Welcome to my First PTR?TR. I hope you will all enjoy this as much as I love coming to Las Vegas. This is not our first trip to Vegas but it will be to post this PTR.
Some of you may be wondering about the title. To give you a little backround it is me and my DH we are both in our 40's. He is an avid golfer and hope to have him to pro golfer in the near future. I am just his wife who supports him for doing this.
Welll this trip came about from the previous golf tournament his brother was holding in Arizona. Last year the contract was up so my husband asked if he thought about doing it in Las Vegas. Well he thought about it and said yes. So mind you know this is a a trip that was planned for a year and we were saving for this. There are around 10 to 12 teams that attend this tournament. Well needless to say everyone was thrilled to hear the news it would be in Vegas.
I sent the DBIL the money in January. On the first of Feburary DBIL sent a email stating he sent the money back and the tournament was canceled. MY first thought was is this an april fools joke. I literally looked at the calendar. DBIL is a jokester. But no it was no joke. I called my DH and asked if he spoke to his brother and he said no. I told him what happend and he was speechless to say the least. His dad called and asked if we knew what happend. We of course said no. And to boot DBIL never gave a reason.
I got to thinking about all this and asked my DH if he thought about doing this for him so no one elses trip would be ruined. He did say yes and so that leads us to where we are right now.
This is where my headache begins now DSIL is involved and she is wanting to set up a whole different email account for this to communicate with the Hotel and the Golf coourse. And we thought the contract would have to be changed. It took a course of a month for her to set up this email. Now I have a ton of email of how to book a room for people who need one. Next round if we do this no pre book for anyone cause everyone got basically comped rooms here. So needless to say only a handful of us need a room. Not worth the contract.
I forgot to mention second reason for this email account ( its linked to him ) he still wants to know what is going on. I thought what for you canceled and gave no reason and you want to know what is going on. I dont mind telling him how everything is and send pics. I dont know maybe I am wrong for thinking like that. Well my DH likes to know about a course before he plays and he needs to know about other things for the players that are playing. I wont bore you with all that. It gets to complicated and quite frankly if you dont play it may be really boring.
So we set a date to come here and take care of the issues. We will be staying at the Planet Hollywood for the tournament. So we needed to find a place in the hotel to have a meeting. We found a place just hope its not so overly crowded for this in the lobby. We also needed to get Trophies made.
Well Sat the 12th we set out for Vegas at 2 am. We made good time and rolled at 10 am. Our first stop was at the trophie shop. When I get them I will post pics. Please be patient as I am still learning how to post certain things.
I had been up for over 24 hrs by the time we got here. We did not get out and do to much as trying to do things for this tournament. But after a semi good nites sleep I am up in the coffee shop at the Strastophere and getting ready to head out and enjoy my day. I may not have much to offer this round but the good news- We will be coming back in 3 weeks. Yippee!!
So I hope you will join me on this journey. I may surprise myself. I always have things go differently than I expect. Its a good thing I did not find this site along time ago as I would have had plenty to tell. I will keep updating as soon as I get more info to post.

I've organised a couple of corporate events for the company I used to work for; so I'm already on tenterhooks for you. Hope it all worked out.
DH & I don't golf, but my DS is in a tournament with his friend's family every year. He always looks forward to it. I'm sure everyone appreciates you taking on the organizing!
