Hi everyone,

I would just like to know if they include things like dishwasher tablets, laundry detergent, shampoo etc?

Do they replace things when they run out?

Also, I heard there is no kettle to make tea. Is this true?

Thanks!:goodvibes

All those things are provided and you can get replacements if you run out. The only thing I would suggest to bring are dryer sheets.

Not sure about a kettle. A similar question was asked in the "we loooooove bonnet creek" thread a while ago. Lots of info in there.

Just came back from BC and just to let you know, I did not see a kettle.

I brought those 3 in 1 sheets for the laundry. There was dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, trashbags, etc. There was a little shampoo and conditioner but we brought our own.

Thanks for the replies.

Does anyone else know if they have a kettle? If they don't can I request one?

Also, I keep hearing that there is no wireless internet in the room and that to get this I would have to bring my own router? Is this true?

Thanks :)

I don't remember a teakettle, but I stay at so many resorts I sometimes get the amenities confused.

However, I always just use one of the smaller sauce pans if a kettle is not available.

In the towers I have stayed in, the only official free Internet was wired. Some of the new presidential units may have wifi.

The easiest solution for a family with a pile of internet devices is to bring your own router. I've seen many routers available for $20.

So annoying about the kettle and wifi. You would think that in a resort like this they would have these facilities :rolleyes1

We stayed at Bonnet Creek during our xmas trip and took our own router. This way we could all use our laptops when needed. I will be staying at Disney's Old Key West in October and already know that internet is not provided free of charge. One of the reasons DH prefers to stay at Bonnet Creek.

Where is the wall plug for the wired internet in a two bedroom unit?

We're at WBC now. There isn't a tea kettle in the room. I would use either the glass measuring cup to heat up water in the microwave - or you can use a pan on the stove to heat up water.

We were given some starter toiletries in the bathroom. Small travel size shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, mouth wash, adequate bars of soap for the shower & sinks, dishwashing detergent packets, a small bottle of liquid dish soap, laundry detergent, and paper towels. It's better stocked then many other timeshares we have stayed in.

Last year, we stayed in Building 1 and I was able to get wireless internet. Not sure if it's because we were closer to the main activity pool. We were able to also get wireless at the main pool. This time, we are in Building 2 and we do not have wireless. We do have free wired internet access. It's a cord near the phone in the kitchen. There is an electric outlet on the breakfast bar, so we are using our laptop on the breakfast bar. Honestly, it's working out fine since we really aren't on the computer a lot.

So the ethernet cable is provided? I know we would need to bring our router, but wasn't sure if the cable was provided. Good to know.

Also, I bought electric tea kettles from Amazon last trip to DW because kids stayed in ASMo and the value rooms have nothing at all...just basic room. They worked really great!

If you're looking for just a plain one (not electric) I'd think wal-mart or target would have them for pretty cheap.

Thanks, I live in the UK so I will have to wait until I get to Florida to buy one. I hope I can pick one up in either Target or Walmart for $10 or so:goodvibes

The ethernet cable is provided. In fact, I am using it right now.

We're about to watch the final night of Epcot & MK fireworks from our balcony. It's been great weather - so I'm a bit sad to go home to cold, ucky weather up north.

I hope they provide wifi in all units and towers soon. Ethernet is just old technology now and for a resort like BC I would expect them to have something as simple as wireless internet.

Well at least taking my own router I know my connection is secure and behind a firewall. Wi-fi, while nice, isn't always the safest thing when it's not password protected.

Has anyone brought a router from say Walmart and then returned it after their stay?

I'm coming from the UK so it's just not practical to lug one across the Atlantic :lmao:

We take a little Apple express with us across the Atlantic! Really small to pack and you can pick up the us plug section on eBay :thumbsup2
