My parents and I were planning on going to wdw this weekend, but we wanted to get the florida resident tickets. except... i left my wallet with my ID at college :sad2: the thing is, it would have been a great day: MK is open till midnight, so we could have done so much together. And the one time I forget to bring my wallet home is the one time I need it the most. my mom is so upset, we all love disney and she hasn't gone for close to 2 years. I really let her down. We're going in about a month with other family, but I don't know how to make it up to her in the meantime. Help?:confused3

Is it the ID the only thing that's keeping you from going? I believe WDW will accept other forms of proof of residency....water/utility bill, car registration, insurance info. Anyway you can scrape up another form of proof? If not, you should be able talk to someone there about this. I know other theme parks in the area were pretty forgiving in this situation for me (I was a temporarily in Florida, but usually had no prob getting Florida rate with my CM ID, although not a legit form of proof of residency) .

Good luck!

We called twice, and they won't take any picture id not issued by the government. And i have pretty much nothing in my name, except a credit card. It's so hard to believe that they won't take birth certificate, ss card, credit card statement, nothing without a picture on it. but thank you. I might try again in the morning. the only form of picture id i have besides my college ID and driver's license is my high school ID.

My sister got through US/Mexico customs with just her high school id once. Technically, since it's from a school, it counted as being from the government, so that might work for you. :) Good luck!

I don't mean to be rude here, but which Florida Resident ticket are you trying to get? I mean...isn't the difference between a one day Florida Resident ticket and a regular ticket only about $8-9? So, since you're three people, you're going to bag a whole day at Disney to save $30?

Why not cut the budget in other ways to make up that difference...like pack a lunch instead of buying food in the parks.

We're getting the wild 4 disney pass, and that's 4 day's admission for $120.
I'm going to keep calling and hopefully bug 'em enough that they'll just say "okay." :lmao:

edit: called twice, and while the first lady was nice, the second lady seemed absolutely *appalled* that I didn't have a form of picture ID. I even offered my SS card and they said no! WHAT? It's not like I just go around asking people if they need to borrow my social security for a while! And why list alternate forms of ID if I don't have the primary form to begin with? :headache:
So, FFR, don't forget your wallet. thanks for the advice, ya'll.

Well are you attempting to get 3 tickets with just your ID? Because for any FL Resident ticket, every adult in the party must have some form of Florida ID, not just one person.

That's fine, fluffedmojo:)

And no, the problem was my parents have their IDs, but I didn't, so I would have to buy a regularly priced one-day park hopper ticket for $100 :scared:

This won't help - but may provide explanation.

Birth Certificate doesn't work because it does not indicate that you are CURRENTLY living in FL.

SSN would be worthless - Disney would have no way to use that to pull your residency, plus, Disney will NEVER take a SSN.

What you need... is something that says you live in florida, and without any bills under your name, that will be hard to prove.

I know you're not trying to cheat the system, but SOOOO many people do. Therefore, Disney has very specific rules and is not likely to bend them on discount tickets.

Probably more expensive that you want... but you could always visit the DMV and indicate that you do not have your id and get a new one. Once you get back to school you'll want to turn your old one back in, but at least it would help demonstrate residency.

Not to mention... even if they did let you purchase a ticket... you will still need to provide a FL ID the first time you use the ticket. This is to make sure FL residents do not purchase tickets for friends.

We just skipped the day. I guess the way my frustrated mind interpreted it is that, i can bring all those things to the DMV to *get* a license, so in my head at the time it was the same thing
