Thank you Chase! They sent "The S**** Family" a credit card offer a month ago for 150 disney rewards points after first purchase - my wife and I both signed up for separate accounts, made a single purchase, paid the bill, and received the $150 gift cards for our September trip. Then last week they sent us another offer in the mail for the same card but for $200 gift card after first purchase - signed up again and got approved, cards are on their way.

$700 in disney gift cards for a little work, not bad at all! Going to get some great souvenirs this year. Anyone know if I could use them for restaurant tips, BBB, Grand FLoridian tea party for kids, and/or MNNSHP tickets?

FYI--you can have 3 cards each :thumbsup2
It's like taking candy from a baby!!! We got about $800 from the offers. We charge $10 in gas and then pay it online the same day-then stick the card in the file cabinet. Works for us!! We got loads of goodies at the gift shops :lovestruc

my grandmother already has a disney visa and tried to sign up for another for the reward and they wouldn't let her. should we try again??

I signed up for a second one and didn't get it because I already had one!

we got that too! it's fantastic ! I signed me up and my DH up, used each card for lunch and SCORE! we each got $ 200 Disney Dollars. And yes, it does kind of feel like taking Disney candy from a baby!

So I tell my DH yesterday, "look how good we're doing, we're at $475 Disney Dollars already " (they transfered the 75 I had on our previous Disney visa to my new one)....well, if you could have seen the look on his face!! :rotfl2::rotfl2: He says "wait, what the heck did you charge ? isn't it like $1 for every $100 spent?" I can't even tell you how funny it was. Then I reminded him what the dollars were..... instant relief for that man ! :lmao: And that, my friends....priceless !

help. if you hear or see a thread for a chse disney card for either $100 or $200 offer. would be appreciated.

thank you

These are multiple credit cards you are applying for? How much does that hurt your credit score to have that many lines of credit open, and multiple applications in a short time?

it does because it's on your record if you do....there is always a big brother watching you. my sister's friend did the same thing.

We have multiple Disney Visas also. I would not have done it if we were going to be trying for a loan in the near future. Each person needs to decide for themselves if their credit score can take the small hit that opening new cards gives.

I would I personally have 3 in my name alone. One from last year with a $100 statement credit after first use, the $150 gift card from last month, and now this $200 gift card on the way.

Do you have other Chase accounts? I had a Chase freedom and applied for the Hyatt by Chase to get 2 free nights at any Hyatt anywhere in the world after your first purchase - they originally denied me because I had too many accounts open, I called them and told them I wanted to close my Chase Freedom card, they asked why and I told them because I was denied the Chase Hyatt card for having too many accounts open, they transfered me to someone else who was able to close my Chase Freedom and approve me for the Chase Hyatt and transferred my available credit over to the new card.

will do, but like someone else mentioned, they usually have to send you the invitation in the mail - the best I was able to get before these 2 offers was a $100 statement credit after first purchase using an online link.

Yes, I have 3 disney cards right now (and my wife has 2). I was told it only lowers your score by 5 pts each time but after a month or so goes back up. I really don't care about credit - have no loans except for my mortgage (thanks Dave Ramsey), don't anticipate taking out a loan anytime soon and pay off my credit card every month. Only use a credit card for the 2% cash back (Fidelity AMEX). Got addicted to these credit card games while reading mymoneyblog.com. Since last November 2010, I've received $300 in disney gift cards with $400 of disney gift cards on the way. Received 30,000 delta skymiles (since I snagged cheap fares $150/RT) I used the miles to get $300 in gift cards to restaurants and retail stores. Also have gotten 4 nights free at Hyatt (doing a weekend at the chesapeake bay hyatt in June and then 2 nights in NYC in December). Oh yeah, also received enough continental miles for 2 roundtrip flights and $300 worth of gift cards from Sony from Capital One (bought a playstation move for the kids for christmas).

I just got this offer in the mail yesterday & thinking about doing it. We have good credit but have 2 credit cards with high balances. We are working on paying those off. DH is afraid we will run a new card up, but I truly have the discipline NOT to use it. Just want that $200 gift card since we are going to disney in a few weeks, it would be great to have that bit of extra for free.

what do you think?

I don't think you can get the gift card that fast. I believe it comes after the first billing cycle (4-6 weeks?)

I, and many other DISers, asked Chase to match the $200 offer with success. I signed up with a $150 offer and then Chase credited me $50 to match the $200. Apparently they will match offers if you contact them within 90 days (I think) of being approved for your card.

I applied for a different offer on line. It took about 10 days to get the credit card. I activated it right away, used it and received the gift card in the mail between 2-3 weeks after the first use.

I am still waiting for one several weeks later!

It says it will take 6-8 weeks AFTER your first purchase.
