For me it's the Shrimp Wontons and Maui Scalloped Potatoes at Ohana mmm. So sad they are no longer served.:sad1:

Soft white hamburg and hot dog buns....I really wish they would bring them back :lmao:

I really miss the triffles that they had at the Rose and Crown, and also on the kisoks in that area. My mom still makes them here at home, but its not the same...

For me it was the Ribs and Slaw at Wolfgang Puck Cafe. It was one of my favourite meals in 2009 and it was gone in 2010.

I also agree with you about the potatoes at 'Ohana. Luckily my wife makes a pretty good imitation.

I thought of a few more...back in the early 90's EOS was a Disney mini mart with premade sandwiches, salads etc. I had the most incredible tuna sandwich on a french roll and I used to eat there every time we went to WDW

DH really misses the BBQ beef sandwiches from Flame Tree BBQ

The fresh made Toll House cookies from the original CS places in the Land, before it because Sunshine Seasons. For that matter...the Toll House cookie stand inside the Main Street Bakery, they had 8 or so cookies to choose from all fresh baked

The BBQ maple-glazed filet at Le Cellier; it was the best! I also dislike how, for their chocolate moose, they replaced the eyes and nose with M&Ms instead of the fresh raspberries ... cheap!

Foie Gras. Banned from Disney since October 2008.

The basket of breads and honey butter EVERY table got at lunch at Liberty Tree tavern to snack on.

When that was eliminated we know things were going downhill.:sad2:

(we have eaten here for the last 20 years)

I know this is dating back several years, but I miss everything at that restaurant that used to be in the Wonders of Life Pavilion. I think it was called "Pure and Simple"(????:confused3) & it offered vegetarian items, really good deli meat sandwiches, and it was very fresh and healthy, and very yummy! I wish they would bring back both this restaurant AND that entire pavilion!!

Nestle's Junior Chef (make your own cookies) in The Land.

Figaro Fries in Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland.

Coral Reef's blackened catfish.

OMG, I miss that so much too. Last year our dinner at Coral Reef was just not the same for me. I think I'm going to cancel our dinner there this year so we can go to La Noube that night for the first time.

I kind of miss the blackened catfish and cheese grits at the Coral Reef. That was good stuff.

whatever the heck the menu was at CRT in 2005!! I'd still love to see a copy of that menu if anyone has it!

What is it and why was it banned? :confused3

It's duck liver, but the farming for it tends to draw controversy because the ducks tend to get force fed to make the liver bigger. Anthony Bourdain ("No Reservations" on the Travel Channel) addressed the issue on one of his shows, and from what was shown, I don't have a problem with the way this is provided.

Chicago once banned restaurants from serving it, but almost immediately reversed the decision. Disney tried to put the "due to guest demand" spin on it when I wrote to them to voice my objections to the ban.

The chefs at Victoria and Albert's and California Grill want to serve it, since they did serve it before Disney took it off their menus. Disney won't allow them to procure any.

I don't remember what it was called but I called it Crawfish Monica. It was served at the wonderful Bonfamilles which is likewise extinct.

:)
