This is what I had been sitting underneath all night. Talk about inspirational!!

On the way out-

Joy of all joys, the boys managed to win one of the basketballs- you know, nothing says happiness like lugging a basketball home on a plane. I asked them what they wanted to do next, and surprise, surprise, they wanted to go back to SSR and shoot hoops! But first, we had to stop in EPCOT to see if my iphone was turned in. On the way....

It was just after 7pm, when the CMs at Soarin had said I should check at Guest Services for my iphone, which had spent the day on the floor underneath the Sum of all Thrills. They went in the back, and came out with an iphone- and when I pulled up one of the pics of us on it, they felt safe it was mine.

And it still WORKED. I could NOT believe it!! My iphone flew out of a ride and hit the floor from a 15 foot drop, and STILL it WORKS!!! I loved my iphone already, but now??? Now I am a head-over-heels fan for life. While we were in there, the MOST adorable, absolutely SWEETEST CM fooled around with the kids-

Then it was on to the buses, where we once again had BIGTIME transportation mojo, hopping right on, and right back to SSR.

Up next- a night hangin' at the resort.

Timmy hates, I repeat HATES soup, sauce, gravy or anything resembling any of those things,

What? No soup for him????? (In my best soup nazi voice....)

The best part? When i told the boys the way to eat the noodles properly was to SLURP them up! Perfectly polite to slurp those noodles as dramatically as possible! WOW...now THOSE are some table manners they can get behind!!

I want soup next month so I can slurp too!!!! Oh, heck, I can slurp if I wanna, I can leave my friends behind, cause my friends don't slurp, and if they don't slurp, well they're no friends of mine.......


the other time it was chicken noodle, onboard the Disney Magic.

Sure, just RIP my heart out a little bit more!!!!

Once the noodles had been sucked up, we went outside, and were just in time for the Matsuriza Taiko Drummers.

I am taking up this hobby. Just imagine how tight their thigh muscles must be!!!!

Next, it was on to Mission Space Orange, which had a 30 minute wait for stand-by. On the way, we ran into our friends the Webers, from town. They said they have NEVER gone on MS, not even the Green- and they wanted to know what was in the big golf ball. We did our very best to talk them into both, and I keep meaning to call her and find out if they survived!


REALLY???? Why would you willingly send someone on that death machine!!!!

I am a sucker for anything with PAMA in it, absolutely love the stuff, and this cocktail was fantastic! Our waiter was adorable, and he quickly took our order and brought the bread & EVOO tasting-

Mexico CS: The inside seating seems to always be open during lunch time - we sat in there too and it was picture perfect weather outside - but very crowded - outside.

Japan CS: I always found it odd that they put tempura shrimp on a soup - so I am not the only one who seems to think so!

Yikes about your phone and SO glad you got it back and it still worked .... hm, makes me think of a lady who left her laptop in a limo on the way to the port and got it back too!!

Karamell Kueche: yip, been in there too and chatted to the CMs in German!
Did you have some of the popcorn? I usually am not a huge fan of sweet popcorn, but that one is devine - need to try more during our summer trip!

Weren't the topiaries at Epcot just wonderful? Tom and I took about half a day to check them out (we went very shortly before they opened and most of them were already up! ) Your pics brought back so many fond memories! Thank you!

Kouzzina: We love it there - and we have never had complaints. And about the whole fish - they do filet it for you if you want it! It is out of this world good! Tom had it - it was huge but yummyyyyyyyyyy!!!

Okay, congrats to the boys for winning a basketball! These are the things that are fun taking home on a plane - like the umbrellas I usually get!

No, I was referring to the Soda Bread. I heard such rave reviews about the dessert, I had to go back inside and get some milk, I almost choked on the thing, because it was so dry.

I have had an iphone for 3 years and there is no better phone. I actually liked the iphone3G better than the iphone4 although there is something about the 4 that is so much more durable. In fact, it's almost impossible to scratch up the face of the iphone4 so I don't even use the protective screen on there. And I love it not just for the apps (which are pretty cool anyway!) but as a phone. I drop way fewer calls with these phones than any other phone I've ever had.

I have to make a beeline to Mexico when we go to Epcot in July so I can pick one of these up for Mike and make amends for the fact that I hustled him through Cozumel with an exasperated "Babe, we haven't seen them anywhere....maybe they just don't exist here? Come on! I want to get back on the ship!". Only to have him see one in the hands of a teenager at debarkation a few days later....

And if buying the skull doesn't work, the caramel place will be my next stop. Mike is a die-hard caramel fan. I told him there was a caramel store in Epcot now and I think his eyes rolled back a little!

If the skull doesn't get me forgiven, the caramel totally will!

Looks like you had a wonderful mini-visit! I am hoping my little one will grow a bit before October so I can get her on some of the height restricted rides. I still have never been on Test Track or seen Fantasmic at HS after our 5 times there but that's just an excuse to go back again!

OMG, that caramel looks so great! I love the stuff, especially turtles. We will also have to hit thecantina, it looks so much better than when we went in Sept of 09. They had those huge churros, but too much for me. I have to have one of those beef tacos!

My DH would love making that ride because he is math crazy He still wouldn't ride it though!

I just love it on the BW, one of my faves. We usually ride the boat from HD to the BW.

Ironically the meds that I take for my RA can cause permanent blindness, so I have to see an eye doc every 6 months.

Just getting caught up on your last few updates, looks like you are having a good trip so far.

I love that Gold Rush sundae! I am a big fan of the Reese's PB cup sundae at Friendly's and this reminds me of that one. My other love is caramel so you can bet I will be getting myself to that Caramel Shop in Germany when I am down there in May!

I am so happy you got your phone back! I got an iphone about three weeks ago and the second night I had it I had the worst nightmare that I had LOST it in FLORIDA on a Disney trip! I woke up in a complete panic.

-SCORE! (TSMM FP) I couldn't believe how fast those still go- they were like totally gone by noon the day we were there- crazy.

Seriously- you have to be there EARLY even on an empty day-

-Epcot- the topiaries look awesome, even in the rain!

-All the single riders, all the single riders, now putcha hands up- oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh! Earworm. love it!

-SOAT- oh my gosh, your iphone! I know what you mean, I got my Verizon iphone and it is now an extra appendage on my right arm. I hope it was OK, but it sounds like it might not be! Do you pay the extra $15/month for the full coverage (with my luck you know I do...LOL!) I should make you ride with Sav then you would never worry about it again because she builds the lamest rides!

I don't pay the $15/ month- it's expensive enough to have that phone every month! But it is worth it- and the phone was fine. Tell Sav to step up her thrill ride!! It's not a big deal- especially if sshe can do RnRC now.

-Cantina, ooh they let you eat inside for the CS...didn't know! those tacos look soooo good too. CHURROS!!! (can you tell I'm hungry?)

That Karamel Kuche is a beautiful store- the popcorn is supposed to be incredible, especially when it is first made. We're going to have to try some in May!

I did know that from the report you did- I hesitate because I know bones can remain, and that is actiually what I have a problem with- for some reason fish bones are a BIG turnoff for me. But the way it is prepared is right up my alley- I love fish done that way, with those seasonings. YUMMMM!
