This whole thing is a nightmare for so many people, while congress sits up there working on something that should have been taken care of 5 months ago. How many vacations did they have during that time? I know that they were on vacation just a couple of weeks ago! Insane. That should be against the law when they are working under a continuing resolution.
Yes, however people should realize that none of this is really budget related. It is all politically charged due to a shift in power in congress. Although it is true that they technically had 6 months to iron this out, the reality is that they only had 3 months with the current congress. Please don't construe this as blaming any one side, it is just that there is a "power struggle" whenever the balance of congress shifts away from the presidency.
