mindset, so just go there with an open mind.

Its easy to make friends unless you just don't talk to people. But if you talk people will talk back everyone is nice. Also the only bad thing about FB is a lot of people meet on facebook but never meet in person. So you can't rely just on facebook.

You know, I'll tell you my experience with this even though I haven't done the CP yet. I don't really have friends here at college, I tend to hang out with my boyfriend all the time and I have a few acquaintances who I can ask for help on homework and such but no friends whom I can really talk to.

I overall deemed myself to be incapable of making friends, thinking I came off as mean or weird. My perception with this changed after I studied abroad last year. I was gone for 5 weeks in a totally different country and it took a few weeks but I made really good friends with 4 or 5 kids from the group of 20. We we're experiencing the same things, seeing the same places, feeling homesick, struggling through the classes. It really gave us a change to bond. This is what I feel like the CP will be like, spending so much time with other CPers and sharing experiences is the key to making friends.

So see, just by you admitting that you have had a hard time making friends in college I can completely relate and if I were to meet you we'd already have something to talk about!

My daughter completed one semester at college and had no friends. For her second semester she did the Disney College program where she is now. She has plenty of friends now. I think one thing that helps is so many of the CPer's have a love of Disney that you're starting with something in common. And since you have a pass to the parks there is always something to do together.

I agree with the PPs. Join the Facebook group! I'm lucky enough to know 2 people who are doing the program from my school and am friends with both. But before I knew about them, I had joined the group and I've made a lot of friends just through FB! I even found my roommate and apartmentmates and we get along swimingly! There's already a Spring 2012 group! Join early and participate a lot!

join the facebook and twitter groups for your program and you'll start to get to know a lot of people that you'll be able to meet up with when they start at the park.

I've know a lot of my friends who have gone in and come out of working at Disney and they said that everyone there is great and that they had a great time and met a lot of people while in their programs.
